The samples used were stocks included in the Kompas 100 index. Data were analyzed using an event study non-parametric statistical approach to Corrado rank test, Wilcoxon Sign Rank test, and statistically parametric paired sample t-test using Microsoft Excel and SPSS version 26 applications. The results of the study show that the announcement of the first Covid-19 patient did not have a significant impact on the average abnormal stock return in all business sectors. However, on the fifth day after the event, there was a significant negative abnormal return in all sectors other than the technology sector. The cyclical consumer sector and the non-cyclical consumer sector were the most affected with a negative average abnormal return. The non-cyclical consumer sector also experienced an increase in net foreign sell. Furthermore, these two sectors experienced a good recovery at the time of the announcement of the implementation of the new normal policy in terms of increasing the average transaction volume in the cyclical consumer sector, and in terms of increasing market capitalization in the noncyclical consumer sector. The technology sector was the only sector that was not significantly affected on the fifth day after the announcement of the first Covid-19 patient.","PeriodicalId":30801,"journal":{"name":"Business Excellence and Management","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"44282838","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of the product strategy on consumers’ brand switching intention behaviour. A marketing orientation of managing a product from a holistic approach was adopted and that was informed by previous theoretical modelling. The study followed a quantitative approach in the cola industry in Zimbabwe. Data was collected using questionnaires from a sample size of 432 respondents. Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) - Amos Graphics was used to analyse data. The study confirmed that a holistic approach to product strategy is statistically significant in minimising churning behaviour of customers. Product availability and product quality were inversely influencing behavioural intention to switch brands whilst product price recorded a significant positive impact. Product range had an insignificant association with consumer attrition. The study concluded that consumers’ switching behaviour can be managed through a well implemented product strategy. To plummet brand switching behaviour, the study recommends effective product pricing, effective product distribution and improvements in product quality.","PeriodicalId":30801,"journal":{"name":"Business Excellence and Management","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-09-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"46026553","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

With this in mind, this paper investigates the performance of food retailers in Serbia based on the ELECTRE method. The goal and purpose of researching the efficiency problems of leading food retailers using the ELECTRE method is to see as realistically as possible their position on the food market in Serbia in order to improve in the future by more efficient control of critical factors and implementation of relevant measures. In addition to the challenges, topicality, significance and complexity, the reasons for researching the given problem in this paper are reflected in that. In addition, by applying the ELECTRE method, more realistic results are obtained in relation to the ratio analysis, especially in combination with other methods of multicriteria analysis (TOPSIS, AHP, ARAS and others). The results of the research show that Delhaize Serbia is the best company in terms of performance. This is the result of Delhaize Serbia's good position in the retail market in Serbia. It applies new business models (private label, sales of organic products, multi-channel sales - stores and electronic). It applies modern concepts of cost management, sales, assets, capital, customers, product categories and profit. In addition to all that, the digitalization of the entire business is at a high level. These and other factors have positively influenced its good positioning on the retail food market in Serbia.","PeriodicalId":30801,"journal":{"name":"Business Excellence and Management","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-09-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"46867738","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Governance is rooted and established based on the collaboration and coordination among nation’s governments, organizations, and people. The sluggishness in setting such governance goals as well as the incapability of many governments, like the Lebanese one, to develop and execute adequate legislative and institutional initiatives coupled with the absence of corporate governance knowledge, given that organizations remain connected to their elderly conventional method to manage their businesses that are based on nepotism, corruption legislation, and sectarian distribution, represent a crucial challenge for any reform and good governance endeavor. This paper aims to approach the need for Lebanon to reconsider new governance strategy and organizational and institutional reforms, especially, in conjunction with the severe economic crisis facing the country, the explosion of the port of Beirut on August 4, 2020, and the awaiting implementation of CEDRE project. The analysis revealed that moving to a new perspective in a complicated social and political environment, like Lebanon, involves multiple aspects. As a result, an in-depth implementation of a New Lebanese Public Governance in Lebanon along with political stabilization must lead to a progressive structural administrative reform and change which will also contribute to boosting confidence with the international community and speed up the international financial donation and support that will help Lebanon to heal its wounds and rise again. The defiance is to figure out if this could be another lost opportunity.","PeriodicalId":30801,"journal":{"name":"Business Excellence and Management","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-09-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"43298176","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

That is why public universities are interested in the expected tuition fees of students so that they can change their policies accordingly in allocating available resources. Enhance its competitive position with universities with similar tuition fees. This competition contributes to improving the quality of the whole higher education system. The study identifies the factors affecting the tuition policies in public higher education through the quantitative research method by analyzing questionnaires collected from 250 students from 6 public universities in Vietnam. The results show that the factors affecting tuition fees of public higher education in Vietnam are: (1) Lecturers (L), (2) Curriculums (Cr), (3) Student skills (Ss), (4) Teaching methods (Tm), (5) Facilities (F), (6) Curriculums content (Cc), (7) Course structure (Cs). Based on research results, the study also proposes solutions to improve tuition policies to support learners at public universities in Vietnam.","PeriodicalId":30801,"journal":{"name":"Business Excellence and Management","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-09-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"43042112","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

For this study, a correlation research design was used. All fifty-two (52) financial firms listed on the Nigerian Stock Exchange as of April 2020 make up the study's population. A total of 44 financial firms listed on the Nigeria Stock Exchange were sampled using a judgemental sampling process. Secondary data for measuring internet financial reporting transparency was extracted from the investor relations sections of each sample firm's corporate website, while secondary data for measuring audit committee capabilities came from the non-financial information section of the sampled firms' annual reports for a five-year period spanning the 2014 to 2018 financial years. The researchers used a pool of ordinary linear regressions to analyse the results. The validity of statistical inferences was tested using a diagnostic test. The study's results reveal that audit committee operation and competency have a significant positive relationship with internet financial reporting. Meanwhile, there is no connection between audit committee independence and audit committee size and internet financial reporting. As a result, the study suggests that regulators allow businesses to disclose financial details through their websites. A series of lectures or workshops should be held to inform the board and management about how the implementation of internet financial reporting will draw in more shareholders, increase transparency, and save money, according to the analysis. This study is restricted to only listed financial firms in Nigeria. Therefore, the findings of this study cannot be generalised. Because this study is limited to listed financial firms in Nigeria, future research can be expanded to other business sectors.","PeriodicalId":30801,"journal":{"name":"Business Excellence and Management","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-09-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"41464941","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The objectives proposed for this research are to identify the main concerns of entrepreneurs regarding cybersecurity and to determine the main causes of cybersecurity risks in micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). To determine the main causes that lead to the emergence of existing cybersecurity risks in SMEs, the authors conducted primary research, using the survey method through an online questionnaire. Among the research results it can be mentioned the need to strengthen the defense structure against cyberattacks for SMEs. The authors highlighted the issues related to the low level of preparation that entrepreneurs have regarding cyber threats because in a dynamic environment, such as cyberspace, the most vulnerable companies are those that do not invest in the cybersecurity structure.","PeriodicalId":30801,"journal":{"name":"Business Excellence and Management","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-12-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"42723066","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
