Large number of research on gaze direction has been given and improved in statistics, biometrics, organizational behavior, etc. Details of gaze methods are essential conditions for human-computer interactive control, human intention prediction, expression analysis, cognitive state analysis, etc. Although active and significant progress in last decades, eye detection still remains challenging to deviation of location, variability in scale, individuality of eyes, complexity of cameral, calibration of person and related instruments, fixation of head pose. In this paper, gaze estimation has been discussed and various models of gaze detection and tracking have been presented, which show current theoretical need to be further modified in order to improve general gaze tracking estimation solutions in computer vision and beyond.","PeriodicalId":312629,"journal":{"name":"2015 10th International Conference on Intelligent Systems and Knowledge Engineering (ISKE)","volume":"36 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134644240","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

When a pig lowers its head or walks very slowly for a long time, it is probably in bad health. And a pig walking quickly with its head up may mean it is irritated or frightened. These behaviours traditionally rely on manual observation. With the development of computer technology and digital image processing, machine vision gradually penetrated into various fields of agriculture production. In order to better monitor the behaviour of pigs, a new posture recognition method based on Zernike moments and support vector machines is proposed. First, the Otsu adaptive threshold segmentation is used to obtain the binary image. Then the contour of pigs is extracted by canny edge detection and morphological algorithms. Second, the Zernike moment feature parameters are extracted from the normalized binary contour images. Based on the above, the posture classifiers are designed according to support vector machine theory to recognize four kinds of behaviour postures of pigs, including walking normally, walking with head up, walking with head down, and lying. The experimental results show that the combination of Zernike moments and support vector machine makes the extracted features more sufficient and effective. And the posture classification accuracy of pigs reaches 95%.","PeriodicalId":312629,"journal":{"name":"2015 10th International Conference on Intelligent Systems and Knowledge Engineering (ISKE)","volume":"19 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129782001","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In LF(X), we give the concepts of lattice-valued Horn generalized clause and normal lattice-valued Horn generalized clause. The α-resolvent of two lattice-valued Horn generalized clauses is also represented in LF(X). By using a substitution in each resolution process, we delete α-resolution literals and obtain their resolvent. At the same time, completeness theorems are also established. The present method can provide an efficient tool for automated reasoning in lattice-valued first-order logic system.","PeriodicalId":312629,"journal":{"name":"2015 10th International Conference on Intelligent Systems and Knowledge Engineering (ISKE)","volume":"6 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128978112","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Utilizing the real time machine sensor data in order to predict problems ahead in time to mitigate the risk associated with unplanned failures has been of great interest to statisticians and reliability engineers as there are direct cost saving benefits. In effort to reduce downtime and improve overall reliability of the system, a robust, scalable modelling technique is desired to understand and forecast the future dynamics of the system as whole. We propose and analyze a framework for stochastic modeling of multidimensional machine sensor data. The system developed is self-adaptive and can be used with live data feed to provide real time predictions. We utilize the concept of low rank matrix approximation for efficient storage, retrieval and faster computation of real time data. Markov chain is used to model the process dynamics and to calculate short and long range probabilities of the system which can be used to identify potential failure introduction points in the system.","PeriodicalId":312629,"journal":{"name":"2015 10th International Conference on Intelligent Systems and Knowledge Engineering (ISKE)","volume":"59 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123906328","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

As one category of transfer learning approaches, feature-based transfer learning approaches aim to find a latent feature space shared between source and target domains. The issue is that the sole feature space can't exploit the relationship of source domain and target domain fully. To deal with this issue, this paper proposes a transfer learning method that uses deep learning to extract hierarchical feature spaces, so knowledge of source domain can be exploited and transferred in multiple feature spaces with different levels of abstraction. In the experiment, the effectiveness of transfer learning in multiple feature spaces is compared and this can help us find the optimal feature space for transfer learning.","PeriodicalId":312629,"journal":{"name":"2015 10th International Conference on Intelligent Systems and Knowledge Engineering (ISKE)","volume":"292 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132618462","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
