Perkembangan tersebut terdapat pada proses kreativitas dalam penciptaan karya seni karawitan, hal itu dapat dilihat dari unsur musik dalam seni karawitan. Dalam seni karawitan sangat penting dalam proses penciptaan karya seni yang kuat untuk sebuah pembaharuan terhadap tradisi sehingga bisa dikatakan sebagai musik kreasi. Penata tertarik menganggkat sebuah tempat suci di Pantai Sari Kuta tepatnya di Pura Tirtha Campuhan yang memiliki keunikan. Keunikan tersebut adalah fenomena alam tentang aliran sungai yang di dalamnya terdapat campuran dari dua aliran sungai dengan air laut sehingga terbentuk sungai baru yang bernama sungai campuhan. Sesuai dengan namanya Pura Tirtha Campuhan memiliki campuran aliran sungai dari muara sungai mati (tukad mati, tukad ening) dan sungai yang berada di Badung, sehingga aliran sungai di Pura tersebut membentuk sebuah aliran sungai baru (peteluan tukad, tukad mati, tukad ening). Selain terjadinya campuran dari aliran sungai, masyarakat juga memanfaatkan dan menggunakan air sungai ini sebagai tirtha untuk pengelukatan atau pembersihan dan juga digunakan sebagai obat. Dari cerita tersebut akhirnya penata menemukan ide untuk menjadikan Tirtha Campuhan sebagai sumber inspirasi. Penata merealisasikannya ke dalam bentuk garapan komposisi musik kreasi dengan menggunakan media ungkap Smar Pagulingan. Dalam media ungkap Smar Pagulingan penata mengaplikasikan tirtha dan campuhan atau campuran dalam membuat tirtha tersebut dengan menggabungkan beberapa patet dalam gamelan Smar Pagulingan. Hal tersebut sesuai dengan tujuan penata yang membangun suasana harmonis dalam olahan melodi menggunakan pencampuran patet.Tirtha Campuhan: A New Composition Work by Using Semar Pagulingan Gamelan as Media. In Karawitan, the process of creating works of art is essential to produce a renewal of tradition so that the process of creating these works of art can be said to be musical creation. For creating the musical creation, the author was inspired by the uniqueness of the holy place in Pata Sari Kuta precisely in Tirtha Campuhan Temple, which was used as the idea of creation. The uniqueness in Tirtha Campuhan Temple is a natural phenomenon of river flow in which there is a mixture of two river streams with seawater to form a new river called Campuhan river. As the name implies, Tirtha Campuhan Temple has a mixture of river flow from dead river mouths (tukad mati, tukad ening) and rivers in Badung, so that the river flow in the temple forms a new river flow (tukad pateluan, tukad mati, and tukad ening). The local community often uses the river water in the temple as tirtha for pengelukatan or cleaning and also used as medicine. Since their birth, they have been surrounded by sophisticated technology. This generation always gets information quickly and limitless. They are very familiar with the internet and applications on smartphones. The most familiar application is generally based on Android. Android must also be used in the world of education. Android applications can be realized as a tool to deliver learning or supervision of learning. Supervision of learning in this development is limited to material comptetion. This development was developed from a paper-based initial device. The device focuses on students' practical skills in music. For this purpose, peer tutoring forms in drill supervision are very necessary. This study used a Research and Development method modified from Borg and Gall in 10 steps. The steps used are research and information collecting, planning, develop preliminary form of product, preliminary field testing, main product revision, main field testing, operational product revision, operational field testing, final product revision, dissemination and implementation. The first score validation were 65,25% from the IT validator, 70,50% from the media validator, and 75,25% from the material validator. The mean values in the small group trials were 70.50 and 78.25 in the large group trials. The final score from validation were 92,50% form the IT validation, 77,25% from the media validator, and 84,75% from the material validator. There are three applications that must be developed as recommendations from the results of this research. These three applications are: main teacher applications, admin applications, and student applications. Metode penelitian menggunakan kualitatif deskriptif dengan desain penelitian studi kasus interpretatif. Data penelitian dikumpulkan dengan teknik observasi, wawancara, dan studi dokumen. Serta menggunakan teknik triangulasi sumber dan data untuk menjaga validitasnya. Sedangkan teknik analisis data dilakukan melaui proses reduksi, penyajian, dan penarikan simpulan (verifikasi). Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan, musik senggayung merupakan musik yang mencerminkan identitas budaya masyarakat desa Gerai Kabupaten Ketapang. Musik senggayung hanya ada di daerah gerai, musik unik yang tidak dimiliki daerah lain. Jika dilihat dari organologinya, senggayung tergolong kedalam alat musik idiophone yang terbuat dari bambu. Yang membuat menarik, penggunaan alat musik senggayung hanya bisa untuk sekali pakai pada satu upacara, tidak bisa digunakan lagi untuk upacara lainnya jika jarak waktu upacara lebih dari 3-4 hari. Hal ini berkaitan dengan timbre yang dihasilkan oleh bambu. Musik senggayung biasa digunakan untuk mengiringi proses upacara-upacara masyarakat desa Gerai. Beberapa faktor-faktor pembentuk identitas budaya yaitu (1) kepercayaan, (2) bahasa, (3) pola prilaku, sudah tercermin dalam senggayung.This study aims to analyze the shape of senggayung music that reflects the cultural identity of the village community of Ketapang regency. The research method used qualitative descriptive with interpretative case study research design. The data were collected by observation, interview, and document study. As well as using triangulation techniques of sources and data to maintain its validity. While the data analysis technique is done through the process of reduction, presentation, and withdrawal of conclusion (verification). The results of this study indicate, senggayung music is a music that reflects the cultural identity of the village community of Ketapang regency. Senggayung music only exist in the area of outlets, unique music that is not owned by other regions. When viewed from the organology, senggayung belong to idiophone musical instruments made of bamboo. What makes it interesting, the use of senggayung musical instruments can only be for one use at a ceremony, can not be used anymore for other ceremonies if the distance of ceremony time more than 3-4 days. This is related to the timbre produced by bamboo. Senggayung music is used to accompany the process of ceremonies of Gerai village community. Pandangan ini diperoleh karena hampir setiap wilayah di Jawa Timur menggunakan gending ini sebagai identitas musikal mereka. Indikasinya, nama gending Jula-juli senantiasa diikuti oleh nama wilayah di Jawa Timur, semisal Jula-juli Surabayan, Pandalungan, Jombangan, Malangan, dan lain sebagainya. Uniknya, walaupun gending ini memiliki kerangka musikal yang sama, namun mampu memunculkan kesan, karakter, nuansa dan suasana yang berbeda antar satu daerah dengan yang lain. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap hubungan yang dibangun antara Jula-juli Pandalungan  dan Surabayan sebagai fakta musikal dengan dimensi pengalaman pelakunya sebagai fakta kultural. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan estetik dan sosiologi musik. Berdasarkan penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa  Jula-juli Pandalungan adalah representasi dari masyarakat keturunan Jawa-Madura dalam upaya menjadi Jawa sejati, sementara Jula-juli Surabayan adalah pengkultusan dari karakter budaya kota. Keduanya dapat menyatu sebagai entitas musikal dalam pertunjukan dan menjadi wacana perlawanan antara dominasi Jawa dan masyarakat pendatang. Jula-Juli Pandalungan and Surabayan: The Expression of Javanese-Madurese and Javanese Urban Culture. Jula-juli is considered as one of gending (traditional music) pieces in East Java which is able to reflect its musical characteristic of Jawatimuran society. This opinion gained by the fact that almost every region in East Java uses this gending as their musical identity. The indication points out the name of Jula-juli gending which is followed by the name of region of East Java, for instances Jula-juli Surabayan, Pandalungan, Jombangan, Malangan, etc. Although the unique thing of this gending has samilar musical frame among those regions, but it is capable to emerge such as sense, character, nuance, and different atmosphere among the regions. This research is aimed to reveal the relation which is built between Jula-juli Pandalungan and Surabayan as the musical fact to the dimension of the experiences owned by the subjects as the cultural fact. This research applies approaches of estetic and of sociological of music. The result of the research shows that Jula-juli Pandalungan is the representation of the society of Javanese-Madurese generation for the effort as being the true