A directed network can represent a neural signal flow that living systems have. To understand the network, the authors extract two types of community structure by converting directed network of C.elegans into bipartite network. The extracted community structure and its connections give some properties of communities. Namely, the neural network of C.elegans has 12 and 10 deeply correlated communities and many single size communities. Also, it has many small collecting communities and a few large repeating communities in itself.","PeriodicalId":289669,"journal":{"name":"Int. J. Artif. In the past, there was much debate on whether the acquisition and subsequent transfer of spatial knowledge from VEs to the real world is possible, or whether the differences in medium during training would essentially be an obstacle to truly learning geometric space. In this paper, the authors present various cognitive and environmental factors that not only contribute to this process, but also interact with each other to a certain degree, leading to a variable exposure time requirement in order for the process of spatial knowledge acquisition SKA to occur. The cognitive factors that the authors discuss include a variety of individual user differences such as: knowledge and experience; cognitive gender differences; aptitude and spatial orientation skill; and finally, cognitive styles. Environmental factors discussed include: Size, Spatial layout complexity and landmark distribution. It may seem obvious that since every individual's brain is unique-not only through experience, but also through genetic predisposition that a one size fits all approach to training would be illogical. Furthermore, considering that various cognitive differences may further emerge when a certain stimulus is present e.g. complex environmental space, it would make even more sense to understand how these factors can impact spatial memory, and to try to adapt the training session by providing visual/auditory cues as well as by changing the exposure time requirements for each individual. The impact of this research domain is important to VE training in general, however within service and military domains, guaranteeing appropriate spatial training is critical in order to ensure that disorientation does not occur in a life or death scenario.","PeriodicalId":289669,"journal":{"name":"Int. In this novel HMI, an Emotive EPOC sensor is deployed to detect facial expressions and head movements of users, which are then recognized and converted to four uni-modal control modes and two bi-modal control modes to operate the wheelchair. Nine facial expressions and up-down head movements have been defined and tested, so that users can select some of these facial expressions and head movements to form the six control commands. The proposed HMI is user-friendly and allows users to select one of available control modes according to their comfort. Experiments are conducted to show the feasibility and performance of the proposed HMI.","PeriodicalId":289669,"journal":{"name":"Int. J. Artif. The data acquisition system constructed is capable of measuring the cell voltage and the current through the cell under program control at pre-decided intervals. This allows for the measurement of the dynamic electrical resistance of the electrodeposition cell. The system is based on standard analogue to digital controller ADC interfaced to the computer through the printer port.","PeriodicalId":289669,"journal":{"name":"Int. J. Artif. It was possible by enabling the use of well-tested approaches of machine translation. The humanly evaluated and acceptable metrics like fluency and adequacy F&A were used to assess the best translation quality for English to Hindi language pair. Besides humanly-judged metrics, another well-tested and existing interactive version of Bi-Lingual Evaluation Understudy iBLEU was used for evaluation. In the authors' model diverse behaviors of individuals are mutually anticipated to give rise to robust collective behavior. Because a swarm is generated due to inherent perturbation, a swarm can be maintained even under highly perturbed conditions. Thus, the model reveals robust rather than stable collective behavior. The authors elaborate behavior of the model with respect to density and polarization. The authors show that mutual anticipation structure can be expressed as a fixed point with respect to a particular operation derived by equivalence relation, a collection of the fixed points can form a particular algebraic structure, called a lattice, and a swarm as a mobile network can be characterized by the structure of a lattice.","PeriodicalId":289669,"journal":{"name":"Int.
