In this contribution, we focus on the use of the acceleration sensor integrated into the smartphones to capture the vibration signal of the vibratory phenomena such as the pendulum, beam vibration, rotating machines. In the first case, the main objective of the simple pendulum test is to determine the oscillation period (T), then the determination of the acceleration due by gravity (g). In the second case study, the objective of the beam vibration test is to determine the damping ratio (ζ) from the logarithmic decay (δ), then the natural frequency (ωn) of two different beams with different stiffness (aluminum, and brass beam). In the end, the purpose of the last study is to identify the vibration signature of the unbalance defect in rotating machinery, based on the amplitude and the phase shift of the vibration signal. The experimental results indicate that the smartphone presents acceptable results compared to the theoretical results, which support the validity of using smartphones in education to implement various experimental works.","PeriodicalId":312521,"journal":{"name":"2019 International Conference on Intelligent Systems and Advanced Computing Sciences (ISACS)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123471615","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this task, we take advantage of Geant4 Application for Tomographic Emission (GATE) version 8.2 (OpenGATE Collaboration) to simulate the linear accelerator system. IAEA phase-space files are exploited so as to speed up calculations. The model developed contains the majority of the components of the patient-dependent part using in 6 MV Elekta, such as: Multi-Leaf Collimator (MLC), Tongue and Groove T&G, Rounded leaf Part and finally the Jaws. This model is used, with a homogeneous water phantom with dimensions 50 × 50 × 50 cm3, positioned at a Source-to-Surface-Distance (SSD) of 100 cm, all of the interactions of the mega voltage 6 MV radiations in water are simulated. The comparisons of our results are performed with measurements in a water tank taking the same dimension and position used in our model. The Percentage Depth Dose (PDD) and transverse profiles, at depth ranging from 1.5 cm to 20 cm, for field size of 10 × 10 cm2, are calculated using dose sizes of 5 × 5 × 2 mm3 and 2 × 5 × 5 mm3 for PDD and profile measurements, respectively. In addition, the photon energy spectrum, the beam quality such as $D$10(%), dma (cm), d80(cm), TPR20/10, the two relative differences in dose were derived on ψi and ψi,maxare calculated, respectively. Finally, the results obtained show a good agreement between the simulation using GATE software and measurements data.","PeriodicalId":312521,"journal":{"name":"2019 International Conference on Intelligent Systems and Advanced Computing Sciences (ISACS)","volume":"24 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123605550","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, they suffer from some limitations such as lower efficiency at peaking power demand. In some applications, they are combined with supercapacitors, who can deliver high power at the expense of lower energy aptitudes. This combination of power sources constitutes a very attractive hybrid energy storage system for electric vehicles. There are numerous topologies and control schemes for such systems and standard drive cycles are usually used to validate such systems. In this paper, a machine learning method is proposed to manage the energy demand from the Li-ion battery and the supercapacitor with the objective of maximizing the efficiency of these devices. Initial simulations and experimental testing show promising results.","PeriodicalId":312521,"journal":{"name":"2019 International Conference on Intelligent Systems and Advanced Computing Sciences (ISACS)","volume":"17 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131419445","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Nevertheless, the toughest challenge encountered in the catadioptric system is images geometry deformations. Nevertheless, these images have significant distortions that that bring us to take them into account during processing. In this paper, we propose an adapted tracking according to spherical coordinates over the 2D image. We present a novel content based omnidirectional image provided by the catadioptric system for object tracking model using a Spherical object tracking (SOT). Our statistical approach uses a new search algorithm called Ring Search (RSA), the Generalized Gaussian Distribution (GGD) as well as the Kullback-Leibler Distance (KLD). In SOT, we split images into several macro-blocks according to spherical coordinates, each macro-block are modelled by the GGD parameters. After that, we compute the similarity between the current bloc and the candidate one onto the search zone in the next frame. Experimental results in spherical space show that the SOT outperforms efficiently the adaptive Mean-Shift in visual tracking in term of Spatial Overlapping Estimation (SOE) and the ROC curve.","PeriodicalId":312521,"journal":{"name":"2019 International Conference on Intelligent Systems and Advanced Computing Sciences (ISACS)","volume":"2001 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128300749","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The experimental study based on the measurements of the reflectivity of a square mirror and the measurement collected by the AERONET network, the purpose is to identify the correlation between the aerosols extinction and the soiling rate. We compare the variation of the AOD with the measurements of the variation of the reflectivity of a square mirror obtained by our weather station, it installed at the roof of the department of geography in the University of Mohamed first Oujda. The different results indicate that large particles contribute most to the forcing of solar radiation, more precisely they are responsible for the extinction of these radiations. On the other hand, it is noted that for the whole of the monitored period does not present the reflectivity measurement results although still under the influence of the Aerosol optical thickness, it is particularly the period during summer period which fine particles were much higher than the other seasons. Moreover, the volume distribution of aerosol particles in suspension plays an important role in the variation of the reflectivity, the magnitude of their variations decreases during the winter and increases in summer, as well the important influence of the sedimentation of large particles of aerosol on the reflectivity on the summer period.","PeriodicalId":312521,"journal":{"name":"2019 International Conference on Intelligent Systems and Advanced Computing Sciences (ISACS)","volume":"21 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124611963","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The heterogeneity of those devices is a big challenge in terms of traffic heterogeneity and services requirements. Furthermore, for the network stability, several considerations must be taken into account in order to execute any task by any IoT node. More precisely, the nodes random tasks distribution leads to fail some nodes and also to reduce the network lifetime. A task can be composed at least of one subtask, which holds a collection of capabilities that must be verified to obtain a relevant service. In this contribution, an algorithm based on the Ant Colony Optimization (ACO) to address the IoT task allocation issues. We assume that each subtask has only one capability, and the goal is to distribute the task capabilities to the most competent nodes for reducing resource consumption of the network. The simulation result shows that our proposed algorithm is more efficient also adaptable in terms of the desired capabilities and the shortest path length.","PeriodicalId":312521,"journal":{"name":"2019 International Conference on Intelligent Systems and Advanced Computing Sciences (ISACS)","volume":"48 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133569576","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It must implement general concepts allowing the overcoming of traditional teaching paradigms. In this paper, we show the importance of use ontologies in the design of non-linear learning witch make connections between stuff we already knew and the stuff we didn't. This gives the learner the ability to actively construct the knowledge as he needed it. To provide a dynamic and effective learning environment, we show how to design and use different ontologies that models the different aspects of our e-learning. Finally, to validate our purposes, we present our application prototype to illustrate how these ontologies are used to drive the learning process.","PeriodicalId":312521,"journal":{"name":"2019 International Conference on Intelligent Systems and Advanced Computing Sciences (ISACS)","volume":"116 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127985249","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Several techniques have been proposed to minimize or to eliminate this disturbance. Amongst of which, subtraction digital holography consists of subtracting a randomly modified recording from the original one, while HRO or phase shifting methods use controlled images for subtraction. By applying a high-pass filter to the interference pattern, we have proved that zero order elimination in subtraction digital holography cannot be assimilated to a digital filtering process. Theoretical description of the three approaches, as well as corresponding experimental results are presented. To highlight the effectiveness of the methods, we have built a holographic set-up to observe time averaged interferograms of a vibrating membrane. Satisfactory results have been achieved.","PeriodicalId":312521,"journal":{"name":"2019 International Conference on Intelligent Systems and Advanced Computing Sciences (ISACS)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129555294","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
