To predict the future plant behavior, a classical Takagi-Sugeno inference is used. A comparison by applying the Gradient descent and the Newton-Raphson optimization approaches is made. The efficiency of the proposed optimization strategies is demonstrated by experiments in MATLAB environment to control a Continuous Stirred Tank Reactor.","PeriodicalId":301458,"journal":{"name":"2013 IEEE INISTA","volume":"15 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-06-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132583761","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

With the development of high-speed trains, this transportation way has been widely used for the transportation of people and cargo. However, several fault type in the pantograph-catenary system affects the performance of the train. Contact between a pantograph and catenary must slide along train movement. A sufficient lifting force should be applied to the contact wire when train moves. Vibrations occurred between a pantograph and catenary system and oscillations of contact wire cause the loss of contact. So, burst of arcing occurs in contact point. In this study, a new computer vision based method is proposed to control the contact force. The proposed algorithm utilizes the edge detection and Hough transform for detection of pantograph height. The obtained height is given to the control algorithm and the height of the pantograph is adjusted. The proposed method is verified by using a video taken from real pantograph and efficient results has been obtained.","PeriodicalId":301458,"journal":{"name":"2013 IEEE INISTA","volume":"105 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-06-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134290319","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this study, the selection of the best among the alternative white goods brand is handled as a Multi Criteria Decision Making (MCDM) problem. Within the scope of this study, alternative three white goods brands (A, B, C) are evaluated. Firstly in the scope of the evaluation, a decision team is created as formed by two persons from three families who confronted with such kind of a choice problem. Common view of the decision team is taken for generating hierarchical decision model to be used in evaluation of alternative white goods brands. The Generalized Choquet Integral (GCI) method, being one of the MCDM methods, is used at solution of the problem. At the end of the study, obtained results and evaluations are included.","PeriodicalId":301458,"journal":{"name":"2013 IEEE INISTA","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-06-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130192542","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However parent selection and network awareness are not addressed properly in these leading studies. In order to fill this gap, we introduce the design and implementation of a Multi-agent System (MAS) for P2P video streaming in this paper. The construction of the MAS by applying a well-defined agent-oriented software engineering methodology is discussed. The internal structure of each agent in the proposed MAS is based on the well-known Belief-Desire-Intention (BDI) architecture. Experimental results show that the proposed MAS succeeds the related parent selection and promotes the system execution. BDI-based MAS design given in this paper can guide those researchers who aim to implement autonomous mesh-based P2P video streaming systems.","PeriodicalId":301458,"journal":{"name":"2013 IEEE INISTA","volume":"42 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-06-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124385321","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It is called dynamic model based clustering since the structure of model changes at each stage of refinement process dynamically.
