In order to reduce time and cost constraints, we are currently involved in the development of a new method for the design of sheet metal forming tools. The core of this method is a new graphical modelling language coupled with intelligent user interactions; thus making the modelling of complex relations easier and less error prone in the field of designing sheet metal forming tools.","PeriodicalId":291570,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 17th International Conference on Computer Systems and Technologies 2016","volume":"58 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-06-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130981997","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

GPS does not work inside buildings. Therefore, researchers look for alternative approaches. On the other hand, mobile devices have become high-performance devices with sensors that allow them to integrate important functionality. This paper deals with the Bluetooth technology, discussing Beacon transmitters as an appropriate means for the needs of indoor navigation. The paper also presents method applicable for the purpose of internal navigation using a combination of Beacon transmitters and mobile sensors. Our approach has two main parts. The first part deals with calculating the user's localization in the building using trilateration, respectively multilateration. The second part of the method serves to validate the first part by using mobile sensors. We experimented with different input parameters to achieve higher accuracy.","PeriodicalId":291570,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 17th International Conference on Computer Systems and Technologies 2016","volume":"18 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-06-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132471274","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The method is increasingly being applied at university level. It has been implemented with varying approaches and guidelines, and a single unified process has not been described. In this article we compare existing literature to two case studies where flipped classroom was introduced to teaching. We discuss the lessons learned in these cases and present recommendations based on our experiences. Flipping the classroom has been found to be more efficient than traditional lecture-exercises method and the findings in this study support this. Therefore we recommend teachers to explore the possibility of utilizing the flipped classroom method in their courses.","PeriodicalId":291570,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 17th International Conference on Computer Systems and Technologies 2016","volume":"11 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-06-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122114150","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Its principal users are the old people, normally in their retirement age. They are given physical activity challenges as well as mental challenge and an option to participate in events with their peers. The secondary users are medical practitioners who provide exercises suitable to the health status of the participants. Results of the activities are also evaluated by medical personnel. New challenges are designed based on results of previous ones. The beta version of the system is initially tested with five specimen participants. The results of preliminary evaluation based on one-month test with participants indicated that their autonomy and health conditions improve with participation in serious gaming.","PeriodicalId":291570,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 17th International Conference on Computer Systems and Technologies 2016","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-06-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130251967","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The development of serious game is a process that requires game and instructional design. Constructionist environments and games are becoming more popular in the last years because of the importance of Computational Thinking to develop problem solving skills. Despite this popularity, there is a lack of available game engines and frameworks to develop this kind of games. This paper proposes a game engine architecture to support the affordable development of constructionist games. The game engine specification describes components of game, instructional and constructionist elements as a low-level definition that facilitates direct implementation. A serious game built upon this specification and used by 96 students is also presented in this paper. This validation provided some future work ideas, as an editor tool, SDK and API.","PeriodicalId":291570,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 17th International Conference on Computer Systems and Technologies 2016","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-06-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128941947","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The majority indoor navigation systems use graph-based models to represent building connectivity. Graph-based (macroscopic) path finding usually uses only centroid of the spaces and connection information between spatial objects when calculating a feasible path. These path-finding strategies cannot be directly used indoors, especially for visually impaired people. They implement door-by-door navigation, but they do not give information about how the user has to go through a room until he or she reaches the next door and they do not support obstacle avoidance. This paper presents an approach for fast microscopic (physical) path finding, which is part of three-level (coarse-to-fine-to-optimal) path planning strategy.","PeriodicalId":291570,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 17th International Conference on Computer Systems and Technologies 2016","volume":"4 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-06-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"117053511","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

There are many systems in this family, and they are indeed very different from one another, both in the way they allow data to be organized and in the functions they support. As a consequence, many of the NoSQL advocates claim that the traditional notions of model and modeling are not relevant in this area. We argue that, nevertheless, some data modeling issues can be useful, and illustrate two research directions in which we have been involved. First, we show that, as the variety of systems and models can create difficulties in developers and in their organizations, modeling-based approach leverage the search for standardization and uniform access. Second, we argue that data models can provide a basis to the definition of generic approaches to logical and physical design.","PeriodicalId":291570,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 17th International Conference on Computer Systems and Technologies 2016","volume":"205 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-06-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131002325","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

But it proves that this facility is hardly used by students. Social media are used by students on a large scale but the topic of conversation is usually out of the study domain. The challenge of educators is to motivate students to use social media for study goals. In this paper we present an analysis of the use of social media by students in their technical study and results of experiments to increase the use of social media.","PeriodicalId":291570,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 17th International Conference on Computer Systems and Technologies 2016","volume":"27 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-06-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114364119","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Although some methods and recommendations have been proposed to resource models and resource allocation, there is little effort to extended resource model and dynamic resource allocation. This paper proposes a novel approach, in which an extended resource model is defined and resource allocation is performed dynamically before execution of an activity, but not before execution of all BP. To support dynamic resource allocation in the context of rule- and context-based dynamic BP instances running concurrently, a priority and rules are used to deal with resource conflicts. The effectiveness of the proposed approach is evaluated with a simulation scenario, and the simulation results indicate that the proposed resource model is suitable for simulating of rule- and context-based dynamic BP.","PeriodicalId":291570,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 17th International Conference on Computer Systems and Technologies 2016","volume":"46 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-06-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"117136933","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
