La discusión de dicha práctica gira en particular alrededor del libro de matemáticas más antiguo que existe publicado en el período colonial en América Central: la Arithmetica practica del padre Juan José de Padilla, publicado en 1732. En la primera parte del artículo, describo brevemente mi encuentro con el libro de Padilla y los problemas contextuales que encontré para ofrecer una edición facsímil del mismo. En la segunda parte, defino la aproximación historiográfica que utilizo. Argumento que investigar acerca de las prácticas matemáticas históricas es indagar acerca de las matemáticas tal como fueron imaginadas, pensadas y utilizadas dentro de un cierto contexto histórico cultural. También es indagar sobre las maneras en que las matemáticas, los matemáticos, los libros de matemáticas y otros artefactos encajan y responden ideológicamente a las estructuras económicas, políticas y educativas de su tiempo.","PeriodicalId":30076,"journal":{"name":"Revista Latinoamericana de Etnomatematica","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-06-18","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"83899753","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Las preguntas que orientaron esta investigación tienen que ver con los tipos de experiencias profesional y de formación reportadas en las tramas narrativas de los profesores y los sentidos que se develan acerca de sus subjetividades. Esta investigación se desarrolla mediante métodos cualitativos de tipo inductivo y se compromete con la comunión cognitiva entre los profesores e investigadora y la doble hermenéutica que ésta implica. Para su desarrollo se creó un ambiente de aprendizaje en el que nueve profesores de matemáticas experimentaron la creación e interpretación de tramas narrativas autobiográficas sobre su experiencia profesional y trayectoria de formación en tres fases: preconfiguración, configuración y reconfiguración. En la fase de reconfiguración, los profesores y la investigadora llevaron a cabo análisis paradigmáticos y narrativos de datos provenientes de sus tramas, con los cuales los profesores lograron tomar distancia de sus experiencias, vivieron procesos de identificación y entraron en modo subjuntivo. Como resultado se develan las capacidades de contar, decir y hacer de los profesores. Otros resultados fueron: la transición entre una postura moralmente neutra y una como sujeto responsable; el saber artesanal proveniente de la comunidad de profesores a la que pertenecen; las prácticas culturales que permitieron los primeros vínculos con prácticas matemáticas; la relevancia de otros en la configuración de su identidad profesional, en especial, el papel de sus pares académicos como expertos adaptativos o rutinarios y las interacciones con los estudiantes","PeriodicalId":30076,"journal":{"name":"Revista Latinoamericana de Etnomatematica","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-12-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"73959127","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Llama la atención la emergencia de discursos gubernamentales sobre la formación crítica de profesores de matemáticas para la transformación individual y social de la población colombiana. La investigación que se reporta, quiso dar cuenta de las prácticas discursivas que se construyen desde 2000 hasta 2015, para establecer el tipo de ser profesor de matemáticas que se produce y esto relacionarlo con las preocupaciones de tipo social del país. Esta problematización se abordó haciendo uso de la caja de herramientas arqueológicas y genealógicas foucaultianas, pues ellas permiten abordar la subjetividad como producto de un complejo entramado de relaciones de saber y poder. \u0000Se logra mostrar como sobre la formación crítica de profesores por lo menos se observan dos registros que se oponen en sus finalidades sociales, particularmente los discursos gubernamentales producen subjetividades de profesores con una idea de crítica como pensamiento crítico para resolver problemas asociados a la producción y consumo material e inmaterial, es decir, estos discursos fabrican subjetividades útiles al sistema económico hegemónico. \u0000Develar esta normalidad, desnaturalizarla, dejar de aceptarla como buena o necesaria en sí misma, permite establecer la emergencia de sujetos profesores de matemáticas que propongan maneras distintas de ser en relación con otra idea de crítica ligada a la formación democrática, a la ciudadanía crítica, a la paz y la justicia social.","PeriodicalId":30076,"journal":{"name":"Revista Latinoamericana de Etnomatematica","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-12-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"72475838","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Apoyados en la Socioepistemología, se diseñaron situaciones variacionales al adaptar al aula la elaboración y uso de las tolvas que se construyen en la industria de la Pailería. Las estrategias variacionales de comparación, seriación, predicción y estimación realizadas por los alumnos, sobre los datos que obtuvieron al medir los lados de un triángulo rectángulo visualizado al interior de las tolvas, les permitieron resignificar, en términos del almacenamiento y vaciado de material granulado de las tolvas, la relación matemática señalada por el teorema.","PeriodicalId":30076,"journal":{"name":"Revista Latinoamericana de Etnomatematica","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-12-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"84004514","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

We have no knowledge of studies on the ethnomathematics existing in Portuguese popular proverbs. Given the richness of these and the potential for use in the teaching and learning of mathematics, we propose to present here an initiating approach to the subject. From a core of about 2000 proverbs, at a first level of analysis we proceed to the identification of existing mathematical concepts. In a second level of analysis we categorise the mode (ethno)mathematics appears in Portuguese popular proverbs. We established three categories: Explicit Mode, Implicit Mode and Subtle Mode. We illustrate each category and explain the ethnomathematics involved in order to make clear the possible use of proverbs in the classroom of mathematics at various levels of education.","PeriodicalId":30076,"journal":{"name":"Revista Latinoamericana de Etnomatematica","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-12-06","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"46391532","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Within the framework of the ethnographic method, the information was obtained through visits and interviews with the Aymara speakers of the communities of the Moho and El Collao province of the Puno region - Peru, contrasted and supplemented with a documentary source Vocabulary of the Aymara language from 1612 and current specialized literature (books and dictionaries). The geometric terms were identified by equivalence and conceptual approximation, and this process showed that the Aymara language has a rich and flexible mathematical lexical background of its own to adapt to current scientific and pedagogical requirements, whether by creating neologisms or borrowing from raw or foreign languages, in case of gaps. The terminology presented in tables was written respecting the linguistic norms of Aymara, and it is expected that it will be standardized and socialized by the authorities of the Ministry of Education, and serve as the basis for future discussions and research.","PeriodicalId":30076,"journal":{"name":"Revista Latinoamericana de Etnomatematica","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"42586425","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
