Comme decrit dans la litterature specialisee, parmi les exigences techniques d'un tel traitement, la nouvelle structure doit avoir une rigidite et une recuperation elastique importante. Il y est egalement mentionne l'utilisation de materiaux non hygroscopique, isotropique et hautement reversible. La restauration a ete rendue necessaire a cause de l'assombrissement du vernis et la deterioration due a des degâts des eaux. Une serie d'examens techniques a ete effectuee.
