The exponential rise in IoT implementation starts to affect human-to-human communication recently. Furthermore, it is hard to achieve a secure transmission as the microprocessor-based IoT nodes do not have enough computing power. Edge computing in IoT (edge-IoT) promises low bandwidth and secure transmission. Edge-IoT is the ability of a node to perform high computation before sending its data. Thus, instead of sending raw data, an edge node is sending a post-processed the data with much lower bandwidth. An edge-IoT node also can perform a complex encryption computation before the transmission to secure the data. This paper proposes an edge-IoT using field-programmable gate arrays (FPGA) as an IoT node. To realize this vision, LAPAN requires a strategic role in Information Technology (IT). There have been several awards about LAPAN’s efforts in maximizing the role of IT, such as the award from IT Works Magazine “TOP IT on One Data LAPAN Services 2018” and “TOP Digital Transformations Readiness 2018”. This study uses qualitative methods to identify changes in the role of IT, management of pressures resulting from changes in the role of IT, and IT leadership in LAPAN. Data collection was carried out through interviews with the Information Systems Coordinator and Functional Officials of the Center for Aeronautics and Space Information and Communication Technology, and conducting document and literature studies. The result of this research is a shift in the role of IT in LAPAN from the support quadrant to the factory, then to turnaround, and towards strategic. An ICT committee was also formed, which can decide strategic decisions related to IT at LAPAN. This paper presents the design of electrical energy monitoring using the PZEM-004T energy sensor and Raspberry Pi 4 as a web server. The system designed for measuring current, voltage, power, and energy and send it to a database as the purpose for display on infographics web pages in real-time. The web pages interface has a responsive design, so the stored data in the database can access on both desktop and mobile phone for flexibility. Based on the results for various loading, it can be concluded that the design of the electrical energy monitoring device is working well with an average error of less than 2%. Heterogeneous groups have been tested to increase interaction in collaborative learning. This research develops intelligent agents based on genetic algorithms to form heterogeneous groups. The level of group heterogeneity is built based on the student's personality traits. Genetic algorithms are used as a method of intelligence to make diversity within a group. Intelligent agent performance is measured based on heterogeneity, and collaboration performance. Intelligent agent testing produces good scores for heterogeneity and collaboration performance. It can be concluded that intelligent agents are successful in forming heterogeneous groups. As the time progresses, the processing of laundry becomes less practical because customers must visit the laundry place in advance when they want to wash their clothes. The benefit of this laundry application aims to help customers who have high mobility, especially in urban areas and not have much time to come to the laundry. This IoT-based laundry (Internet of Things) Android application is very helpful because customers receive notifications and don't need to process manually, clothes will be carried over automatically by the laundry officers, by applying the Naïve Bayes algorithm which Measures the weight, distance, and moisture levels of the clothing ready to be taken by the laundry personnel, to determine which clothes will be processed first. The problem faced is how to increase agricultural production. In addition, how to reduce the use of pesticides so that they are not harmful to humans. One solution to overcome this problem is to create a smart greenhouse system. Farming in this smart greenhouse system does not use pesticides. This study aims to develop smart greenhouses for hydroponic farming based on the Internet of Thing (IoT). In this study, we also measured the chlorophyll content of mustard leaves grown hydroponically in a greenhouse system to determine the nitrogen status of the mustard plant. The controller unit of this system is the Arduino Mega2560. Data on temperature, humidity, TDS, PH, light, and actuator conditions (pumps, lights, fans, sprayers, and valves) are stored on the real-time database firebase. Data communication between the Arduino Mega2560 and the Firebase platform uses an internet connection via the ESP-01 module. The results showed that all components such as sensors and actuators were functioning properly. One example of authentication that is commonly used is biometric authentication. Biometric authentication possess a high complexity, so if biometric data is used as input, then there is little possibility of errors or forgery. In this study, we implemented a dual authentication system, namely biometric authentication in the form of fingerprints and passwords. The dual authentication system in the laboratory room is intended to improve the security system and facilitate the user in accessing the laboratory room. The experiment was carried out on a proportional small scale prototype consisting of input media in the form of a fingerprint sensor and keypad, an actuator in the form of a door lock solenoid controlled by a relay, and the output media in the form of an LCD and buzzer. By using the fingerprint sensor to scan each user’s unique fingerprint, we can commence the matching fingerprint data entered with the fingerprint data that has been recorded on the embedded system. After the fingerprint authentication process is completed, the password verification process will be continued with the input via the keypad. If the fingerprint and password authentication process is successful (valid), the system is able to open and close the room door automatically. Overcoming traffic jams is a problem that must be faced, especially at certain hours. Therefore, to overcome this, it is necessary to have traffic lights to drive in an orderly manner. To simulate, it can use one simulation software, namely SUMO (Simulation of Urban Mobility). Using simulation software to simulate traffic density at the intersection, it is hoped that it can visualize the traffic intersection state, breaking down the thickness. Using the Simulation of urban mobility software, it is expected to simulate traffic density to break down congestion at traffic intersections with data obtained from the k-NN algorithm data training.
