A three-dimensional model was developed using the finite difference software FLAC3D to simulate the construction process. The influence parameters, including geometric spatial position, shield construction parameters, and surrounding rock soil properties near the existing tunnel, were thoroughly examined. The degree of impact resulting from the oblique shield tunnel construction on existing tunnels was determined based on ground displacement, settlement of the existing tunnel, and changes in soil layers. The study summarizes the identified impact laws and investigates the interaction relationship between newly constructed shield tunnels, soil, and existing tunnels. The findings of this research provide a solid research foundation for ensuring the safety control of shield tunneling in proximity to existing tunnels.","PeriodicalId":30992,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Advanced Materials in Engineering","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135505440","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In order to make the course teaching closely related to engineering practice, enable students to flexibly use the methods and theories of engineering project management in engineering practice, and cultivate students' ability to solve practical engineering problems, the paper put forward some suggestions: firstly, the management of a complete \"engineering project\" is implemented on the basis of integrating the strengths of \"practical teaching\", \"simulation teaching\" and \"project teaching method\". Secondly, the course design is based on the carrier of \"sand table\" and adopts the method of \"simulation\" to fully experience the whole process practice of engineering project management. Thirdly, the curriculum design adopts the \"sandwich\" model simulation process design and the comprehensive teaching innovation idea of integrating diversified ideology and politics into the teaching reform, so as to effectively realize the combination of courses and competitions, form the practical training curriculum system with the unique style of engineering cost major, effectively improve students' innovative thinking ability, and achieve the purpose of cultivating students' comprehensive quality and ability.","PeriodicalId":30992,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Advanced Materials in Engineering","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"88096059","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Fungi, which cause molds in buildings, develop rapidly in humid places like Assam and can cause deadly diseases such as Histoplasmosis. Remedial measures for these molds are expensive and cumbersome. Bacteria can result in Sick Building Syndrome (SBS), which causes acute health problems in people living in these buildings. Bacteria mostly grow in the damp walls of hospitals and cause acute diseases in people, which is a worldwide problem in humid countries. Nanotechnology can be utilized to solve these problems to a great extent, providing relief to the world's population. Tests with Zinc Oxide (ZnO) Nanorods grown on prepared mortar samples using hydrothermal techniques revealed dense growth of Nanorods deep into the pores of the mortar samples on scanning electron micrographs. The rapid chloride migration (RCM) test is the most commonly used experimental method, typically employed to measure CIPC. To efficiently and accurately predict the CIPR of concrete, a Bayesian Optimization (BO)-Light Gradient Boosting Machine (LGBM) model is developed. Through this research, it can be concluded that (1) BO can effectively search and optimize the hyperparameters in LGBM. Within 100 iterations, BO optimization can search the hyperparameters effectively and find the optimal solution quickly.(2) BO-LGBM has a strong predictive ability, and its prediction accuracy is superior than the other three prediction models. The outcomes indicate that the application of this model has important practical significance for predicting the CIPC of concrete, optimizing the design of the concrete mix ratio and improving the durability of concrete.","PeriodicalId":30992,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Advanced Materials in Engineering","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135505439","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Differential thermal analysis (DTA) examination was adopted to find reaction temperature between milled Al, TiO 2 , and B 2 O 3 powders. X-Ray Diffraction (XRD) patterns showed the existence of TiB 2 and Al 2 O 3 peaks (750 °C at Ar atmosphere) in MM powder. Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) results revealed the uniform distribution of TiO 2 and B 2 O 3 particles in the aluminum matrix. 6 wt.% MM powder was added to molten Al7075 at 750 °C. The molten Al7075/TiB 2 -Al 2 O 3 composite was poured in copper mold. The stir casted composites were hot extruded at 465 °C with extrusion ratio of 6:1 and ram speed of 5 mm/s. The microstructures (optical microscopy and TEM) and mechanical properties (hardness and tensile testing) of samples were evaluated. TEM results showed that in-situ TiB 2 nanoparticles were formed. The tensile strength of extruded Al7075/TiB 2 -Al 2 O 3 composite was reached the value of 496 MPa. This result was around four times greater than that of the as cast Al7075 alloy.","PeriodicalId":30992,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Advanced Materials in Engineering","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"43698663","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
