Some divergent approaches have been attempted, which need further exploration.The aim of this research paper is to unfold the mysteries behind one of the most notable notions of our universe, as it lies hidden in the dark configuration of space, the void.The space which incubates patterns depictedin the form of a pyramidcan also nurse buriedvoid.The approach used in this investigation is based on mathematical illustrations, which led to conclude that void versus matter is a constant strain for balance, and has been ever since the first formation of the apex of a pyramid.The main findings of this paper are that the manifest states, as shown in the schematic diagrams depicting the shapeof the pyramid of Cheops, are in the form of balance between void and matter.The key conclusion is that there is a link between the graphical representation of the distributed building blocks in any horizontal layer of the pyramid of Cheops, and the general depiction of its form and angle derived from a geometric balance in the arrangement of its building blocks.","PeriodicalId":31081,"journal":{"name":"Lebanese Science Journal","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-08-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"48257380","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Monthly sampling conducted bydifferent techniques were performed in different seasons in order to estimatethe vineyard biocenose. Analysis of the data showedsignificant diversity of species of invertebrates including arthropods, especially insects. This fauna is composed of 7540 individuals, distributed over 13 orders, 29 families and 47 species. As for the seasonal evolution of the wine biocenose, it wasrelatively highand diversified during the spring, and composed mainly of phytophagous-opophages and predators.The prevalence and changes in abundance of different functional groups appeared to bedependent on the phenological changes that occuredin the plant from March until June.Thesynchronous presence of phytophagous-opophages with their predatorswas noted. Parasitoids were observed starting from the autumn period.As for the evolution of the functional groupswith the seasons, two groupswere revealed, the first was formed essentially throughphytophagous, predators and all opophages responding to aspring and summer season,and the second group of boringinsects; whereasparasitoids werereported after the autumn period and at the beginning of winter.","PeriodicalId":31081,"journal":{"name":"Lebanese Science Journal","volume":"184 5","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-08-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"41281506","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Results revealedecological zonation taking into account the taxonomic richness and the relative abundance of different zoological groups, and allowed distinguishing abundant, ubiquitous and permanent taxa as well as the existence of a spatiotemporal faunistic gradient. These preliminary results allowed highlightingtaxonomically the “upstream invertebrate fauna”, the “ubiquitous invertebrate fauna” and the “downstream invertebrate fauna”. Consequently, it appearedthat Plecoptera, Hemiptera, Coleoptera are characteristic to the upstream area during the whole year in most of the sampling sites, whereas Diptera, Oligochaeta and Hydracarina are more abundant in the downstream area but in less density in the middle stream. On the other hand, the longitudinal evolution approach was considered in order to evaluate the inter-site distribution. Internal audit fulfills a crucial role in an economy that is largely dependent on self-produced information. Indeed, internal audit ensures security of transactions within a bank and preserves its credibility for stakeholders. This article will discuss factors contributing to the evaluation of the effectiveness of internal audit in the specific context of Lebanese banks. Through quantitative analysis, the effectiveness of internal audit wasstudied based on the objectivity and competency of the internal auditor, planning the audit mission and interaction between the internal auditor and the external auditor. The design of this study appearedin the conceptual framework and empirical study on internal audit and its effectiveness in order to evoke elements contributing to the evaluation of internal audit effectiveness in a Lebanese bank.","PeriodicalId":31081,"journal":{"name":"Lebanese Science Journal","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-08-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"41638099","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

To overcome it, it will be necessary to ensure a rational exploitation of the aggregates available to the country by aevaluation of the existingresources. According to the statistics, the glass wastes accounted for 7% of the world’s solid wastes. The glass wastes can be used in concrete production in two forms: replacing part of aggregate or using as supplementary cementmaterial to replace cement. Using glass wastes to produce recycled aggregates for the production of new concrete reduces the consumption of natural resources as well as landfills.This work consists in formulating a micro-concrete with a substitution of 5 to 25% by weight of crushed calcareous aggregates of fraction 3/8 by glass aggregates of the same fraction 3/8. The incorporation of glass wastes as an aggregate in the micro-concrete plays a role of skeleton and improves its compressive mechanical strength.The compressive strength is considerably improved by substitution of crushed calcareous aggregates by recycled glass aggregates. The optimum has been reached for a value of around 46 MPa for a substitution of 10% of crushed limestone aggregates. The substitution of 10% crushed gravel by crushed glass allows improving the strength of more than 27%.The results obtained provedthat waste glass can be used as an aggregate for producing micro-concrete with a relatively high strength which will not deteriorate with time.","PeriodicalId":31081,"journal":{"name":"Lebanese Science Journal","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-08-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"45621895","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Profiles are determined using different commercial STR multiplex kits, which includeallelic ladders for the correct designation of alleles ofa given STR system. However, some new STR variants could be observed and their identification is essential for proper allele size calling in casework interpretation and cases of kinship matching or relationship testing. A total of 6392 samples were analyzedas part of the DNA work at our DNA testing facility from 2004 until 2016, where one hundred and twelvenew different STR variant alleles of 20STR loci wereobserved in the Lebanese population. Forty-fiveof these variant alleles were internationally reported in the STR-base whereas the remainingsixty-sevenalleles were observed for the first time. The loci included D3S1358, D19S433, D21S11, D13S317, TPOX, FGA, D7S820, D18S51, CSF1PO, D2S1338, D10S1248, D12S391, D22S1045, D2S441, Penta-D, Penta-E, SE33, D1S1656, vWA, and THO1.Also, four triallelic patterns were observed at D21S11, D12S391, D13S317 and Penta-D loci. Two-way ANOVA indicatedsignificant effects of \"salt stress\" and\"genotype\"on all the attributes of germination and seedlings growth. The principal component analysis indicated that the first and second components accounted for about 64.5% of the variation among the traits analyzed. The second component includedthe coleoptileslength,seedlingslength and vigor index, and accountedfor nearly 60% of the variation. This component representedthe ability of wheat seedlings to grow under salt stress conditions. The hierarchical cluster analysis classified the eight genotypes into two groups. Results obtained suggestedthat selection for high values of the traits such as\"coleoptileslength\", ‘seedlingslength’and \"seedsvigor\"didimprove salt tolerance of durum wheat.
