One way, how to deal with this problem is using connection-oriented, end-to-end reliable protocol. In this paper we focused on several implementations of transmission control protocol, which fulfill the conditions for reliable delivery of information. Tahoe, Reno and New Reno implementation supported by TCP are part of congestion avoidance mechanisms of the protocol suite. The main difference between them is mechanism of detection and reaction on the packet loss. Thus we have tried to evaluate their performance.","PeriodicalId":285174,"journal":{"name":"2009 19th International Conference Radioelektronika","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2009-04-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131125064","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This approach avoids evaluation of the inverse of an autocorrelation matrix of the response of chip matched filter to an input signal and it enables an approximation of a multistage filter by curtailment the number of stages of this multistage Wiener filter. The contribution summarizes alternatives of processing by the individual stages and outlines the direction of the further activity.","PeriodicalId":285174,"journal":{"name":"2009 19th International Conference Radioelektronika","volume":"41 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2009-04-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122841511","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Selected parameters are especially coupling (C), insertion loss (IL), isolation (I), input VSWR and corresponding bandwidth. We investigated various planar ring hybrids realized in microstrip, coplanar waveguide (CPW), conductor-backed coplanar waveguide (CB-CPW), and CPW-slotline technology, respectively. All couplers are designed for center frequency of 3 GHz and 3 dB coupling. Various hybrids were simulated and compared with measured experimental results.","PeriodicalId":285174,"journal":{"name":"2009 19th International Conference Radioelektronika","volume":"83 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2009-04-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124511949","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The atmospheric turbulence causes fades whose duration is typically in the order of tens of milliseconds, which results in the loss of hundreds or thousands of packets. The loss is misinterpreted by the TCP protocol as network congestion and leads to throttling the sender transmission data rate to a fraction of real channel capacity. The proposed Ethernet-to-FSO bridge uses ARQ procedures on the FSO channel to mitigate the packet loss on the link layer. The bridge is based on Xilinx Virtex-5 FPGA with additional memory for buffers. A special link protocol for the FSO path has been designed. FSO frames can carry complete Ethernet frames without fragmentation.","PeriodicalId":285174,"journal":{"name":"2009 19th International Conference Radioelektronika","volume":"24 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2009-04-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134057063","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
