El cuidado de enfermería tiene una connotación ética reflejada en los atributos que implica el ejercicio del deber, establecido principalmente en el Código de ética profesional, mientras la ética de la virtud apela al desarrollo de valores. Autoras como Gilligan, Noddigns y Tronto han aportado desde la ética del cuidado, como referentes ético-teóricos al ámbito de una enfermería feminizada. Objetivo. Describir la contribución de la Ética del cuidado a la enfermería profesional. Metodología. Reflexión de tipo teórica que pretende aumentar la comprensión del cuidado a partir de los marcos conceptuales y epistemológicos desarrollado por las autoras revisadas. Resultados y discusión. El manuscrito se organizó describiendo: a) los conceptos considerados clave en la Ética del cuidado, b) Gilligan y la Ética del cuidado, y finalmente, b) el aporte realizado por Tronto y Noddigns que han ampliado la discusión sobre el cuidado a nivel universal, aportando al cuidado informal como profesional. Conclusiones. La Ética del cuidado ha permitido desarrollar marcos conceptuales que facilitan la comprensión del cuidado de manera universal, dándole un estatus fundamental para la vida en sociedad. Barquero González, Luis Miguel Pascual Orts, Juan Diego González Sanz","doi":"10.22235/ech.v10i1.2300","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.22235/ech.v10i1.2300","url":null,"abstract":"Objective: To determine the prevalent stress factors among new students to the Faculties of Nursing at the Faculties of Nursing at the Universities of Cadiz, Cordoba, Huelva and Seville, and the influence of socio-demographic, academic, socio-economic, orientation and health factors. Design: A descriptive, observational and cross-sectional study. Methodology: 617 first year nursing students were surveyed (with a 95.66 % response rate) by means of two questionnaires, one for socio-demographics and health, the other for the stress perceived by new students. A descriptive analysis of the stress factors was then carried out for the frequency, mean and standard deviation. The relation between factors was examined through differential analysis by means of the Mann-Whitney U and Kruskal-Wallis non-parametric tests. Results: The situations of greatest anxiety among new undergraduates are “taking examinations” and “the amount of work I have to do”. Consequently, the most stressful factor is “academic stress” whilst the least stressful is “feelings of loneliness”. The students who feel most stress across various factors can be identified as: over 25, women, studying outside their home province, and living in rented accommodation during the academic year. Conclusions: Starting a degree in nursing is a stressful time, and students can find their health, quality of life and academic performance negatively affected. The main determinants of stress among new undergraduates are the joint demands of examinations and workload. Objetivo: analizar en la literatura científica publicada cómo se efectúa la comunicación entre el paciente adulto críticamente enfermo y profesionales de enfermería. Metodología: Revisión integrativa de diversas bases de datos. En el análisis crítico, 13 artículos cumplieron los criterios de inclusión. Como criterio de exclusión se consideraron los artículos desarrollados en usuarios pediátricos y otros servicios de hospitalización. Resultados: de la revisión surgieron tres temáticas, a) Métodos de comunicación paciente crítico-enfermero b) Percepción del paciente sobre la comunicación enfermero-paciente c) Factores limitantes en la comunicación enfermeropaciente crítico. Conclusiones: Se concluye que las actividades asistenciales de enfermería en estas unidades se centran casi en su totalidad en acciones biomédicas, relegando a un segundo plano aspectos emocionales. Sin embargo, no existen suficientes estudios nacionales ni internacionales que evidencian la vivencia de los padres en relación al cuidado recibido por sus hijos, debido a lo cual nace la inquietud de investigar la experiencia de un grupo de padres del sur de Chile respecto a los cuidados recibidos por parte del profesional enfermero durante la evolución de la enfermedad de sus hijos. El objetivo es develar vivencias de padres de niños con malformación labio palatina, con respecto a los cuidados de enfermería recibidos desde que el niño es diagnosticado hasta que es sometido al procedimiento quirúrgico, en el hospital Hernán Henríquez Aravena, durante el primer semestre de 2019. Es un estudio cualitativo con enfoque fenomenológico descriptivo, realizado a través de entrevistas en profundidad, notas de campo y grabaciones de audio. Respecto de los resultados, de las vivencias y narraciones de los padres surgen categorías y subcategorías que permiten analizar más claramente la investigación. Estas categorías son: emociones negativas vividas, experiencia con los cuidados en salud y expectativas de cuidados de enfermería. Se concluye que los padres perciben una permanente invisibilidad de enfermería, confundiendo muchas veces su atención con la proporcionada por técnicos y/u otros profesionales de la salud. Population aging and the increase in multimorbidities have increased the dependence of the elderly and, therefore, the demand for informal caregivers. European countries have faced these transitions for years so they have innovative strategies for the care of both subjects; However, in Latin America this panorama is still in development. The philosophy of Jean Watson proposes avant-garde ideas to achieve the humanization of nursing care, among which the capacity of transcendence of the spirit is highlighted, depending on its strength. Objective: To identify the areas of opportunity that can propitiate the spiritual importance of informal caregivers towards the elderly in their care, taking into account the basic premises of Jean Watson's philosophy and considering only bibliography with Ibero-American population. Methods: Integrative review of the literature; Articles were selected that addressed the spirituality of informal caregivers of the elderly, even if it is not the central theme, developed in the Spanish and Portuguese-speaking population between 2010 and 2019 in English, Spanish and Portuguese in the PubMed, BVS, Cochrane, Lilacs, Scielo, CUIDEN and EBSCO host databases. Results: Six research articles were selected from the PubMed and BVS databases. In all cases a strong spiritual attachment is observed by informal caregivers; one of the most recurrent religious practices of them is prayer as a form of communication and feeling close to higher power followed by frequent participation in religious services and events. Discussion: According to Jean Watson's philosophy, intense human relationships produce a link between the spirit of the participants, a link through which the reflection of one's own spirit is possible in that of the other person. The data analyzed here was extracted from a database of the emergency-calls made to reach out the of the regional medical-emergency regulation center and the mobile emergency-care system over the year of 2013 at the city of Jequié, Brazil. The absolute and relative frequencies were calculated for the variables evaluated. the regional medical-emergency regulation center received 3,505 calls and 2,066 ambulance units were sent out. Hypertensive crisis, chronic pain, neurological and dyspnoea issues have prevailed among other diagnosis.
