This paper introduces the performance analysis and simulation of PSS in the thermal power cluster of LCC HVDC in AC-DC hybrid system. The transmission characteristics of disturbances in AC and DC systems are also discussed. Finally, based on the actual project, the ±500kV AC-DC hybrid system with six thermal power machines project of PSCAD is established. Three typical disturbances cases are simulated and discussed, which are the single-pole fault in the DC side, AC line fault and continuous disturbance on the machine side.