Javanese, meanwhile Jula-juli Surabayan is the form of cult from the character of urban culture. Ada kepercayaan bahwa kematian tidak pernah memisahkan manusia secara total, hal ini terungkap lewat ritual yang dilakukan saat anggota keluarga meninggal, konteks kematian dalam masyarakat Batak Toba adalah adat istiadat mereka. Salah satu ritual adat kematian adalah kebiasaan mangandungi jenazah.Mangandung adalah salah satu ritual kematian yang berasal dari kata andung yang artinya ratap. Kebiasaan mangandungi pada masyarakat Batak Toba berkembang menjadi kesenian yang dikenal dengan tradisi nyanyian andung. Tradisi mangandung dianggap sebagai bagian dari adat dan tergolong penting sebagai bentuk ekspresi kesedihan dengan kata kata dan irama tertentu. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode etnografi.The Cosmology of Tetabuhan in Ngaben Ritual Ceremony. According to the Batak Toba community belief death is not a totality but a partial separation. There is a belief that death never separates humanity totally, it is revealed through the ritual performed when family members died, the context of death in Batak Toba society is their custom. One of the customary rituals of death is the habit of mangandungi bodies. Mangandung is one of the rituals of death that comes from the word that means grandmother wailed.The habit of mangandungi in Toba Batak society developed into an art known as the singing andung tradition. Tradition mangandung is considered as part of custom and is important as a form of expression of sadness with certain words and rhythms. Pendidikan Dasar tingkat Sekolah Dasar pada kurikulum 2013 edisi revisi 2016 pembelajarannya diubah dalam bentuk pembelajaran tematik namun demikian  musik tetap digunakan sebagai alat pendidikan. Untuk tingkatan Sekolah Menengah Pertama tetap menggunakan nama mata pelajaran seni budaya yang di dalamnya tercakup materi musik.Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana kebutuhan dan pengembangan materi ajar seni budaya sub materi musik untuk Pendidikan Dasar SD dan SMP.  Metode penelitian yang diterapkan adalah research development.  Lokasi penelitian, Kota dan Kabupaten Semarang. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan studi dokumentasi. Teknik keabsahan data menggunakan treangulasi data. Teknik analisis data menggunakan alur analisis interaktif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan, materi ajar seni budaya sub materi musik dalam praktik pembelajarannya dikembangkan oleh setiap guru. Secara menonjol para guru Sekolah Dasar selalu mengganti lirik lagu yang sudah ada diganti dengan lirik materi pelajaran untuk memasukkan pesan pendidikan yang diinginkan oleh guru. Ornamentasi atau hiasan nada sangat diperlukan dalam seni suara untuk memperindah suatu melodi. Ornamentasi melodi juga terdapat pada lantunan seni baca Al-Qur’an dengan gaya Qira’ah atau mujawwad. Seni baca Al-Qur’an tersebut melagukan secara penuh melismatis dengan hiasan-hiasan atau ornamentasi melodi agar lantunan menjadi indah. Seni baca Al-Qur’an termasuk seni suara yang sering dilombakan dalam Musabaqoh Tilawatil Qur’an (MTQ).  Penelitian ini mengkaji ornamentasi melodi dan cara-cara melantunkan seni baca Al-Qur’an dalam Musabaqoh Tilawatil Qur’an (MTQ), melalui pendekatan musikologis dan antropologis perilaku pelantun Al-Qur’an. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa ornamentasi yang terjadi pada lantunan seni baca Al-Qur’an dengan gaya Qira’ah merupakan bentuk ekspresi estetis seni suara dari Pelantun Al-Qur’an (Qori/Qoriah) sesuai kemampuan dan kreativitas pelantun dalam berolah vokal. Ornamentation the Art of Qur’anic recitation in Musabaqoh Tilawatil Qur’an as a Form of Aesthetic Expression of the Art of Sound. Ornamentation is a musical term that means adding a few notes or notation on the melody, normally one word for several notes known as the melisma. Ornamentation or ornamented notes are needed in the art of sound to reshape a melody. There are also additional melodic chanting on the art of Qur’anic recitation in the style the Qira'ah the mujawwad. The art of Qur’anic recitation practice in full melismatic with decorations or additional melodic chant in order to be beautiful. The art of Qur’anic recitation includes the sound art that is often competed in the Musabaqoh Tilawatil Qur’an (MTQ). This research examines melodic ornamentation and the ways art of Qur’anic recitation practiced in the Musabaqoh Tilawatil Qur’an (MTQ), through musikological and anthropological approaches to the behavior of in reading.
