Thus, the present study investigates the connection between destination image and travel motivation that marketers must comprehend and focus on establishing ecotourism in Bangladesh. Despite a growing number of works on destination image, there has been little investigation on the relationship between travel motivation. This study aims to evaluate the effect of destination image and travel motivation on tourists’ selection of ecotourism destinations. Therefore, it utilised a structured survey aimed at visitors during their on-site experiences, unlike earlier studies that mainly focused on identifying destination characteristics. Using SPSS-SEM, the suggested structural model was evaluated using a sample of 326 tourists from various Bangladesh’s ecotourism destinations. The results confirmed that cognitive and affective destination images significantly influence travel motivation. It also indicates a better understanding of the relationship and significant managerial implications for destination marketing managers.","PeriodicalId":298661,"journal":{"name":"American Journal of Economics and Business Innovation","volume":"23 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-08-11","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115667880","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The main objective of this study is to investigate if there exists long-run purchasing power parity in the long run between the Asian economies and developed economies. This will help to understand the long-run exchange rate determination in these countries and helps to make effective monetary policies. This study tests the long-run PPP relationships between Asian economies (China, Japan, Singapore) with the UK and the US respectively. It is important to observe whether PPP holds between Asian economies and the economies of the UK and US by using time-series analysis respectively. Johansen Cointegration test is used to examine the relative PPP among these countries on full sample and sub-samples before and after the global financial crisis respectively. In full sample and subsamples, the Cointegration results show that PPP holds Asian economies (China, Japan, and Singapore) with the UK and the US respectively. This study finds significant evidence to accept that PPP holds which implies that the domestic prices of Asian economies are influenced by the US and UK prices and it explains a significant amount of variation in their domestic prices and inflation.","PeriodicalId":298661,"journal":{"name":"American Journal of Economics and Business Innovation","volume":"13 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-07-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121469722","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A descriptive survey research design was employed in the study. The population for the study entailed 1, 318 NCE business education student-teachers from two out of the four colleges of education in Delta State. The sample size of this study constituted 659 NCE business education student-teachers from two colleges of education in Delta State, which was selected at 50% using the proportionate stratified random sampling. Mean scores and standard deviation were used to analyze data in this study and all hypotheses were tested on an alpha level (α) of 0.05 significance using a t-test. The findings revealed that student-teachers showcased strong readiness and positive attitudes towards utilization of the information and communication technology in studying business education in COEs in Delta State. However, the findings revealed that the student-teachers did not possess the requisite skills in different aspects of computer packages for utilization of the information and communication technology in studying business education in COEs in Delta State. From these findings, recommendations were proffered, and among them included that: the various institutional leadership in the colleges of education such as the Provosts, Deans, and Head of Departments (HODs), should support students' readiness and preparedness for the use of ICT in studying business education at the colleges of education. This can be achieved through ICT facility provisions, adequate funding, infrastructural development, and private sector support and encouragement.","PeriodicalId":298661,"journal":{"name":"American Journal of Economics and Business Innovation","volume":"51 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-04-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133682590","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Indian Himalayas has a significant role in attracting tourists but is limited to already explored destinations. In the Western Himalayas, Shimla is among globally famous tourist destinations. The study area was Shimla, and data were collected from 299 tourists. Shimla was the summer capital of British India. Presently this city is the capital of the North-Indian state of Himachal Pradesh, India. The data collection tool, i.e., the structured questionnaire, had questions about the demographic profile, push-pull factors, travel barriers to visiting Srinagar, and facilities preferences. The results were interpreted to explore the profile of tourists visiting a Himalayan destination, i.e., Shimla. It was found that generation Y tourists have a majority among tourists who visit Shimla, and pull factors were nature, adventure, and culture. While, security and distance (both geographical & cultural) are travel barriers that are absent in parallel with Shimla. In the case of facility preferences, two groups emerged, one with a preference for a cultural experience and the other group lacking the same. The facilities considered were the type of accommodation, transportation, and food.","PeriodicalId":298661,"journal":{"name":"American Journal of Economics and Business Innovation","volume":"86 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-04-13","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131869568","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The estimated Poisson regression analysis result showed that the visit rate of the visitors was significantly predicted by their round-trip. Likewise, as per the regression analysis output result proved that various variables like income level, age, years of schooling and dummy variables perceived park quality, place of residence, sex and employment status of visitors and average stay hours in the park significantly predicted the WTP of the respondent visitors. Similarly, based on stated willingness to pay for the park entry fee, the existing fee is far below than their WTP. This evidence indicates that Tikapur Banglow Park (TBP) bestows huge benefits to the whole society. There should be comprehensive reform project to avail timely adequate park service so as to raise utility from the park.","PeriodicalId":298661,"journal":{"name":"American Journal of Economics and Business Innovation","volume":"49 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-03-09","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132416464","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The study adopts a quantitative method by surveying 498 respondents located in different states in Malaysia. Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) is adopted in this study to measure the moderating effect of demographic variables. The analysis results showed that saving behavior has significantly influenced the plan's preferences while the spending behavior did not. Besides, demographic variables play a role as a moderator in the relationship between saving and the retirement plan. Overall, this research findings reveal that gender, age, and income level were important in determining individual saving behavior and preparation for retirement. An effort to increase awareness of retirement preparation should be enforced on various age groups among citizens to reduce the problem of insufficient funds among retirees. There are no pellucid statistics of the total number of illegal Zimbabweans residing in South Africa. Some of the undocumented Zimbabweans have been exposed to forced labour as well as underpayment in the labour industry due to lack of legal work documents. This research sought to examine the labour/ employment relations of Zimbabweans in South Africa. Two theories were examined and these are Stouffer’s Theory of Mobility, and E. Ravenstein's laws of migration. A qualitative approach was used and the findings were drawn from the documentary analysis. The findings proved that the key challenges faced in the labour sector by Zimbabwean migrants in South Africa are fear of deportation, difficulties in securing working visas, lack of access to legal help, accommodation issues, xenophobia, marginalisation, segregation, discrimination, irregular incomes, short maternity leave, zero maternity leave benefits, non -payment of salaries, under payment of wages as well lack of work permits. In terms of policy recommendations, it was suggested that, regional cooperation on Zimbabwe Reconstruction, monitoring of the labour market, legal assistance and human rights groups, improvement in bilateral relations and diplomacy can be helpful to alleviate some of the challenges faced by Zimbabweans on South Africa.","PeriodicalId":298661,"journal":{"name":"American Journal of Economics and Business Innovation","volume":"8 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-03-03","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125455643","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The severe competition of e-wallet services has forced providers where satisfaction is of prime concern. A total of 480 data were obtained from the respondents living in Dhaka city. The structure of this study was developed by approaching the TAM model, and Structural Equation Modeling was applied to examine all the hypotheses. Results revealed that technology self-efficacy is one of the exigent factors of satisfaction where a positive relationship exists in between. All the hypotheses were found to be significant except the relationship between perceived usefulness and satisfaction. This study has validated external variables to contribute to the existing theory based on the previous literature. Lastly, in order to promote the enhancement of the mobile payment system, proposals for developing e-payments were made to increase the degree of satisfaction.","PeriodicalId":298661,"journal":{"name":"American Journal of Economics and Business Innovation","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-02-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128887915","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
