Public figures, celebrities, and influencers, that is online professionals, are particularly vulnerable to hate. The final professional group in particular is subjected to continuous evaluation by observers. Given the scale and nature of their activities, which are strongly dependent on the opinion of observers, it can be hypothesised that they experience hate and harassment speech to a greater extent than other social media participants. The perspective of determining the scale of hate among Polish influencers makes it possible to gain knowledge to effectively counteract and prevent negative social and psychological effects. The purpose of the article is to describe the effects and strategies of influencers coping with the phenomenon of online hate. The study of influencers used content analysis of media messages and individual in-depth interviews. The results of the survey showed that the majority (more than 94%) of influencers have experienced hate, which most often concerned their appearance and statements. More than 40% of the surveyed influencers have suffered the effects of hate. The cognitive value is the creation of a catalogue of the effects of hate and hate speech affecting a professional group such as influencers, which will significantly translate into knowledge of methods how to counteract the hate and hate speech experienced by Internet users. Elaborating on this thesis required, on the one hand, understanding how previous theories conceptualized aggression, and on the other hand, explaining the specificity of discursive rationality. On this basis, it was possible to propose a different approach to the problem of aggression, which, in subsequent steps, allowed the recognition that (1) due to communicative aggression present in the specific media space shaped by the latest media, the fundamental tendency toward consensus in communicative processes undergoes destruction precisely because of the specificity of this “megamedial” space. This (2) consequently prevents the maintenance of the discursive nature of human rationality, and thus (3) poses a fundamental threat to the existence of the communication community. In order to understand the increasingly common verbal aggression in online debates in terms of communication, the authors analyzed a fragmentary, targeted social diagnosis regarding the level of awareness of the phenomenon of hate on the Internet and the effects caused by hate speech that directly affect people. The emergence of social media has not only changed us as users, but has provided completely new opportunities for communication. At the same time, unfortunately, there were threats resulting from the lack of content control, its rapid growth and the impact on the creation and distribution process, which increased the amount of disinformation. These factors have created fertile ground for trolls carrying out disinformation attacks in the form of entertainment publications or hate speech publications. Their role is to ridicule or insult, and their goal is to destabilize the discussion, mislead their interlocutors, and thus damage the good name of a person or group. One of them respects obligations towards the outside world and is characteristic of trends that describe reality as it is seen by the human eye. For the second strategy, the aesthetic and structural qualities of the image as such, its primacy in relation to nature and autonomy as an artistic work are important. The paper will analyze the essential features of both extremely different photographic strategies and explain the nature of their apparent contradiction. An analysis of the structural quality of the image will be used, considering the specificity of the traditional photographic technique. Then it expanded the scope of its functioning to social news and social media portals. Due to the fact that copypasta is a heterogeneous genre in aspect of form and content, it’s still evolutioning and it’s located in the borderland of literature, rhetorical forms and other forms of communication, it hasn’t received a scientific operational definition yet. The author of the article, using the research tools of literary studies, rhetoric, netnography and cyber media studies, attempted to characterize copypaste as a separate genre of internet texts, with an emphasis on the determinants of its literariness and rhetoric, and its subordination to communication functions. Usage definitions emphasize two trends which copypasta has evolved into, taking the form of funny stories or simulating a provocative statement in an online discussion as an internet trolling manifestation. This perspective makes it possible to capture the essence of the photographic work, which form and content complement each other. The analysis of Ireneusz Zjeżdżałka’s photo-images from the album “Sedimentation” was based on the semiotic theory of information, with a particular emphasis on syntactics, in order to study the role of light in the photographic image: its influence on the form and on the content, including by performing a mediumistic function, i.e. mediating, between the spheres of the sacred and the profane. The purpose of the article is to pay attention to the visual language of the image, which is governed by different rules than the verbal language. To do this, an attempt has been made to present the basic principles of “imago linguae”, with particular reference to the role of light in the photographic image as a “sine qua non” condition for the existence of photography. This is one of the ways to prevent the increase in communication disruptions such as trolling, hating or flaming in the media space. The aim is to respond to the socially signaled need to increase the linguistic awareness of interlocutors in the space of mass communication, improve the quality of the culture of the language used in public and strengthen respect for experts in the field of linguistics and social communication. The result of the considerations is an attempt to indicate the need to include teaching the culture of language with rhetoric (primarily the art of argumentation) into the broadly understood education in the humanities and social sciences. Thanks to it, new generations of participants in global media communication will be able to answer key questions: how to speak versus writing in a cultural and ethical way so that we are listened to versus read? The subject of the research was the erotic portal Datezone, presented from the media perspective of the cultivation theory of the American researcher George Gerbner. The case study uses the method of observation, analysis and criticism of sources, and content analysis. The article answers the questions: 1) What is the content of Datezone?, 2) who are the users of the portal and 3) what are the distinctive features of erotic portals. The analysis showed that Datezone is a more time-intensive website than Onet.
