Multi-stage sampling procedure was used to select a total of 180 respondents for the study while structured interview schedule was used to collect quantitative data. Data collected were analyzed using percentages and frequencies while hypotheses were tested using Chi-square, multiple regression model (MRM) and Correlation. Results showed that the mean age of respondents was 38±5years, mean household size was 6±2 persons, mean year of formal education was 15±2 years and mean monthly income was ₦45,000±23,000. Results showed that 68.7percent of the respondents indicated moderate level of involvement in oil palm processing entrepreneurial activities; 25.3percent indicated high level of involvement while very few (6.0%) indicated low level of involvement respectively. Further results showed that household size (r = 0.224; p ≤ 0.01) and years of formal education (r = 0.211; p ≤ 0.01) had positive and significant relationship with involvement in oil palm processing entrepreneurial activities. It was concluded from the study that majority of the respondents indicated moderate level of involvement in oil palm processing entrepreneurial activities in the study area.","PeriodicalId":293448,"journal":{"name":"FOOD & AGRIBUSINESS MANAGEMENT","volume":"36 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128975507","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This commodity has been marketed domestically and also exported to various countries. Its success cannot be separated from the marketing strategy carried out by the palm sugar industries. The purpose of this study was to determine the strategy of segmentation, targeting, and marketing mix of the palm sugar industries in Banyumas Regency. The method used is a qualitative research which is analyzed with an interactive model. The results of this study indicate that there are similarities in marketing strategies in segmentation strategies, targeting between industries and slight differences in marketing mix strategies.","PeriodicalId":293448,"journal":{"name":"FOOD & AGRIBUSINESS MANAGEMENT","volume":"156 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126062365","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

For analysis, the necessary information was collected from 345 farmers residing in Phultala Upazila of Khulna division, Bangladesh with structured questionnaires. A simple random sampling technique was applied for data collection. In the bivariate setup, the association between the adoption status of IPM and possible contributing factors was examined by performing a chi-square test. A multivariable logistic regression was applied in a multivariate setup. The estimates of the model provide evidence that farmers’ education level, farm size, training status on IPM, membership status of IPM club and farmer’s field school have significant effects on farmers’ adoption behavior of IPM. The findings call for greater attention on the part of the government for increasing farmers’ education level, facilitating more training programs and arranging several motivational seminars on IPM at the primary level.","PeriodicalId":293448,"journal":{"name":"FOOD & AGRIBUSINESS MANAGEMENT","volume":"42 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116461242","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Copper deficiency hurts lambing percentage and lamb health. Manganese is required for the ovarian activity to be maintained. Protein is necessary for sheep for optimum sperm capacitation, conception rate, pregnancy, and reduced abortions. Protein insufficiency causes lower feed intake, poorer feed utilization, lower growth rate, lower milk output, and lower wool production. A possible reason for the decline in adult reproductive function is nutritionally impaired ovarian development. Functional impairment in any component of the hormone complex has a direct impact on reproduction. Factors such as photoperiod, nutrition, and social sexual cues, genetics, affect the reproductive capacity of both male and female sheep. In mammals, reproduction is energetically more demanding for the females than for the males.","PeriodicalId":293448,"journal":{"name":"FOOD & AGRIBUSINESS MANAGEMENT","volume":"3 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116677048","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
