Conceptually, analysis of these practices shows the excessive simplicity of the division between elitist and popular cultural forms, and the need of finding ways to establish appropriately the pertinence of social phenomena like these. From a cultural and sociological point of view, public prayers provide information about religious valours of a society; but also on her daily fears, and attempts of authorities to acheve a social cohesion at particular moments.
