Therefore CATV operators are planning N-Screen services to their subscribers. They have two ways to provide N-Screen services. One is an H/E based N-Screen approach that transforms contents into IP streams directly from H/E to subscriber's devices. The other one is a gateway based N-Screen approach that converts RF contents to IP streams in the gateway in order to deliver them to subscriber's devices. In this case, CATV operators can provide new N-Screen services with no change of their legacy broadcasting system. But long channel zapping time may be inevitable because of these legacy SI system. The aim of the present paper is to propose methods to reduce channel zapping in N-Screen services for cable operators.","PeriodicalId":299228,"journal":{"name":"2014 International Conference on Information and Communication Technology Convergence (ICTC)","volume":"18 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-12-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134115210","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In particular in health area devices and technologies related to market place are often restricted to proprietary platforms, typically working in isolation with fixed hardware settings. Gaining access to high-quality data - including aggregated data from existing sensors, gadgets and smart devices is one important challenge. This article explores the idea of hSpy, an intelligent framework to support context and predictive analysis based on the integration of distributed and heterogeneous mobile sensor data for smarter health devices. hSpy aims to help users monitoring their current health status via the acquisition of meaningful and accurate information.","PeriodicalId":299228,"journal":{"name":"2014 International Conference on Information and Communication Technology Convergence (ICTC)","volume":"15 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-12-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134512657","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The receiver consists of a fully differential envelop detector and a limiting amplifier. The measured receiver shows 32 dB peak gain at -28 dBm input power level. The sensitivity of the receiver is measured -25 dBm under 3 Gbps data rate. The proposed receiver is fabricated with 65nm CMOS process and its measured power consumption is only 4.3 mW. The Cloud Service Platform is designed to target to the communication and collaboration domain so that it provides service components having functionalities such as Email, short messaging, file cloud, third-party call, wiki, and etc. Therefore application developers can utilize these service functionalities by requesting the resources using HTTP methods outside the Cloud Service Platform (CSP). Therefore, the access to service components plugged into the CSP should be managed and the authorization process for the requesting applications is needed. We specify the relationship between applications and service components using service key, which is the unique identifier for an application and a service component. In addition, we define additional HTTP headers for authorization of the requesting application and utilize these headers for access control to service components. In this paper, we introduce the Cloud Service Platform and describe the mechanism of the access control management for service components on the Cloud Service Platform.","PeriodicalId":299228,"journal":{"name":"2014 International Conference on Information and Communication Technology Convergence (ICTC)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-12-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130788433","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A novel sparse channel estimatior using iterative half thresholding algorithm based on L1/2 regularization is proposed. Compared with the traditional greedy pursuit and L1 regularization, the merit of the new method is twofold. Firstly, the new method has robust capacity to combat the observation noise. Secondly, it can deeply exploits the sparsity of the channel to reduce the number of pilots and hence raises the spectral efficiency. Simulation results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.","PeriodicalId":299228,"journal":{"name":"2014 International Conference on Information and Communication Technology Convergence (ICTC)","volume":"88 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-12-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114860010","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
