The mechanism of losses is diffractional scattering of light beam used in Fabry-Perot resonator on the edge of corner reflector. We show that Goos-Haenchen shift of totally reflected light beam significantly increases the value of losses. By means of discretization the wave equation was reduced to the system of homogeneous linear equations, for that the eigenvalue problem was worked out. The eigenvalues alpha=(2pib/lambda)2, where b is the distance between the nodes of discretization, lambda - the wavelength, were determined and the distribution of relative field amplitudes was calculated. 2D media (ordered and random) were simulated by matrix whose elements take on two different values. One of them corresponds to dielectric permittivity of the material particles, the other to permittivity of the spaces between them. All calculations were made using MATLAB. Different variants of ordered and random media were examined. It was shown that localized modes exist only in disordered systems in a limited range of ratio b/lambda. The dependence of modes character on the value of filling ratio and dielectric permittivity is estimated","PeriodicalId":301144,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of LFNM 2005. 7th International Conference on Laser and Fiber-Optical Networks Modeling, 2005.","volume":"131 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2005-12-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"117054730","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In the hybrid-emitting design, the difference-frequency mid/far-infrared signal is surface-emitted by means of a grating, while the dual-wavelength near-infrared or mid-infrared lasing proceeds in a standard edge-emitting geometry. Employing intracavity optical pump fields provides the possibility of the injection current pumping and removes many problems associated with the external optical pump, e.g., drive absorption and spatial inhomogeneity which were encountered in previous works on nonlinear optics in semiconductors. The grating (dielectric or metal) can be implemented either on the surface or in the bulk of any nonlinear-mixing laser, independently on its electrical pumping design, and provides an efficient diffractive (Bragg) coupling of the nonlinear current, generated in the bulk of the heterostructure, to the output mid/far-infrared radiation in the free space","PeriodicalId":301144,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of LFNM 2005. 7th International Conference on Laser and Fiber-Optical Networks Modeling, 2005.","volume":"91 5 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2005-12-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129904658","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The complete wireless sensor system includes a transponder, consisting of an antenna wired to a SAW device, and a local reader unit, consisting of a radar transceiver linked to a signal processing and controlling unit. An RF burst transmitted by the radar transceiver is received by the passive SAW transponder. The passive transponder responses with an RF signal - like a radar echo, which can be received by the front-end of the local transceiver. Amplitude, frequency, phase, and time of arrival of this RF response signal carry information about the SAW reflection and propagation mechanisms which in many cases can be directly attributed to the sensor effect for a certain measurand. Due to the high delay time of the SAW transponder in the order of a few us, usually no intersymbol interferences (ISI) due to environmental reflections occur when the system operates in typical, i.e. harsh indoor/outdoor environments. In that case, the resonant circuit loss is compensated by a periodic change of an oscillation loop parameter at an appropriate frequency (pump action). The modulated parameter should be, for instance, the series capacitance of a RLC resonant circuit by using a varactor diode. In fact, this component basically operates as a noiseless reverse-biased junction expected to be a good candidate for a low noise oscillator circuit design. Parametric amplifiers widely used in the microwave domain are much less used in the RF oscillator circuits, probably because their development leads to a more involved circuitry and the lack of suitable simulation tools. The paper recalls the principle of the parametric oscillator an example of which using a quartz resonator (PXO) will be presented. Various methods used to analyse the behaviour of the PXO are described, and comparison between theory, simulation, and experimental results are discussed. Encouraging power spectral density of phase noise fluctuations obtained so far are demonstrated","PeriodicalId":301144,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of LFNM 2005. 7th International Conference on Laser and Fiber-Optical Networks Modeling, 2005.","volume":"5 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2005-12-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133806181","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The dynamics is described using the results of the numerical solution of self-consistent Schrodinger equations for amplitudes of electronic states of molecule and Newton equation for isomerization coordinate. The examples of the \"frequency\" and \"duration bifurcations\" of choice of one or another well of the double-well potential by isomerization oscillator are given. It is concluded that at reduction of duration of pulses of an irradiation resulting in irreversible isomerization, the range of carrier frequency without bifurcation values extends.
