Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif dengan metode survei. Purposive sampling digunakan sebagai teknik pengambilan sampel. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa dan guru SD dari Kabupaten Kuningan dan Kabupaten Purwakarta di Jawa Barat, serta dari Kabupaten Kendal dan Kota Surakarta di Jawa Tengah. Kuesioner yang berisi 30 item pernyataan yang dikembangkan oleh peneliti dalam konsultasi dengan dosen, guru, dan kepala sekolah yang didasarkan pada literatur yang relevan digunakan sebagai instrumen dalam penelitian ini. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa memahami tingkat NOS pada kriteria Cukup dengan skor 65 sedangkan guru pada kriteria Baik dengan skor 72. Temuan dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa rentang skor pemahaman NOS guru tidak selalu memiliki efek positif pada pemahaman NOS siswa. Akhirnya, penelitian ini merekomendasikan bahwa guru harus memahami NOS dan pembelajaran reflektif eksplisit, dan bagaimana mengajarkan NOS dengan pembelajaran reflektif eksplisit. Understanding of the nature of science (NOS) by elementary school students and teachers AbstractThe purpose of this study was to identify the understanding level of elementary students and teachers of the nature of science (NOS). This type of research was a descriptive study with a survey method. Purposive sampling was used as a sampling technique. Sample in this study were students and teachers from Kuningan Regency and Purwakarta Regency in West Java, and from Kendal Regency and Surakarta City in Central Java. A questionnaire containing 30 items of statements developed by researchers in consultation with lecturers, teachers, and principals which based on the relevant literature was used as an instrument in this research. The results showed that the students understanding levels of NOS at the Immediate criteria with a score of 65 while the teacher on the Good criteria with a score of 72. Findings from this study indicate that the range of teachers NOS understanding scores did not always have a positive effect on students NOS understanding. Prosedur penelitian pengembangan diadaptasi dari pengembangan ADDIE, terdiri dari lima tahap: analisis, desain, pengembangan, penerapan, dan evaluasi. Validasi produk dilakukan oleh ahli media dan ahli materi. Penilaian produk dilakukan oleh 5 guru kimia, 20 siswa untuk uji coba kelompok kecil, dan 56 siswa untuk uji coba lapangan. Evaluasi uji lapangan dilakukan untuk menentukan pengaruh media pembelajaran berbasis android terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah kimia. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini meliputi kuisioner penilaian media dan soal tes. Kuisioner penilaian diberikan kepada ahli media, ahli materi, guru, dan siswa. Soal tes diberikan kepada siswa setelah proses pembelajaran selesai. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media pembelajaran berbasis android yang dikembangkan dapat meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah kimia siswa SMA. Learning with android application to improve chemical problem-solving ability Abstract This research aimed to produce an Android-based learning media and to identify improvement in students' chemistry problem-solving ability. The development research procedure were adapted from the ADDIE development, consist of five phases: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. Product validations were conducted by media experts and material experts. The product assessment were conducted by five chemistry teachers and 20 students for small group trials. The product evaluations were conducted by 56 students for field trials. Field test evaluations were carried out to determine the effect of android-based learning media on the ability to solve chemical problems. The instruments used in this study include media assessment questionnaires and test questions. Assessment questionnaires are given to media experts, material experts, teachers, and students. Test questions are given to students after the learning process is complete. Fenomena pembelajaran kimia yang ditemukan hampir selalu terfokus pada tingkat makroskopik berupa rumus dan angka, sedangkan tingkat yang sering luput dari pengematan adalah tingkat mikroskopik dan simbolik seperti penyajian diagram dan proses reaksi kimia.Salah satu sifat dari ilmu kimia adalah cenderung bersifat abstrak dan kompleks, seperti proses terjadinya reaksi elektrolisis dimana terjadi pergerakan partikel yang tidak dapat diamati oleh mata sehingga sering terjadi miskonsepsi dalam memahami konsep kimia. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada mahasiswa semester satu sebanyak 40 orang di prodi Farmasi Universitas Muhammadiyah Prof. DR. Hamka. Sampel penelitian ini diambil secara purposive random sampling dengan kuisioner. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh hasil pemahaman mahasiswa pada konsep elektrokimia dilihat dari level makroskopis sebesar 72,75% kategori baik, level mikroskopis sebesar 66,25% kategori baik dan simbolik adalah 70% kategori baik. