Ontology-Based Model for a Linear Algebra Intelligent Tutoring System
The building of Intelligent Systems for Tutoring Math Education (ITSME) is a great challenge in knowledge representation [1]. It must implement general concepts allowing the overcoming of traditional teaching paradigms. In this paper, we show the importance of use ontologies in the design of non-linear learning witch make connections between stuff we already knew and the stuff we didn't. This gives the learner the ability to actively construct the knowledge as he needed it. To provide a dynamic and effective learning environment, we show how to design and use different ontologies that models the different aspects of our e-learning. Finally, to validate our purposes, we present our application prototype to illustrate how these ontologies are used to drive the learning process.
