The proposed unit cell consists of a metallic Jerusalem cross resonator, which locates between a pair of orthogonally oriented subwavelength metal gratings. By adjusting the length of the metal resonator, 2-bit codes (including '1-bit reflection and transmission phases) are generated. Next, the entire 25x25-element array fed by a pyramidal horn antenna, which is subjected to the quick response (QR) code, is divided into transmission and reflection distribution. The entire structure of the array is arranged in accordance with the transmission beam toward θ0= 0° and the reflection beam toward θ0 = 160°. The simulated results demonstrate the full-space independent beamforming capability.","PeriodicalId":287986,"journal":{"name":"2021 13th International Symposium on Antennas, Propagation and EM Theory (ISAPE)","volume":"94 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116313381","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The 28 GHz scattering distribution of the rough cement wall surface (RCWS) were acquired by the outdoor environment experiment at different incidence angles in this paper. The measurements reveal that the dlstributions of the scattering signals don't conform to the Lambert distribution used in the conventional ray tracing. The scattering coefficient reaches up to the maximum near the specular direction compared with the Lambert distribution, Moreover the other direction is less than the specular one. The scattering coefficients can be applied to simulate the signal propagation in urban environments to improve the reliability of the system.","PeriodicalId":287986,"journal":{"name":"2021 13th International Symposium on Antennas, Propagation and EM Theory (ISAPE)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125491311","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It is comprised of two pathfinder arrays: the cylinder array with three 15m-wide cylindrical antennas oriented in the north-south direction, and the dish array with 16 dishes of 6m aperture. These arrays observe large area of sky by drift scan. Recently fast radio burst (FRB) backends with digital beam forming capability are installed, which could form 16 beams for the dish array and 96 beams for the cylinder array with the time resolution better than 0.2 millisecond. Therefore, it is important to study the characteristics of the occurrence and variations of GNSS ionospheric scintillation. In the analysis of single-frequency GNSS ionospheric scintillation data, radio frequency interference may be misjudged as amplitude scintillation because radio frequency interference may cause large values of the amplitude scintillation index S4 for the received GNSS signal. In order to minimize the impact of radio frequency interference on GNSS ionospheric scintillation data analysis, ionospheric scintillation measurements of the raw signal power (or carrier-to-noise density ratio) at multiple GNSS frequencies should be used to study the characteristics of the occurrence and variations of GNSS ionospheric scintillation.","PeriodicalId":287986,"journal":{"name":"2021 13th International Symposium on Antennas, Propagation and EM Theory (ISAPE)","volume":"69 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133632277","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The calculated near field in the range less than 100 m is given for free space and half space condition. The field intensity decays with r3, and the magnetic flux intensity of more than 10 fT at 100 m can be obtained for both situations. In this work, a clustering algorithm based on maximum-minimum distance algorithm (MMD) assisted Self-organizing Feature Map (SOM) is proposed, namely, MMD-SOM. Specifically, MMD algorithm is used to initialize the weight of the network, which solves the problem of inadequate network training in traditional SOM caused by randomly setting the initial weights. Furthermore, an output layer is added to the network, which gets over that SOM is easy to be over-trained in the unsupervised situation. The performance of the improved algorithm is evaluated based on the measured and simulated channel data, both numerical simulations and experimental clustering results are provided to demonstrate the effectiveness and robustness of the proposed algorithm.","PeriodicalId":287986,"journal":{"name":"2021 13th International Symposium on Antennas, Propagation and EM Theory (ISAPE)","volume":"88 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131406841","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The variation of the resonance frequency of S21 with the rotation angle is defined as the sensitivity of the sensor. The angle sensing area is pixelated first, then the sensitivity of the sensor as the fitness function is optimized with the binary particle swarm algorithm (BPSO), and finally the sensor that is more sensitive to angle changes is proposed. The simulation results show that the pixelated angle sensor has higher sensitivity than the rectangular CSRR sensor and the circular CSRR sensor of the same size.