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran dengan aspek makroskopis, mikroskopis, simbolik dapat menanamkan konsep secara utuh. AbstractThis research aims to find out the students’ comprehension from the macroscopic, microscopic, and symbolic aspects of the concept. The phenomenon of chemistry learning that is found almost focused on the macroscopic level in the form of formulas and numbers, while the level that often missed in some observation is microscopic and symbolic levels; such as diagramming and chemical reaction processes. One of the characteristics of chemistry tends to be abstract and complex, as the process of electrolysis reaction in which the particle movement can’t be observed so that misconceptions often occur in understanding chemical concepts. This research was conducted on 40 first-semester students in the Department of Pharmacy, University of Muhammadiyah Prof. DR. Hamka. The research sample was taken by purposive random sampling with a questionnaire. Based on the result, the students’ comprehension of the electrochemistry concept have 72,75% good category in macroscopic level, 66,25% good category in microscopic level, and 70% good category in symbolic. Jenis penelitian ini adalah pengembangan dengan mengadaptasi model 4D yaitu define, design, develop, dan disseminate. Penelitian dilakukan pada satu kelas eksperimen dan satu kelas kontrol. Kelas eksperimen adalah kelas yang menggunakan bahan ajar modul potensi lokal berbasis SETS dalam proses pembelajaran, sedangkan kelas control adalah kelas yang menggunakan bahan ajar umum yang biasa digunakan sekolah. Instrumen penilaian keterampilan proses sains menggunakan soal pretest dan posttest yang diberikan pada peserta didik sebelum dan setelah proses pembelajaran. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa soal keterampilan proses sains yang diberikan sebelum dan setelah proses pembelajaran. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis untuk memperoleh nilai gain skor. Berdasarkan analisis keterampilan proses sains kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi yaitu sebesar 0,45 sedangkan kelas control sebesar 0,29. Hasil validasi modul potensi lokal berbasis SETS dilakukan oleh dosen ahli yaitu ahli materi dan ahli media. Hasil kelayakan yang diperoleh dari ahli materi dan ahli media mencapai kategori sangat baik. This research is a quasi-experimental study with one group pretest-posttest design in 25 physics education students of FPMIPA IKIP Mataram. Descriptive and statistical analysis using the n-gain equation and paired samples test was conducted to evaluate the validity and effectiveness of the product. Product validity was assessed by two competent experts using validation sheets and analyzed descriptively, while product effectiveness was measured after learning using essay test instruments that were analyzed descriptively and statistically using paired samples test. The results showed that the reflective-integrative basic physics textbook prototype based on problem-solving was valid (3.38) and reliable (0.97), while declarative knowledge (n-gain = 0.58), procedural knowledge (n-gain = 0.53), and conditional knowledge (n-gain = 0.56) was increased after learning in the medium category. Statistical test results showed that the reflective-integrative basic physics textbook prototype based on problem-solving had a significant effect (p <0.05) on the students' metacognition knowledge. Hal ini menyebabkan mahasiswa terlihat tidak siap dalam melakukan penyelidikan yang berdampak pada rendahnya kemampuan menulis laporan praktikum. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat pengaruh implementasi metode presentasi pada tahap pra-laboratorium terhadap skor laporan praktikum dan sikap terhadap kimia. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah posttest control group design yang terdiri atas kelas kontrol dan kelas eksperimen. Jumlah total responden yang terlibat sebanyak 67 mahasiswa dimana sebanyak 33 mahasiswa berada di kelas kontrol dan 34 mahasiswa di kelas eksperimen. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah rubrik penilaian laporan praktikum dan kuesioner sikap mahasiswa terhadap kimia. Komponen laporan praktikum yang diukur adalah abstrak, sumber informasi, organisasi, relevansi, konten, dan presentasi. Kategori sikap terhadap kimia yang digunakan adalah sikap terhadap materi kimia, sikap terhadap praktikum kimia, kepercayaan terhadap belajar kimia, dan kecenderungan sikap untuk belajar kimia. Pengaruh implementasi metode presentasi pada tahap pra-laboratorium terhadap skor laporan praktikum dan skor sikap terhadap kimia dianalisis menggunakan MANOVA. