The study was performed on a sample of 12 male volleyball players (Category: Under 20). Data were collected in two periods (September and October), subjecting the players to intensive technical and physical work. At the beginning of the training period anthropometrics data (weight, height, BMI, reach to one hand) and the values at the vertec jump test were collected. Each player carried out 90 float services (3 series of 30 float serves, respectively to specific areas of the opponent's field 1-6-5) to check out if there is continuity of precision towards the three zones or if there is a significant difference. The results show, after four weeks of intensive training, an improvement in jumping ability at the Vertec test. It is hypothesized a not significant difference in the performance by the group of players, in terms of precision, towards the three opposing areas and a positive difference in pre-training (September) and post-training (October) performances. The monitoring of the training process will allow to estimate the effects induced through the use of physical and motor tests, allowing the coaches to design and choose the methodology and the appropriate training load, for an effective performance.","PeriodicalId":288462,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Human Sport and Exercise - 2019 - Spring Conferences of Sports Science","volume":"12 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-10-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115327227","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Nearly 80% of the population is destined for a certain point of life to an entire low back pain. It affects men and women equally; it occurs more often between 30 and 50 years of age; it involves very high individual and social costs, in terms of diagnostic analyses and treatments, reduction in productivity and capacity to carry out daily activities. Over 95% of the problems have a mechanical cause underlying low back pain. The most common causes are the degenerative processes related to eternity in the intervertebral discs and in the facet joints. The aim is, through a survey with a questionnaire, to highlight the differences between subjects who practice physical activity, non-practicing and subjects who attend a postural back gymnastics course. The results show that the subjects subjected to the test, and who practice physical activity, suffer from back pain rarely (61%), the sedentary suffer from it sometimes (50%) and usually (50%). In conclusion, it was shown that the best form of prevention of back pain is physical exercise. The practice of a sport adapted to age and physical conditions serves to maintain good muscle tone, to safeguard bone structures. The sport practice is also useful to learn the correct movements during everyday life such as knowing how to lift a weight correctly from the ground or assume a correct posture.","PeriodicalId":288462,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Human Sport and Exercise - 2019 - Spring Conferences of Sports Science","volume":"6 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-10-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128734039","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A compensatory working hypothesis is urgently needed to mitigate the damage. The aim of the study is to investigate the motivation, thought and self-criticism of athletes on this subject through the case study with the method of administration of a questionnaire that evaluate the propensity to train in the transition period and preference for methodological choices. The administration was done through a special online platform, in total anonymity so as not to incur in false data. The study is submitted to volleyball athletes of different sex and age. The study involved 67 athletes divided into 3 groups: 19 boys aged between 18 and 29 years, 22 girls aged between 13 and 18 years and 26 other girls aged between 19 and 30 years. From the study conducted shows a favourable propensity to continue the activity during this period by athletes preferring group activities over solo activities. And there is a tendency to leave the decision on the planning of activities to the figure of the coach. In conclusion, the study gives an immediate response to the hypothesis of solving the problem by finding fertile ground in the will of the athletes and in any case ascertains the functionality of the method to be adopted for a study with a large and representative sports sample.","PeriodicalId":288462,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Human Sport and Exercise - 2019 - Spring Conferences of Sports Science","volume":"19 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-10-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114939463","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The study aims to show whether specific workouts aimed at developing and consolidating the basic motor patterns then lead to an improvement in performance in basketball, which is not only athletic but also technical and tactical components. Surveys were carried out every two months taking into account the evolutionary phase of the athletes, monitored on height and weight, in some there was an improvement and then a deterioration, while for others there was a constant improvement. This study helps to use the test administration method to monitor the correlation between training and performance activities.","PeriodicalId":288462,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Human Sport and Exercise - 2019 - Spring Conferences of Sports Science","volume":"6 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-10-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123867365","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Therefore, the purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of an 8-week multilateral training program on physical and mental wellbeing. 20 healthy male volunteer policemen (age 46.8 ± 3.9 years) were randomly assigned to experimental group (n=10) that performed a multilateral training program consisting of agility and resistance training, or control group (n=10). At baseline and after 8 weeks, the sources of stress and coping strategies, and the physical and mental state of health perceived were measured by the Occupational Stress Indicator and the Short Form-12, respectively. The comparison of the mean pre/post differences between the groups was assessed by a two-way repeated measures ANOVA (p<0.05). After multilateral intervention, experimental group perceived less stress, showed a more realistic attitude towards the various working situations and a greater perception of physical and mental wellbeing than control group (p<0.05). The findings suggest that a physical education program in the continuing education framework, through the didactic method of multilateral training, could prevent the occupational stress that causes harmful physical and emotional reactions and threatens the quality of life in police officers.","PeriodicalId":288462,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Human Sport and Exercise - 2019 - Spring Conferences of Sports Science","volume":"14 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-10-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125265344","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This is done to assure a better self-awareness, to establish positive and effective relationships, to prevent conflicts and to empathically understand oneself and other people’s feelings. Furthermore, students are digital natives, so they require digitally equipped environments, with which they are familiar from an early age. On the other hand, teachers are digital immigrants, because they have only come in contact with digital devices as adults; as a consequence, they pay the price for the generation gap which distinguishes them from digital natives, whose mindset is more involved in the dynamics of change and whose lives are symbiotically connected to technology. Therefore, teachers need an adequate training for media management in classrooms. This study also wants: 1) to list all the factors that predispose the onset of an ankle injury; 2) describe the different types of ankle injuries; 3) set out guidelines on prevention and post-injury recovery. Finally, we will see how accidents in basketball are almost identical for both professional athletes and occasional practitioners of this discipline. Injuries cannot be completely prevented because given the variability of factors it's really great and it’s almost impossible to make an accurate prediction on a specific joint. Performing specific exercises, however, is a great way to minimize the chance of an injury and consequently increase the physical and mental health of the athlete.","PeriodicalId":288462,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Human Sport and Exercise - 2019 - Spring Conferences of Sports Science","volume":"21 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-10-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124904171","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
