This paper introduces the performance analysis and simulation of PSS in the thermal power cluster of LCC HVDC in AC-DC hybrid system. The transmission characteristics of disturbances in AC and DC systems are also discussed. Finally, based on the actual project, the ±500kV AC-DC hybrid system with six thermal power machines project of PSCAD is established. Three typical disturbances cases are simulated and discussed, which are the single-pole fault in the DC side, AC line fault and continuous disturbance on the machine side. In order to determine the level of the test, it is necessary to analyze the magnetic field distribution at the sub-module driving board of the VSC valve. This paper analyzes the transfer process of the current in the sub-module when the 500kV VSC valve is in normal operation, establishes its magnetic field calculation model, and builds a double-pulse test platform. The error of the magnetic field value is less than 10%, which verifies the validity of the model. The model is used to predict the magnetic field waveform characteristics of the sub-module driving board when the 500kV VSC valve has a normal flow of 3kA. At the same time, the magnetic field contribution of the adjacent sub-modules to the central sub-module is analyzed. To diagnose the SM open-circuit fault in MMC, this paper proposes a fault detection and location (FDL) method based on machine learning (ML). According to the open-circuit fault characteristics, the SM capacitor voltages are selected as the key indicator for anomaly detection model. A method of time-domain feature extraction from voltages is then introduced to construct the dataset for the model. After trained with the samples, the model based on multivariate Gaussian distribution can realize FDL by making predictions for anomaly detection and tracing back the predicted faulty SM. The proposed method can locate the faulty SM accurately without extra sensors or mathematical model of circuit. This paper presents a new real-time warning method for lightning trip based on the combination of lightning location system, transmission line data and GA-BP neural network technology. Firstly, the factors affecting line tripping are determined and input data are preprocessed. Then, a lightning trip prediction model based on GA-BP neural network is established. The total number of lightning trips can be predicted by summing up the results of all the intervals of the line to be warned. Finally, according to the classification standard of early warning, the lightning trip warning of the whole line is realized. The example shows that the correct classification rate is 80%, the accuracy rate is 86.67%, the false alarm rate and the leakage alarm rate are 23.53% and 13.33% respectively. Given the harsh working condition of high voltage and large current, the reliability of PPI is extremely important for the stability of the power system. PPI is composed of multiple parallel sub-modules and the internal temperature distribution of the device is uneven for the problems of the manufacturing process, loop parasitic parameters, and thermal coupling. The differences in junction temperature will cause uneven distribution of static current among sub-modules, which aggravates partially aging of PPI. Then the effect of control loops on the dc impedance of MMC are further analyzed. Moreover, this paper provides a deep discussion about the effect of four circulating current suppressing controller (CCSC) strategies in terms of impedance and stability. It is revealed that dc impedance of MMC differs from TL-VSC in most control modes due to the complex internal dynamics. It also turns out that dc voltage control loop introduces negative damping effect which can be reduced by increasing proportional and decoupling coefficients of CCSC or decreasing proportional coefficient of dc voltage control loop. The fabrication and application of d-FGM are based on the adjustable dielectric constant of composites, while the composite materials have excellent electrical insulation performance. The interfacial interactions between nanoparticles and matrix play a key role in the above issue. Herein, perfluorosilane (FAS-17) was adopted to modify the surface of nano-BaTiO3particles, and BaTiO3/UV-cured resin composites were prepared. The modified particles were characterized by FT-IR, XPS, TGA and water contact angle. The effects of surface-treated BaTiO3particles on the dielectric constant, dielectric loss and volume resistivity of photosensitive composites were systematically studied. The results show that the molecule of silane coupling agent (FAS-17) is chemically grafted on the surface of BaTiO3. Meanwhile, the field strength distribution inside the DC cable under high temperature environment was simulated. During the actual operation, discharges between capacitor screens occur from time to time, in addition to the screen edges, a certain number of breakdown occur in the middle of screens. For this reason, according to the radial section of a real bushing core, the deformation in the middle screens was analyzed, the curing shrinkage deformation model of the dry-type bushing core was established, and the causes were analyzed. Subsequently, to determine the effect of deformation in the middle of the capacitor screen on the distribution of electric field between capacitor screens, a simulation model of electric field with deformation in the middle of screens was established, and the effect of different deformation on the electric field was studied. The results show that the poor local impregnation results in the deformation in the middle of screens toward the center of alumina tube.
