In this paper, the method of simulating the passive component L using Generalized Impedance Converter (GIC) is presented. This simulated inductor is applied for the realization of Bessel filters. The circuit simulation is done using PSPICE. This paper solves the combined economic emission dispatch problem by using Min-Max and Max-Max price penalty factor approaches using Lagrange's method. The price penalty factor for the combined economic emission dispatch (CEED) is the ratio of fuel cost to emission value. The literature papers reported that most of them use Max-Max Price penalty factor for the CEED problem. This paper analyses Min-Max and Max-Max price penalty factors for CEED problem. This CEED problem is solved for the IEEE 30 bus system with six generating units. Here non-linear sensor model using Hammerstein-Wiener was used and the amount of sensor data fault is estimated by using kalman filter. This value will be considered as an actual output in case of sensor failure. This research is a part of smart farm system in the framework of precision agriculture. This project summarizes portion that is related to path planning for a mechatronics based multifunctional vehicle. The vehicle tracking system employs the Global Positioning System (GPS) and ZigBee wireless network based on mesh topology to make the system communicate covering a large area. Router nodes are used for re-transmission of data in the network. Software was developed for acquiring data from the vehicle, storing data and displaying in real time on a web site. The rationale of developing this prototype is to make use of it in miscellaneous fields. The fields of interest include agriculture, military, space explore and investigations. So in an attempt to deploy its use, a novel concept of “solar powered stirling engine” is introduced in this paper. At present there are no solar powered Stirling engines ready for use in many countries. The Stirling engine used here runs using solar power from computer controlled solar beam concentrator. Stirling engine is unique in its sense that it uses only two pistons for its operation to produce motoring action unlike the conventional motors. A Stirling engine is basically a heat engine that operates by cyclic compression and expansion of air or other gas, the working fluid, at different temperature levels such that there is a net conversion of heat energy to mechanical work. This solar powered Stirling engine is coupled with a generator to produce power. The generator is usually a linear alternator which helps in reducing the number of moving parts and linkages that are required in a conventional generator arrangement. Moreover, the gas bearings provide a non-contact frictionless surface for the piston, thus eliminating the need of maintenance. Provision for storage of solar heat using salt storage system is implemented to make use during its absence. The Stirling engine is noted for its high efficiency (up to 40%), quiet operation, and the ease with which it can use almost any heat source. It has the ability to utilize effectively any burnable fuel, such as wood, rice husk, straw, agricultural waste and other readily available and cheap combustibles. This compatibility with alternative and renewable energy sources has become increasingly significant as the price of conventional fuel rise. This method of power production has no pollution, no noise. Incredibly, the absorber in the concentrator is very small (10″ × 10″) but has the ability of providing 10kW per hour. This is proven to be the most efficient way to convert solar energy to electric power. It is twice efficient and five times cost-effective than the conventional method using Photo voltaic cells. This engine is currently exciting interest as it is more efficient and safer than a comparable steam engine. Mammogram is the most effective method for early detection of breast cancer. In some cases, it is difficult for radiologists to detect the typical diagnostic signs such as masses and micro calcifications on the mammograms because the images are usually translucent and have low contrast. In our proposed method a filtering and multilevel wavelet decomposition method for noise suppression and enhancement in digital mammographic images is done by taking cancer detected image at initial stage as reference. The features extracted by mean, variance, standard deviation, entropy and mean of absolute deviation is calculated for the enhanced mammographic image and these values are taken as reference values. The mammographic image which is under test is taken and the process such as filtering, multilevel wavelet enhancement is done and the statistical values are calculated. Finally the process of detecting cancer is done by comparing the reference values and test values and the detection rate is calculated. If the power quality problems are not taken care then the energy usage will be more for providing the same service. This paper presents the compensation technique of harmonics which is one of the major problems in maintaining the quality of the power. Here the shunt active power filter is used for harmonic compensation. The simulation results are given for the cases with and without power filter. As it has found applications in many circuits like RC filter in phase locked loop. The noise originates from the arbitrary thermal motion of carriers and the discreteness of charge. Noise signals are random and must be treated by statistical means. Even though we cannot predict the real noise waveform, we can envisage the statistics such as the mean (average) and variance. Generally, noise contributions to electrical circuits are not accounted for when using deterministic differential equations for their modeling and ignoring noise contributions lead to poor state estimation. A first-order Ordinary Differential Equation (ODE) is used for the response analysis of the circuit. As a result of these, in this paper, the deterministic model is replaced with a stochastic model by adding a noise term as a random voltage source, which drives the RC circuit. The Itô theory is applied to the noise analysis of the noisy dynamic circuit considered here. The Itô theory has found surprising applications in stochastic models arising from diverse field. It describes the use of neural networks in a control loop applied to ac-dc buck-boost converter fed dc motor. The proposed technique makes use of the learning capability of neural networks to implement an auto-adaptive control structure. Such capability allows the network to learn the dynamic behavior of the buck-boost converter fed DC Motor. The performance of the proposed method is investigated using the MATLAB simulation models of buck-boost converter fed dc motor. Neural network controller based on pulse area modulation is built. Closed loop controller provides better dynamic control when compared to other controllers. In general, a small amount of PMD is to be considered in high data rate systems, since it limits the data rate. Unlike the chromatic dispersion phenomenon, the PMD is found to be a time varying and an unstable phenomenon. Thus compensation of PMD is required since it distorts the signal and broadens the pulse in a statistical manner. In this paper we analyze the PMD effects by varying the length and birefringence of the fiber and compensate the effect of PMD using the OPTSIM simulation for 10, and 40 Giga bits per second (Gb/s) transmission systems.
