Currently, it is done either through wireless modes such as the internet or radio-frequency; or in-person. But these have problems such as data-breach, unaddressed-access and delay. In order to address this, the paper proposes the use of tactical drones and Laser-based Visible Light Communication (L-VLC). The idea is to control the drone from data source, upload it with encrypted confidential data, fly it to near the destination and deliver data to the end node without landing; returning to the source thereafter. A lot of investment is already being done on Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) for military applications such as surveillance and logistics. The use of L-VLC not only brings additional functionality to the current investments but also resolves this major problem, along with increased security, reduced delay and an environment-friendly approach. Due to its Point-to-Point data delivery mechanism, it ensures end-node delivery with instant acknowledgment. The paper also contains some basic theoretical analysis of specifications for the drone, memory element, L-VLC transmitter and receiver; to be used for this purpose. However, a complex mathematical analysis on the detailed simulation parameters is kept for the further study on the method. The future scope of the related technologies such as Drone-as-a-Service, improving drone control system security, multi-drone L-VLC network are also briefly touched.","PeriodicalId":301027,"journal":{"name":"2020 3rd International Conference on Advanced Communication Technologies and Networking (CommNet)","volume":"9 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129046246","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It has a very high Peak to Average Power Ratio (PAPR) due to the very great dynamic of the time domain signal. At high energy efficient level, the high PAPR is major concern, especially when non-linear power amplifiers (PA) are used. PA linearization together with PAPR reduction techniques are two classical techniques for improving energy efficiency and BER performance. In this paper, two low PAPR techniques with similar transmitter architecture will be compared, in terms of energy efficiency and BER performance: Outphasing method which generates two emitted signals with constant envelope and iterative dichotomy PAPR reduction (IDP) method which creates two emitted signals with low PAPR. In the two cases, the two generated signals are non-linearly amplified and further combined before the antenna device. Simulation results show that the IDP technique outperforms Outphasing technique in terms of BER and emitted power.","PeriodicalId":301027,"journal":{"name":"2020 3rd International Conference on Advanced Communication Technologies and Networking (CommNet)","volume":"12 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128019857","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

FIPA has proposed a set of standards and specifications to maximize interoperability between heterogeneous multi-agent platforms. These FIPA standards and specifications focus on the communication aspect between agents based on the FIPA-ACL language, which is not sufficient to ensure interoperability between heterogeneous agents. Message content, and higher semantic levels that are more domain-specific (e.g. ontologies), must also be standardized while maintaining separation from the communicative level. Similarly, the lower level and the message transport must also be interoperable. In this context, we propose in this paper to integrate in the architecture of these systems, in a first step, a Broker that relies on the AMQP (Advanced Message Queuing Protocol) protocol, such as RabbitMQ, to ensure interoperability in the message transport level between agents. Secondly, a neural network composed of two layers: the CNN layer to extract the main characteristics of a message sent by an agent and send them to the second layer; a recurrent neural network of the LSTM type, which will process them characteristic by characteristic in order to interpret the content of the message.","PeriodicalId":301027,"journal":{"name":"2020 3rd International Conference on Advanced Communication Technologies and Networking (CommNet)","volume":"2248 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130210496","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Therefore, and due to the multiple advantages (eg; simple concept, easy application of MIMO systems, good dynamic and steady-state performances), the predictive control (PC) is considered as an alternative tool to control the power converters. A cost-function, synthetizes the control objectives, presents the mismatch between the desired and actual behaviors of the system is evaluated every sampling period to generate the optimal action. The tradeoff between controlled variables is defined by weighting factors that are specified by the ‘heuristic approach’ or ‘trial and error manner’. Generally, the process requires a large number of simulations/experiments and significant development time period. In this work, a fuzzy multi-criteria decision-making (FMDM) based on membership functions (MFs) is presented to avoid the weighting factors tuning processes. The stability, robustness and compensation of computational delay are embedded in the formulation of the predictive control by modified prediction, modified Lyapunov-function and long horizon of prediction approach, respectively. The proposed predictive scheme based on the FMDM’ optimization has demonstrated superior performance in simulation as compared to that of scheme with the weightings factors optimization. In this frame, multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) systems have shown a good efficiency by combating the phenomenon of fading as well as enhancing the performance of wireless communication systems. Particularly, MIMO systems with space-time block codes are promised solutions allowing to provide full diversity over coherent flat-fading channels. In this paper, relying on a highly accurate approximate the probability density function of the sum of correlated Weibull distributions, various performance criteria of MIMO-STBC systems undergoing Weibull fading channels are derived in approximate forms, namely outage probability, average capacity, and average symbol error rate. The accuracy of the aforementioned approximate expressions have been corroborated by the Monte-Carlo simulation method. Further, to gain more insights into the system’s performance, the impact of the key parameters on the considered MIMO-STBC system reliability are highlighted.","PeriodicalId":301027,"journal":{"name":"2020 3rd International Conference on Advanced Communication Technologies and Networking (CommNet)","volume":"19 1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121280293","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, the performance of an UWOC system degrades with an increase in temperature and pressure gradients, air bubble levels and salinity variations, which collectively contribute to underwater optical turbulence (UOT). In this paper, UOT is characterized by the Exponential-Generalized Gamma (EGG) distribution. Moreover, to improve the reliability and performance of UWOC links, a 2 $times$ 1 Alamouti based space-time block code (STBC) employing Intensity Modulation/Direct Detection (IM/DD) with subcarrier intensity modulation (SIM) technique using M-PSK is considered, which significantly improves the error rate of the UWOC system. An MGF based approach is used to derive the average SER and the diversity order of the considered UWOC system. The performance of the UWOC system is analysed under different underwater channel conditions, for both salty as well as fresh waters and it is observed that water salinity affects the system performance in a greater degree than air bubbles. Furthermore, the diversity analysis demonstrates that the diversity gain is upper bound to 1.","PeriodicalId":301027,"journal":{"name":"2020 3rd International Conference on Advanced Communication Technologies and Networking (CommNet)","volume":"35 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133974260","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

They allow users to be better informed about road conditions, and make the use of transport networks safer, more coordinated and smarter. Vehicular Ad hoc Networks (VANETs) are a key component of intelligent transportation systems. They allow users to have information on their route, weather, road conditions, and Internet access, all in real time. These networks also provide access to various relaxation and entertainment applications such as transporting multimedia data, obtaining tourist information. The VANET network provides access to information in real time and in private. This fact has a great impact on the behavior of the user, his life and that of the passengers. This network also ensures user security by preserving anonymity and securing their personal data. Several VANET safety challenges are considered by the existing vehicular network security standards. However, given the advancement of Fifth-Generation (5G) networks and the requirement for a variety of different applications and services across vehicular networks, merging 5G and vehicular ad-hoc networks is crucial. Nevertheless, as the immense amount of vehicles growing daily and each one of them needs to execute a complete network authentication process to join the network, there may be network congestion when a group of vehicles requires simultaneous access, and may also have a major impact on the high rate of 5G. The Authentication and Key Agreement (AKA) mechanism introduced by the Third-Generation Partnership Project (3GPP) in Fourth-Generation (4G) and 5G networks is inadequate to manage many devices. The purpose of this work is to propose an enhanced and secure authentication and key agreement protocol based group of vehicles is 5G networks.
