The Vector autoregressive model's findings suggest that the unexpected changes in oil prices significantly influence household consumption expenditure in Nigeria. A one standard deviation unexpected for a change in oil prices corresponds to a 28.31 percent increase in Nigeria's consumption expenditure. Moreover, the decomposition of the variance did not affect the sign and significance of the household relationship between oil price volatility and consumption expenditure. The paper offers that the extent to which dependence on oil continues depends on the magnitude to which Nigeria's economies can continue developing alternative energy sources and improving energy conservation. To achieve the objective, this study collected a comprehensive dataset from 94 banks in Indonesia, covering both conventional and Islamic banks, during September 2015 - June 2019 period. The data is subsequently analysed by employing dynamic panel data model. The results show that the main factors that positively influenced banks’ stability in Indonesia are exchange rate, financial inclusion, asset returns, and credit/financing growth. However, interest rates are found to be negatively influenced the stability. The findings are expected to provide insights for policy makers and market players in ensuring that the banks’ stability could be well maintained in Indonesia. The results are also hoped to enrich literature in economics and banking, particularly in emerging markets like Indonesia. JEL Classification : G21. How to Cite: Kasri, R. A., & Azzahra, C. (2020). According to macroeconomic theory, aggregate demand is one of the factors that influence economic growth. This study aims to add the debate and fill the gap by studying the relationship between aggregate demand and economic growth in the case of Indonesia. Using an Auto-Regressive Distributed Lag analysis, the results indicate that in the long-run, household consumption and investment had a positive effect on Indonesia's national income in 2010-2019. It means that the government must continue to make policies to maintain the purchasing power of Indonesian consumers, so that public consumption remains high, and maintaining the investment climate to be more conducive. On the other hand, government expenditure and net exports variables have no impact on Indonesia's national income in 2010-2019. JEL Classification : E01, E12, O47 How to Cite: Astuti, P. In this research, wellbeing can approach with per capita expenditure. Empirically per capita expenditure has spatial relevance. This study aims to determine the relationship between employment indicators and the spending spatially in Central Java. The variables used are expenditure, labor force participation , labor productivity, minimum wage of regency/city , and the average length of the school . The analytical method used to determine the relationship is spatial panel regression with the Spatial Error Model fixed effect. The results obtained are labor force participation , labor productivity, minimum wage of regency/city , and the average length of the school , and spatial error dependencies have a significant positive effect on expenditure. Suggestions proposed are to increase employment through investments, especially in education, and to increase cooperation between regencies/cities in poverty alleviation efforts. Deprived children's basic needs, such as preschool education, protection, health, and nutrition, make it difficult for children to be free from poverty. This study aims to analyze the determinants of early childhood children aged 3-6 years old who suffer from absolute poverty in Java, Bali-Nusa Tenggara, and Maluku-Papua using logistic regression. The results showed that the majority of early childhood children in Java deprive in 1 dimension. However, in the other regions, the majority of them are deprived in 2 dimensions. The education level of both the household head and the mother and the residential area had a significant effect on the possibility of an absolute poverty early childhood children in all regions. However, there is no conclusive explanation of why and how central bank independence has succeeded in suppressing inflation. The purpose of this study is to examine the influence of financial development and institutional quality on the relationship between central bank independence and inflation. Using 20 Countries of Asia with institutional diversity, this study analyzed through a dynamic panel approach (GMM-Arellano and Bond Estimator). The result indicates that the inverse relationship between central bank independence and inflation depends on the development of the financial sector and also the institutional quality of each country. Recent economic crisis prompted the debate on how increased government spending induces sustainable economic growth in Nigeria. This paper examines the validity or otherwise of Wagner’s theory in Nigeria for the realisation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) from 1980 through 2017. Using time-series data on real gross domestic product, total government expenditure, money supply and domestic investment and adopting the two-step Engle and Granger estimation procedure, result shows that increased government spending significantly predicts variations in real gross domestic product and thus leaned empirical credence to Wagner’s hypothesis as an essential concept for the attainment of Sustainable Development Goals in Nigeria. Methods in this research were conducted in two phases, fixed effect and conditional logit. Results reveal that no evidence of households' transitory income affected children's education level, both for primary and senior secondary education. Meanwhile, compared to boys, girls have a higher probability of dropping out of school and have lower school enrollment rates in primary education. This paper indicated the existence of resource competition between the younger child and the older child for education, especially for senior secondary education. Whether or not the financial development affected the energy consumption directly is still unclear, depending on how the efficiency of economic development takes place. The present research tried to complete the slit by evaluating the indirect effects of financial development through economic growth.  The GMM method was applied to solve the endogenic problem of the simultaneous equation, resulting in an unbiased and consistent estimator. There was significant positive leverage of both the economic development and urbanization on the utilization of energy, while the cost of energy adversely affected its utilization. Also, there was a significant positive effect of financial growth in banking and share market on the utilization of energy, where the effect of the banking sector was stronger than that of the share market. The “common” existing literature mainly focused on the supply shock and its impact, leaving a large span of “China shocks” unexplained. Thus, this article undertake the important task to account for the dual track of “China shocks” and their impacts on a set of emerging economies, for which the evidence remains scanty. Using a global input-output method ology which highlights the job creation from exports and the job destruction aspect of imports, we provide evidence on the employment effect of bilateral trade with China. Our results suggest that considering the net effect of supply and demand related to China shocks mainly lead to negative job demand, and press the ringing bell for the government.
