The performance of any steganography algorithm depends on two factors: embedding efficiency and embedding payload. In this paper, a high embedding payload of video steganography algorithm has been proposed based on the BCH coding. To improve the security of the algorithm, a secret message is first encoded by BCH(n, k, t) coding. Then, it is embedded into the discrete wavelet transform (DWT) coefficients of video frames. As the DWT middle and high frequency regions are considered to be less sensitive data, the secret message is embedded only into the middle and high frequency DWT coefficients. The proposed algorithm is tested under two types of videos that contain slow and fast motion objects. The results of the proposed algorithm are compared to both the Least Significant Bit (LSB) and [1] algorithms. The results demonstrate better performance for the proposed algorithm than for the others. The hiding ratio of the proposed algorithm is approximately 28%, which is evaluated as a high embedding payload with a minimal tradeoff of visual quality. The robustness of the proposed algorithm was tested under various attacks. The results were consistent.","PeriodicalId":300798,"journal":{"name":"2015 Wireless Telecommunications Symposium (WTS)","volume":"109 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-04-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122951733","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The data transmitted through the computer network must be confidential and authenticated in advance. In this paper, we develop and improve security of the braided single stage quantum cryptography. This improvement is based on a novel authentication algorithm by using signature verification without using the three stages protocol to share the secret key between the sender and receiver. This approach will work against attacks such as replay and man-in-the-middle by increasing the security as well as the over efficiency, reducing the overhead through using three stages and increasing the speed of the communication between two parties.","PeriodicalId":300798,"journal":{"name":"2015 Wireless Telecommunications Symposium (WTS)","volume":"375 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-04-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133446700","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Broadcast is not a suitable solution for today's wireless users. Broadcast services have failed to enter the mainstream of mobile business. In this paper we propose a novel way of using Enhanced Multimedia Broadcast Multicast Service (eMBMS) in LTE to deliver content predictively to the user device for later consumption. eMBMS is particularly relevant as it is the first cellular systems that allows in-band broadcast capability successfully. We show through simulation that this method has the potential of doubling the capacity of a wireless service provider thereby allowing more users in a network without additional investment.","PeriodicalId":300798,"journal":{"name":"2015 Wireless Telecommunications Symposium (WTS)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-04-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129513874","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The ability to send a trigger avoids the need for the UE to maintain constant contact with the SCS via keep-alive messaging. Keep-alive messaging can be particularly wasteful when considering the nature of M2M Communications. The SMS based triggering solution requires that the UE support an application that listens on an SMS port for triggers. In this paper, we propose an IP-Based trigger delivery method. The proposed triggering method allows a UE to receive a trigger by simply listening on a User Datagram Protocol (UDP) port. The solution also allows the UE to reply to the SCS with a small application specific response. We present the call flow for the new triggering method and the required enhancements to the 3GPP Machine-Type Communication Interworking Function (MTC-IWF). The paper concludes by presenting a demonstration platform that shows the IP-based trigger delivery method working with a commercially available Long Term Evolution (LTE) UE and a oneM2M compliant M2M Server.","PeriodicalId":300798,"journal":{"name":"2015 Wireless Telecommunications Symposium (WTS)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-04-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129775028","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Fixed gain (FG) amplification at the relay is assumed. Two most important statistical functions describing total received signal-to-noise ratio are derived: probability density function (PDF) and cumulative distribution function (CDF). They are obtained in a form of rapidly converging infinite sum. This paper investigates a disintegrated CE technique that is unavoidably required for the space-time coding in the cooperative relay network and that can effectively work in a scalable relay network with a fixed protocol. The filter-and-forward (FF) relaying strategy is studied herein with a superimposed training method to estimate channels on different hops. To overcome disadvantage of the interference suppression method in a conventional FF relay network, a generalized filtering technique is proposed to coordinate multi-relay transmissions for reducing inter-relay interference (IRI). The generalized filtering matrix can effectively multiplex the training sequences from different relays to the destination via frequency-division multiplexing (FDM), time-division multiplexing (TDM) and codedivision multiplexing (CDM) methods; unlike a conventional beamforming method being seriously constrained on the size of a relay network in which only 2 relays in dual hops are present. The improvements attained using the proposed technique are confirmed comprehensive computer simulations.","PeriodicalId":300798,"journal":{"name":"2015 Wireless Telecommunications Symposium (WTS)","volume":"23 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-04-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122471358","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The conclusions are founded on simulation results, validated using first order techniques, over TGac channel models. The IEEE 802.11ac simulator implements hard-decision Viterbi decoding and realistic synchronization and channel estimation algorithms. The List MMSE-SIC scheme presents power gains around 2 dB in relation to the List ZF-SIC MIMO detector. The QRM-MLD MIMO detector has a highly superior performance regarding to the List MMSE-SIC MIMO detector since this latter scheme cannot overcome the propagation errors that degrade the performance of MMSE-SIC MIMO detectors. However, for moderate list lengths of 4 and 8, the QRM-MLD MIMO detector presents severe power losses in relation to the optimal SD MIMO detector. The LR MMSE-SIC MIMO detector allows power losses of only 1-2 dB in reference to the optimal SD MIMO receiver. There are no noticeable power gains when List detection techniques in MMSE-SIC MIMO detectors are implemented since the diversity gains due to implementation of LR basis change overcome the error propagation in SIC MIMO detectors with original channel basis.","PeriodicalId":300798,"journal":{"name":"2015 Wireless Telecommunications Symposium (WTS)","volume":"51 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-04-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116004190","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

After carefully studying the original BEMR design, two new approaches are proposed to enhance the BEMR performance. One is in the tree set-up phase, while the other is for broken link recovery. Both the original BEMR and the new scheme (IBEMR) are simulated in self-developed OPNET-based platform. The IBEMR scheme eventually builds a shared tree for this multicast group rather than a dedicate tree for a particular multicast sender generated by original BEMR. The result shows that for both route setup phase and route recovery phase, the IBEMR scheme provides better multicast efficiency with further reduced communication overhead.","PeriodicalId":300798,"journal":{"name":"2015 Wireless Telecommunications Symposium (WTS)","volume":"116 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-04-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130776467","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
