The purpose of the research is to develop a mobile learning product based on multimedia in class X informatics subjects at SMKN. This research method is development research (R&D) with a 4D development model. The population in this study was all grade X students at SMKN 1 West Pasaman. The sample of this study amounted to 25 respondents taken from one class X at SMKN. The data collection tool used a questionnaire with a total of 19 question items. The data analysis technique used is descriptive quacitivative, using Likert scale. The results of research on learning media development by media validators 1 and 2 were obtained \" 4.95\" with the category \"Very Valid\". For material validators on the feasibility aspects of content, presentation, and evaluation, \"4.10\" was obtained with the category \"Valid\". {"title":"Implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum to Strengthen Literacy Skills in Early Grades of Elementary Schools","authors":"Marzoan Marzoan","doi":"10.58258/jime.v10i1.6692","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.58258/jime.v10i1.6692","url":null,"abstract":"This study discusses the implementation of the Kurikulum Merdeka as a strategic step to strengthen literacy skills in early grades at Elementary Schools. The research aims to investigate and analyze the implementation of the Kurikulum Merdeka, identify potential challenges, and evaluate its impact on strengthening literacy skills of students in elementary schools. The research method employed a qualitative approach with a focus on the experiences of students, teachers, and school principals. The study took place in 20 elementary schools across 4 districts implementing the Kurikulum Merdeka in Central Lombok Regency, West Nusa Tenggara. Data collection involved interviews and observations of the implementation of initial assessments and differentiated learning, which are integral parts of the Kurikulum Merdeka. The findings reveal that the majority of teachers have conducted initial assessments in accordance with Kurikulum Merdeka procedures. Although there are challenges related to the understanding of guidelines by a small percentage of teachers, there are strong indications of a shift in their mindset regarding the importance of assessments. Differentiated learning is implemented in various ways, with students experiencing its benefits, including improved literacy skills. Schools also have data-based literacy reinforcement programs to support the implementation of the Kurikulum Merdeka. The conclusion of this study is that the implementation of the Kurikulum Merdeka in terms of assessment and differentiated learning has a positive impact, including the potential to enhance students' literacy skills. Despite challenges, continuous efforts are being made to improve the quality of learning and literacy achievements of students. The results of this research provide valuable insights for education practitioners and policymakers to continually enhance the effectiveness of the Kurikulum Merdeka in shaping a smart and competitive younger generation in the current era and the future. Spelling, conventional grammar, and common dictionary words are just some of the linguistic norms that can be found in standard words. This research aims to describe the level of students' ability to differentiate standard vocabulary from non-standard vocabulary in Indonesian. The population in this study were students in semester 1 (one) class F of the Veterinary Medicine Education Study Program, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Mandalika Education University totaling 39 people. Data collection was carried out using test techniques, while data analysis was carried out using percentage techniques. Based on the results of the research that has been carried out, it is known that the level of student ability is adequate. This can be seen from the results of data analysis which shows that 74.36%Sample students who got a score of 6.5 and above, while students who got a score below 6.5 were 25.64%%.On this basis, it is hoped that in the learning process in class, lecturers who teach Indonesian language courses will intensively provide assignments or training to students, especially in terms of the differences between standard and non-standard vocabulary. The data was analyzed descriptively quantitative-qualitatively with the results: media experts obtained a feasibility percentage of 68%, material experts 97%, student responses 93%, pre-test questions 71%, and post-test questions 90%. Judging from the results of video-based learning media data analysis is said to be feasible by obtaining a valid, effective and practical score that meets the feasibility value. The observed components consist of the implementation philosophy of the Fun Model, media facilities and infrastructure in the implementation of the Fun Model, the role of teachers in the implementation of the Fun Model, the implementation policy of the Fun Model, and the evaluation of the Fun Model. The results of the study found that Nurul Jannah Ar-Rosikhoh Kindergarten had implemented the ASYIK Model learning according to the specified rules. Employing a qualitative approach, the research utilizes various data collection methods, including in-depth interviews with teenagers aged 18-22, discussions with the City's Communication and Information Office (Diskominfo), observation of teenage Facebook users, and document analysis related to the study's focus. The research findings undergo thorough analysis through stages of data reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results reveal that Facebook usage has both positive and negative impacts on teenagers in Makassar City. Positively, the platform facilitates the establishment and regulation of friendships, promoting positive communication through content sharing and constructive comments. Conversely, negative consequences arise as users feel offended by statuses, comments, and uploaded media touching on personal matters. Moreover, these negative impacts extend to teenagers displaying apathy towards social relationships, leading to procrastination and forgetfulness. Teenagers in Makassar predominantly use Facebook for gaming, entertainment, watching, and online selling. The government, as a key policymaker, encounters challenges in significantly minimizing the negative effects of Facebook usage among teenagers due to privacy concerns. Current governmental initiatives are confined to socialization campaigns and encouraging responsible and positive social media use among teenagers.
