It has a lot of emerging applications includingCredit Card, Mortgage Loan and Automobile Credit, etc. Dueto its importance, a lot of personal credit scoring methods havebeen proposed. Among many other aspects of a client, tradereference is a crucial aspect for an effective credit scoring. Ina trade reference, the referee provides a score to describe thecredit of the client with respect to the business between theclient and the referee. Most existing methods assume that thetrade reference is trustable. However, the trade referee mayconspire with the client and the trade reference score becomesuntrustable in practice. Therefore, in this paper, we propose atrade referee rank to capture both the reputation of the tradereferee and the trade reference score provided by the referee. The accuracy of using our trade reference rank is about 40%higher than that of the existing methods. We propose a randomwalk based method on a client reference graph to compute thetrade reference rank of the clients. However, programming IoT and physical devices is hard and depends on good understanding of hardware and low-level programming. Workflow and visual programming environments have been developed to address this issue, including MIT App Inventor, Microsoft Robotics Developer Studio and VPL (Visual Programming Language), and Intel Service Orchestration Layer. We have developed a new visual programming language and its development environment: ASU VIPLE (Visual IoT/Robotics Programming Language Environment). ASU VIPLE is specifically developed to support different device platforms. It supports LEGO EV3 and all IoT devices based on an open architecture. ASU VIPLE integrates engineering design process, workflow, fundamental programming concepts, control flow, parallel computing, and event-driven programming seamlessly into the curriculum. It has been pilot tested at Arizona State University in summers 2015 and 2016, and is now taught in an ASU regular class, Introduction to Engineering. It has been adopted by numerous universities around the world. Today's Air Traffic Management (ATM) system is comprised of a wide variety of application developed for specific purposes, such systems use various custom communication protocols and each system has its own self-contained information system. For this reason, ICAO has proposed the concept of SWIM for effective exchange of information between providers and users, currently the lively research of SWIM is being in progress around United States and Europe. For keeping step with ICAO, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport in Korea established the master plan and they have begun the research and the development of SWIM to integrate all aviation information systems by building navigation-based platform and to provide user-oriented navigation and aviation information services. In addition, Korea Airports Corporation was chosen as main research institution, and the development of SWIM test bed will be conducted until 2018 and a system for external services will be established by 2020. We have to consider the conveniences and availability for passer-by (pedestrians, vehicles, etc.), as well as the safety. Once a level crossing detects a failure, it makes/keeps warning according to its fail-safe philosophy and prevents passer-by from entering the train area. However, this long time warning causes not only inconveniences but also dangerous situations. For example, it may cause situations that frustrated passer-by run through the level crossing barriers and enter tracks. To solve this, we apply autonomous decentralized technology to level crossing system. We have developed a network level crossing system, in which several level crossing controllers are connected through the Ethernet to exchange their operational data. Once one controller detects a failure, it operates by means of another controllers' data. This paper studies the design of frameworks for crowd-sensing process in a distributed environment. We discuss the realization of the compatibilities of devices and services, as well as the algorithms of dealing with transmitting and accessing large amount of sensing data. We present a new distributed crowd-sensing framework called DASF, which is based on context data servers. The framework consists of three layers: hardware device layer, context data layer, and smart service layer. The key innovations and features of the framework are illustrated in detail. Inorder to improve the required computing time to detect andclassify spot and crack defects in ceramic tiles, this paperproposed parallel algorithms based on the graphical processingunit. The proposed algorithm divides ceramic tile images intonon-overlapped partitions, identifies the defected partitions andthen carries out the defect classification algorithm only onthe defected partitions. Simulation results indicate significantimprovements in terms of classification time in comparisonto the current techniques. Furthermore, computation time forparallel algorithm excels the sequential algorithm. The resultsshow the speed up of the computation of the proposed parallelcompared with sentential algorithms that increase as the imagesize increases. In this framework, a program is recognized as a flowchart. In this flowchart, different parts of the program can be executed concurrently or in an optimized order using scheduling algorithms. However, more complex equations, such as large heuristic algorithms for path finding, tend to result in huge slowdowns in execution time due to execution delays in the pipeline. The solution of this paper is to create an algorithm that uses multithreading to maximize the speedup of a given program, while taking into account both theoretical limits as well as implementation limits (due to thread creation and destruction, synchronization, and load balancing). This algorithm also incorporates a new form of branch prediction, which will limit the number of calculations and threads needed in these workflows. In this paper we first compare the two main synchronization mechanisms in PADS, namely conservative and optimistic protocols. Then we propose a Minimum Time Buckets synchronization algorithm, which can optimistically schedule events without sending anti-messages. Comparing to the well-known Breathing Time Bucket (MTB) synchronization algorithm, our algorithm reduces the waiting time and rollback probability for logical processes, yet it commits the same number of events in each time advance interval.
