Feature selection and extraction have become an obvious need for the analysis of this microarray. There are many different methods for selecting and extracting attributes, and they are widely used. One of the serious tasks is to learn how to extract useful information from huge microarrays datasets with complex relationships between different genes. These methods are aimed at removing excess and irrelevant traits and extruding marker genes that effectively maintain classification accuracy. This report gives an overview of the various ways of performing dimensional reduction methods that were used in these microarrays to select important features and presents a comparison between them. The advantages and disadvantages of several methods are described in order to show an obvious idea of when to use each of them to save computational time and resources.","PeriodicalId":312521,"journal":{"name":"2019 International Conference on Intelligent Systems and Advanced Computing Sciences (ISACS)","volume":"12 5 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133994108","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The contribution of the paper is fourfold. First, we apply Logistic Regression classifier to determine the sentiment orientation of movie reviews (positive or negative). Second, we use LSI method and cosine similarity to compute the semantic similarity between reviews. Third, we compute a custom reputation value separately for positive opinions group and negative opinions group. Finally, we use the weighted arithmetic mean to generate a single reputation value towards the target movie.","PeriodicalId":312521,"journal":{"name":"2019 International Conference on Intelligent Systems and Advanced Computing Sciences (ISACS)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129499672","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In fact, so many algorithms are proposed in the research field these last years. The basic idea of our paper is to propose an efficient segmentation and classification approach based on a discriminating classifier capable of distinguishing between moving objects and static objects in real time. Thus, static objects are considered to belong to the background and moving objects will be surrounded by a bounding box facilitating their tracking. In fact our proposed algorithm proves itself by the experimental results which show its strength by having the highest rate of recognition and localization precision comparing to other classical methods.","PeriodicalId":312521,"journal":{"name":"2019 International Conference on Intelligent Systems and Advanced Computing Sciences (ISACS)","volume":"5 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127398964","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The PSO-BISMC controller, proposed as an original approach, combines the features of both standard sliding mode control (SMC) and backstepping approaches. Moreover, the integral action is introduced in the tracking error term to improve the BSMC controller performance. On the other hand, the PSO method is applied to optimize the BISMC controller parameters. The controlled PV system stability is demonstrated using the lyapunov function. Furthermore, simulation studies of the proposed PSO-BISMC are investigated and compared with the BISMC controller as well as to the BSMC controller. Simulation results prove that the proposed approach show more robustness against atmospheric conditions variation with fast transition response and best tracking performance compared to other controllers (i.e. BISMC and BSMC).","PeriodicalId":312521,"journal":{"name":"2019 International Conference on Intelligent Systems and Advanced Computing Sciences (ISACS)","volume":"25 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132646240","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The process of calculating gain takes into consideration only a current condition attribute and decision attribute, and the other condition attributes cannot be used to measure the attribute importance. Because of the above problem, an improved ID3 takes into consideration the connection between the current condition attribute and the other conditions attributes. An experiment is presented to compare our improved algorithm with the traditional ID3 algorithm. Experiment results show that our improved algorithm provides a decision tree with less number of leaves and higher predictive accuracy.","PeriodicalId":312521,"journal":{"name":"2019 International Conference on Intelligent Systems and Advanced Computing Sciences (ISACS)","volume":"55 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133153726","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
