For most applications this effect is undesirable and it should be reduced for proper operation of fiber optic system. The proposed method for reducing the fiber components environmental noise sensitivity level is based on the implementation of two-layer protective construction. The experimental test confirmed its effectiveness of undesirable impact suppression at the level from -3.2 to -19 dB relatively to the acoustic sensitivity level of bare optical fiber sample. The effectiveness appeared to be directly proportional to the acoustic pressure level. This fact allows us to implement proposed construction as an acoustic shock absorber or an acoustic filter with external impact level dependent transfert characteristic for sensitive fiber optic components.","PeriodicalId":305685,"journal":{"name":"2019 IEEE International Conference on Electrical Engineering and Photonics (EExPolytech)","volume":"36 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127255282","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Experimental determination of the phase difference of the target acoustic and vibrational signals is performed independently for each of the spirals. The sensor was placed into acoustic chamber, each of the sensor sensitive elements was connected to the interrogation system in an optical time domain multiplexing (TDM) scheme, and the phase difference of the target signals between 4 sensitive elements was determined. Additionally, similar measurements were performed when connecting the sensor to a vibrating test bench. The experimental results turned out to be close to theoretical values; under the influence of the target acoustic signal, the external and internal plates had counter-phase signals.","PeriodicalId":305685,"journal":{"name":"2019 IEEE International Conference on Electrical Engineering and Photonics (EExPolytech)","volume":"96 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116514215","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Due to the IoT requirements for efficiency, this scheme operates with limited specifications (bandwidth, sampling rate, etc.) that can limit the positioning performance based on observed time difference of arrival (OTDOA). In order to improve OTDOA-based localization performance in multipath scenarios, this paper presents an adaptive-threshold-based TDOA estimator with a previous successive interference cancellation (SIC) stage for NBIoT systems. Simulation results show that the proposed solution outperforms the classical OTDOA scheme in different multipath channels.","PeriodicalId":305685,"journal":{"name":"2019 IEEE International Conference on Electrical Engineering and Photonics (EExPolytech)","volume":"73 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129220441","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The experiments were carried out under the conditions of frequency control of the SCRFS, placed in a system of three orthogonally oriented Helmholtz coils designed to compensate for the geomagnetic field and to create a variable magnetic field of ultra-low frequency. Frequency SCRFS (volume 75×75×35 mm) was measured by the frequency counter CNT-85R with built-in rubidium frequency standard with a relative ten-second stability on the level of 10-12. The relative stability of a ten-second SCRFS was ~3•10-12. Measurements of the shielding static coefficient of the SCRFS were carried out under the conditions of the vertical component compensation of the geomagnetic laboratory field (~16 µT) with the constant magnetic field inclusion (~188 µT) created by Helmholtz coils along the axis (~102) and across the axis (~103) the SCRFS. The calculated value of the working magnetic field inside the screen was equal to 3 µT. Research results allow to make an unambiguous conclusion about the probable effect of geomagnetic field variations on the atomic clocks accuracy of the communication satellites onboard equipment, which requires an appropriate correction of the processed information.","PeriodicalId":305685,"journal":{"name":"2019 IEEE International Conference on Electrical Engineering and Photonics (EExPolytech)","volume":"113 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128211841","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
