The two basic operations for tracking mobile users, location updating and paging, constitute a necessary overhead on the network. A central problem in the design phase of the system is Location Area Planning: optimally divide the service area into location areas to minimize the total cost of updating and paging. This paper examines complete homogeneous traffic, i.e., the number of mobile users that move between any pair of cells per time unit is a constant, and presents a polynomial time approximation scheme.","PeriodicalId":303484,"journal":{"name":"2009 4th International Conference on Computer Science & Education","volume":"12 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2009-07-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130637259","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this paper, this quantization process was achieved using variations on a celebrated quantum algorithm due to Grover. Later, this approach to unsupervised learning was illustrated with a quantized version of standard clustering algorithm: Fuzzy C-Means. A significant speedup compared to the classical approach was achieved on analyzing the running time of the proposed algorithm.","PeriodicalId":303484,"journal":{"name":"2009 4th International Conference on Computer Science & Education","volume":"33 7","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2009-07-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"120902606","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This method is based on the concepts of social relationship overlay and pheromone-based ant-like query routing. It exploits an ant-like query routing mechanism, which views query messages as artificial ants, and utilizes pheromone as routing hints that direct query messages to nodes owning more courseware. This paper presents generation and update rule of pheromone, routing policy for artificial ants as well. In order to avoid getting into local optimization, the roulette wheel technique is used in routing policy. Our method supports high mobility and is suitable for pervasive learning networks. By adjusting the number of artificial ants dynamically, a better tradeoff between cost and quality could be achieved.","PeriodicalId":303484,"journal":{"name":"2009 4th International Conference on Computer Science & Education","volume":"8 4","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2009-07-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"120909834","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Therefore, in this paper, we present an efficient HW/SW codesign architecture for JPEG encoder and its FPGA implementation. It consists of a NIOS II processor that controls the scheduling of a set of specialized processors that perform the discrete cosine transform (DCT), quantization (Q), RLC, Huffman encoder. The architecture also includes pre-processing modules for the input video signal from the camera and interfaces for the external video memory and the LCD. The JPEG encoder supports the baseline JPEG mode and an efficient architecture for the 2-D DCT is suggested to reduce the chip size. The whole design is described in verilog HDL language, verified in simulations and implemented in Cyclone II EP2C35 FPGA. Finally, the encoder has been tested on a NIOS II development board and some experimental results are demonstrated.","PeriodicalId":303484,"journal":{"name":"2009 4th International Conference on Computer Science & Education","volume":"20 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2009-07-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"120952231","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this method, the Green component of a color image is coded using SPIHT Algorithm, and the other two components are segmented into multi-subregions by quadtree partitioning according to the non-correlation degree of three color components. Based on the calculated correlation vectors between three components in the same subregion, the coding for the other two components becomes the coding of correlation vectors. Experiment results show that this method is of high coding and decoding rates, and with quite good signal to noise ratio, compression rate and visual quality.","PeriodicalId":303484,"journal":{"name":"2009 4th International Conference on Computer Science & Education","volume":"243 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2009-07-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116183781","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Among these theories, constructivist learning theory and ARCS motivation theory are most widely applied. In this paper, we show that either of these two theories alone is not perfect to instructional design model and propose the concepts: experience that is the combination point of both theories, the core of the knowledge structure and experiencing teaching strategy. We present a hybrid model of instructional design around experiencing and form an adequate framework for designing courses. However, the survey found the efficiency, effectiveness and capability of most these enterprises are not performing well, less competitive power in this modern market economy. This result is caused by the very low level of industry organization in agricultural products. Then, the evolution of agricultural products logistics organization is analyzed. With ant colony algorithm of swarm intelligence, it is proposed that to build virtual enterprise in the horizontal for the agricultural products logistics operation, and to design dynamic alliance in the longitudinal for the agricultural products supply chain. This paper analyzes the median filter and its shortcomings and proposes a modified detection method for moving objects with complex background. Using the method based on decision-making data gives the weights of a consecutive sequence of frames to calculate the weighted average of the corresponding values of pixel in them and the background is modeled for real-time updating. Besides, the thrice threshold processing used to detect and extract objects is presented, which is by using a combination of standard deviation in weighted algorithm and the adaptive threshold algorithm. The experiment results indicate that adopting this method can separate the object from the background and remove the background mistaken for objects and meet the system's real-time requirements of monitoring.","PeriodicalId":303484,"journal":{"name":"2009 4th International Conference on Computer Science & Education","volume":"62 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2009-07-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130235871","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
