Unfortunately, the criteria fails to cope with low SNR region and make the decoder iterates until maximum or infinite iteration. This paper proposed an early termination technique at low SNR for the CE-based stopping criteria using the decoding threshold derived by the measurement of reliability (MOR) at low SNR. In the simulation results and analysis, we compare the average iteration number (AIN) and the bit-error rate (BER) performance between the proposed combination methods with the existing CE-based stopping criteria. From the results, the combination method capable to reduce the AIN at low SNR with minimum one AIN while maintaining the AIN at high SNR as the traditional method. This significant reduction could reduce delay and complexity of existing CE-based stopping criteria while maintaining the BER performances.","PeriodicalId":292057,"journal":{"name":"TENCON 2014 - 2014 IEEE Region 10 Conference","volume":"72 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129213789","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The operation of proposed method is based on synchronously rotating reference frame which provides fast and accurate voltage sag detection. a proposed fast single-phase voltage sag detection uses the differentiator as a (-90)-degree phase shifter to produce an orthogonal AC voltage (Vβ) from existing grid voltage (Vα) and convert these voltages to the DC voltages (Vd, Vq) by using of αβ-dq transformation (Park transformation). Finally the sag signal can be generated by these DC voltages (Vd, Vq). The voltage sag can be recognized by the proposed method in a very short time in every condition of voltage sags. When it is integrated to the voltage sag compensation system, the voltage sag can be compensated in a very short time due to fast detection and the load voltage is slightly affected from the voltage sag event.","PeriodicalId":292057,"journal":{"name":"TENCON 2014 - 2014 IEEE Region 10 Conference","volume":"14 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125603593","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The evolutionary optimization algorithm like real coded genetic algorithm (RGA) and particle swarm optimization (PSO) is used to get the optimal radiation pattern by controlling the switching time sequence of each element of the array. The time modulation period is divided into numerous minimal time steps, where the ON-OFF status for each time step is optimized by evolutionary algorithms. The side lobe level of time modulated linear antenna arrays can be reduced significantly by optimal switching time sequence of each element. The approach is illustrated through 16 element time modulated linear antenna arrays. Various results are presented to show the advantages of this approach considering maximal side lobe level reduction.","PeriodicalId":292057,"journal":{"name":"TENCON 2014 - 2014 IEEE Region 10 Conference","volume":"17 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121931464","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The proposed structure employs two electronically tunable second-generation current conveyors, two grounded capacitors and three grounded resistors which is suitable for integrated circuit implementation. Unlike previously oscillators, both the condition of oscillation and the frequency of oscillation of the proposed oscillator can be controlled using resistors and/or current-gain of ECCII. The circuit provides two quadrature current outputs and two quadrature voltage outputs. The current output terminals also possess high-impedance level which can be directly connected to the next stage without additional buffer circuits. Not only can this technique locates the robot's position, but it can also align its heading with respect to the selected target while navigating along the pre-defined trajectory. With a certain configuration of odometry omni-directional wheels, rotational readings from three encoders attached to these odometry wheels provide linear and angular velocities of the mobile robot. Integrating these velocities would result in position and heading of the mobile robot. As a result, the mobile robot becomes a complete holonomic system. Furthermore, navigation algorithm is illustrated for two cases namely point-to-point and multi-point schemes. Three experimental results are conducted to verify the effectiveness of this algorithm.","PeriodicalId":292057,"journal":{"name":"TENCON 2014 - 2014 IEEE Region 10 Conference","volume":"25 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132121673","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

From the methodological point of view, such model should facilitate the representation of multidimensional XML data and the associated structures in order to perform OLAP in XML based DW. Thus a systematic transformation mechanism is essential to represent the conceptual level XML based DW schema in equivalent XSD at the logical level. This paper has proposed a rule based transformation mechanism for systematic transformation of a graph semantic based conceptual model for XML based DW (GXDW model) schema into the equivalent XML Schema Definitions (XSD). This is also capable to render a unified representation of GXDW model using XML based techniques to apprehend different logical schemas of DW like star, snowflake, and constellation etc. The expressive power of the proposed approach has been illustrated using suitable examples.","PeriodicalId":292057,"journal":{"name":"TENCON 2014 - 2014 IEEE Region 10 Conference","volume":"19 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134150437","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
