Data fusion technology is one of the kernel parts in integrated navigation systems. In this paper, the current advances of this technology are introduced, with the architecture of a multi-sensor navigation system given and its principles and structure presented in detail. The emphasis is laid on the discussion of the algorithms of state estimation, track association and track fusion, on the basis of which the simulation results are given. With the selected road model, for the road without middle line, the road recognition algorithm is composed of two modules. The road boundaries detection module is used to get the information about road boundaries when vehicle just runs. Meanwhile the boundaries following module is started to predict the position of road edge when vehicle runs stably with the prediction knowledge. The road boundaries detection module amalgamates two kinds of information together and uses the adjacency of them in the space to get the exact information of road boundaries. Superconducting fault current limiters (SFCLs) can limit the prospective short-circuit currents to lower levels, so that the underrated switchgears can be operated safely. Due to its simple structure and lower price, the resistive type superconducting fault current limiter (RSFCL) is being used widely in practical experiences. Since RSFCLs are installed to provide high levels of power quality for customers with sensitive loads, it is necessary to investigate their harmonic generation. In this paper, harmonic generation of a RSFCL installed in a distribution system is investigated considering the current total harmonic distortion (THD). Then a method is presented for determining the optimum high temperature superconductor (HTS) volume considering its harmonics generation. It is concluded that the THD reduces as the HTS element volume decreases. Also, since decrease in HTS element volume leads to decrease in limiting behavior of the RSFCL, an optimization should be achieved between the limiting behavior and the current THD level. As such, the performance of this equipment operating in unprotected ac supply systems reflects the behavior of the SMPS to the voltage surges and sags that are endemic to power systems not protected by UPS. One purpose for this paper is to analyze the operation of SMPS during line voltage sags over and above merely observing the discharge of the dc link capacitor. A further purpose is to show that the tolerance of an SMPS to line-voltage sags can be improved by: (1) using a larger dc capacitor; (2) operating at less than the power rating; and (3) using power factor correction. Inrush current control circuits must be designed to operate effectively for line voltage sags of all predictable depths and time durations. Moreover, voltage disturbance plots of events do not indicate SMPS failures for each event outside the ITI limits. Benefits of these new power devices are now more clearly identified and applications were depicted where the use of these new components, in particular Schottky barrier diodes available from Infineon and Cree, can be a technical and commercial access. For a further market penetration, new generations of diodes as well as powerful switching devices are released recently resp. ready to commercialization. Especially upcoming markets for high voltage power devices offering not only high power densities, but energy saving as well push these developments. Supported by the improvements in base material quality and size, SiC power devices are believed to be on the hop to a next important step regarding its propagation in a broader range of applications. The encoder is implemented with SYNOPSYS Design Compiler and SMIC 0.18 um cell library. The result shows that our design costs less area than the prior work in (Tung-Chien Chen, 2005) and it can work at frequency up to 200 MHZ. We used the fuzzy clustering method to conduct discretization treatment of our data and applied the rough set theory to conduct attribute reduction so as to reduce the quantity of the input space dimensions of the SVM and further reduce the number of the sample. After that, we conducted training by using the least squares support vector machines (LS-SVM) and determined the optimal parameters of the LS-SVM by means of grid searching and cross validation. The proposed system utilizes intelligent module to add a degree of freedom to LMS291. A new method of synchronization between LMS291 and intelligent module was proposed. We added Visual C++ multi-media timer to the timestamp method, the purpose we use this method is to change the level resolution conveniently, and control the number of the points we acquired, because in some condition we need speedy scanning to rebuild the reconstructed image of the terrain quickly. And we use Matlab to reconstruct the 2D and 3D images. To repair the singular points we selected absolute mean value method. The popular slip mode frequency shift and auto phase shift active islanding detection methods are investigated and an improved slip mode frequency shift (IM-SMS) strategy is proposed in this paper. In the proposed method, additional phase shift is introduced to help stimulating the islanding detection function and the algorithm is simplified as well. When the utility grid is disconnected, the algorithm keeps the frequency of the converter output voltage deviating until the frequency protection relay is triggered. The working principle of the method is introduced and the guidance of parameters selection is also provided. The islanding detection performance is evaluated through theoretical analysis, digital simulation and experiment.