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa implementasi metode presentasi pada tahap pra-laboratorium memberikan pengaruh yang positif terhadap skor laporan praktikum dan sikap terhadap kimia. Semua komponen laporan dan kategori sikap pada kelas eksperimen memberikan skor yang lebih tinggi dibandingkan kelas kontrol. This research was performed in SMA Negeri 2 Bantul. The biology learning through the utilization of this android-based learning media has a characteristic which utilizes technology in learning, therefore, it could be used by anyone, anywhere, and anytime. The method used in this development research was based on the adaptation of ADDIE development model which consists of five stages, namely analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The initial product has been reviewed by the material and media experts. Then, the result of revision was assessed based on materials, operationalization, and the media display conducted by reviewers (biology teacher) and peer reviewers. Then, it tested on high school students to discover the feasibility of android-based learning media. Produk dikembangkan dengan menggunakan model Akker yang terdiri dari 3 tahap: analis, desain, dan evaluasi dan revisi. Evaluasi dilakukan dengan menggunakan model evaluasi formatif Tessmer yang terdiri dari lima tahap: self evaluation, expert review, one-to-one evaluation, small group evaluation dan field test. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Development Research.Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada tahap expert review diperoleh nilai dari ahli desain 4,1 dengan kategori valid, nilai dari ahli materi 4,04 dengan kategori valid dan ahli media 4,80 dengan kategori sangat valid. Uji coba pada tahap one-to-one evaluation dan pada tahap small group diperoleh rata-rata 4,26 dan 4,45 dengan kategori sangat praktis. Hasil belajar peserta didik meningkat secara rerata dari 41,56 menjadi 76,71. Uji lapangan memberikan N-gain sebesar 0,59 yang menunjukkan bahwa produk memiliki keefektifan sedang dalam proses pembelajaran. Minat belajar peserta didik meningkat dari 2,4 menjadi 3,45 dengan kategori sangat baik. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan menggunakan model pengembangan 4D dengan tahap define, design, develop, dan disseminate. Penelitian ini menggunakan pretest posttest control group design. Penilaian kelayakan web-LKPD IPA dilakukan oleh ahli materi dan ahli media untuk mengetahui kelayakan produk, penilaian kepraktisan oleh guru IPA, serta respon peserta didik untuk mengetahui keterbacaan produk. Hasil penilaian kelayakan oleh ahli materi, media, guru IPA memperoleh skor sebesar 62, 38, dan 56 terhadap skor maksimal masing-masing sebesar 48, 35, dan 45 sehingga tergolong pada kategori sangat baik. Uji keterbacaan memperoleh persentase sebesar 93% respon positif dari peserta didik. Hasil skor gain ternormalisasi mendapat skor sebesar 0.36 pada kelas eksperimen dan tergolong pada kategori sedang dan terdapat peningkatan dalam pembelajaran. Efektivitas pembelajaran dilakukan dengan uji independent sample t test dengan nilai sig. sebesar 0.000 (> 0.05). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran dengan web-LKPD IPA terintegrasi potensi lokal efektif (sig. 0.00 < 0.05) meningkatkan rasa ingin tahu peserta didik SMP Negeri 1 Jombang. Integrated worksheet web of nature history students on the local potentials of “pabrik gula” for increasing the students' curiosity AbstractThis study aims to determine the feasibility and effectiveness of the science web student worksheet integrated local potency “pabrik gula”. This research is a development research using the 4D development model with the stages of define, design, develop, and disseminate. Assessment of the feasibility of science web student worksheet is carried out by material expert and media expert, the assessment by science teachers, and the responses of students to know the readability of the product. The results of the feasibility assessment by material, media expert, and science teachers scored 62, 38, and 56 for a maximum score of 48, 35, and 45 which were categorized as very good. Readability test obtained a percentage of 93% positive response from students. The normalized gain score results in a score of 0.36 in the experimental class and belongs to the medium category and there is an increase in learning. The effectiveness of learning is done by testing the independent sample t test with the sig .value amounting to 0,00 (more than 0.05). Because practical work is an essential component of science courses, there were need to develop new instruments to examine practicum skill. To gain the purpose, Research and Development method used, Borg and Gall's model was adopted in this research. Observation sheets were used to obtain data. The qualitative data analysis technique was used to make coding. The data were described using descriptive statistics. It was used to determine the ability of students to practice in general, purposive sampling technique used for data collection. Products of practical’s skills assessment contain four aspects, fifteen indicators, and four criteria. The product was validated by two expert judges, shortcomings and grammatical mistakes were revised. In the separation of trimyristin, mostly student practicum skill was \"good\" while few students’ skills were \"very good\" and few other students earned “sufficient” none of them got “poor” and “very poor”. In each aspect of practicum skills “very good” in drawing, experimental and observations skills were “good” while reporting and interpretive skills were “sufficient”.
