At the moment, to the knowledge of the authors, a reference functional architecture to manage business decisions and business logic does not yet exist. A field that focuses specifically on the management of these business decisions and business logic is Business Rules Management (BRM). The goal of this study is to follow-up on an earlier study and analyze functional requirements from seven Dutch governmental institutions with regards to the Verification, Validation, Deployment, and Execution BRM capabilities. To do so, three thematic coding rounds to analyze 157 functional requirements are conducted, which resulted in 18 functional categories that are mapped to the four BRM capabilities within the scope of this study. This research is based on the binomial model, but it is much more complicated and realistic than the binomial model because it contains the situation that the stock price does not change. In this work, how asset option pricing is made, the time when the trinomial model can be replicated, the value of probabilities for the increased, unchanged, and decreased strike respectively, the maximum and minimum price in the trinomial model, and the option pricing formula are discussed.
