As known, the traditional correlation interferometer direction finding system cannot accurately determine the direction of the direct wave, when the wave is mixed with the reflected signals. As an important part of this system, the antenna is improved to solve this problem. The phased-array antenna consists of two sets of $6times 6$ array antennas, seventy-two phase shifters, fourteen power dividers and a switch circuit. Each $6times 6$ array antennas is composed of thirty-six vivaldi antennas. The two sets of $6times 6$ array antennas are placed orthogonally to each other, so the vertical polarization and horizontal polarization are achieved. Each vivaldi antenna is followed by a phase shifter in order to achieve beam scanning. The six-way power divider has a current amplitude ratio of 0.32:0.6918:1:1:0.6918:0.32 according to the principle of Taylor array. The switch circuit is applied to choose polarization mode. The simulation results show that the −10 dB bandwidth of the antenna is extended covers X-band from 9.6 to 11.1 GHz, gain of the antenna is more than 20dB, and the side-lobe is 13.7dB, 14.0dB and 13.2dB lower than the main lobe in directivity diagram of the E-plane at 10GHz when the electrical scanning is 0deg, 10deg and 20deg, respectively. It is suitable for application of X-band phased-array antenna.","PeriodicalId":297368,"journal":{"name":"2018 12th International Symposium on Antennas, Propagation and EM Theory (ISAPE)","volume":"148 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132279844","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The response of the Earth's ionosphere to geomagnetic storms is a rather complicated event. In this study, the low-latitude ionospheric response in the 70°-140°E geographic longitude (GLON) sector (i.e., the Asian sector) to the 26 August 2018 geomagnetic storm have been investigated by using in situ electron density (Ne) measurements probed by the Swarm satellites during the period 15 August-6 September 2018. This large geomagnetic storm began at 21 UT on 25 August 2018 and ended after 21 UT on 27 August 2018. We found that the low-latitude Ne increased dramatically on 26 August 2018 compared to that in the previous few days. Moreover, the low-latitude Ne decreased gradually since 27 August 2018, and returned to normal value on 1 September 2018. The observed positive storm effects (namely, the sudden increase of the low-latitude ionospheric Ne) on 26 August 2018 are very likely to be caused by the prompt penetration electric field (PPEF). And the gradual recovery of the low-latitude ionospheric Ne to the normal value during the period 27 August–1 September 2018 may be caused by the disturbance dynamo electric field (DDEF).","PeriodicalId":297368,"journal":{"name":"2018 12th International Symposium on Antennas, Propagation and EM Theory (ISAPE)","volume":"57 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127623098","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A hybrid propagation model is used to describe the propagation characteristics, and the property of the transition points between different propagation models (regions) are analyzed by the waveguide modal method. Here, the rectenna with two $50-mathbf{Omega}$ microstrip-fed ports are designed to realize both right-hand and left-hand circular polarization. Good isolation is achieved by reasonably adjusting the radius of the annular slots and the length of the feed microstrip. A prototype is manufactured and tested. Measured results are in reasonably good agreement with the simulated ones, exhibiting a 3-dB AR beam-width as wide as 120° for both LHCP and RHCP. The measured polarization isolation is better than 20dB at 2.4GHz and reflection coefficient is better than 15 dB within the working band. In addition, the 3-dB ARBW is approximately 6.25% (2.32-2.48 GHz).","PeriodicalId":297368,"journal":{"name":"2018 12th International Symposium on Antennas, Propagation and EM Theory (ISAPE)","volume":"33 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133734380","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Based on the test data of the wall and ground surfaces at different incident angles at 28 GHz, the distribution of the scattering signals of the millimeter wave at different incident angles is obtained, then the scattering characteristics of the wall and the ground surfaces are analyzed. The results show that there is not only a diffuse scattering phenomenon near the direction of the specular reflection on both the wall and the ground surfaces, but also in other directions. So it is especially important to introduce diffuse scattering in the ray tracing method.","PeriodicalId":297368,"journal":{"name":"2018 12th International Symposium on Antennas, Propagation and EM Theory (ISAPE)","volume":"1184 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133842642","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Therefore, it needs an accurate model of EMI filter to predict its attenuation characteristic for more easily improving performance in design step. In this paper, we proposed respectively differential-mode and common-mode models for EMI filter. We used the method of impedance curve fitting to extract the parasitic parameters of the equivalent circuits, and used the electromagnetic finite element simulation to analyze and obtain the near-field coupling coefficients in the EMI filter. Finally, we used the comparison between simulated and measured S21 parameters to verify the accuracy of modeling methods for EMI filter.","PeriodicalId":297368,"journal":{"name":"2018 12th International Symposium on Antennas, Propagation and EM Theory (ISAPE)","volume":"18 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124390806","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Since the calculation of secondary scattering is very complicated, this paper selects the simplest dihedral structure as the research target. Based on ray tracing method combined with Monte Carlo method, three typical materials including white paint, grass green paint and coated material are selected. Calculate the results of three different materials combination on the two faces of the dihedral structure, and obtain the LRCS single, secondary scattering results in three cases. It is concluded that in the dihedral structure, if one of the faces is a mirror-like material, the effect of the secondary scattering on the whole can be neglected. If it is a dihedral angle composed of a Lambertian surface or a normal rough surface, the effect of secondary scattering on the population cannot be ignored.","PeriodicalId":297368,"journal":{"name":"2018 12th International Symposium on Antennas, Propagation and EM Theory (ISAPE)","volume":"16 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114818414","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
