The operation of the proposed PFC converter can be divided into two different modes including Buck mode in positive line cycles and Cuk mode in negative line cycles. Compared with the bridge or bridgeless Buck PFC converter, only half dead zones occur in this proposed PFC converter under the same input and output voltage leading to a higher power factor (PF). This bridgeless PFC converter is designed to work in discontinues conduction mode (DCM). The comparison of performance between the conventional Buck PFC converter and this novel PFC converter has been presented by PSIM simulations and experiments.","PeriodicalId":283114,"journal":{"name":"2016 IEEE 11th Conference on Industrial Electronics and Applications (ICIEA)","volume":"13 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-06-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115494087","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

As the largest on-chip structures, cache memories play an impressive role in microprocessor design. The awareness of cache reliable energy-efficiency is highly important for microprocessor designers, especially at early design stage. The dynamic behavior of cache reliable energy-efficiency has been characterized, motivating the development of predicting reliable energy-efficiency to track runtime characteristics of cache. In this paper, a BART (Bayesian Additive Regression Trees) model is created to predict the reliable energy-efficiency of Level-1 data cache (L1D) accurately across different execution phases and benchmarks, as well as to illustrate the effects of performance metrics on L1D reliable energy-efficiency. Experimental results demonstrate the accuracy of BART in reliable energy-efficiency prediction, and present the intrinsic correlation between reliable energy-efficiency and the key performance metrics.","PeriodicalId":283114,"journal":{"name":"2016 IEEE 11th Conference on Industrial Electronics and Applications (ICIEA)","volume":"17 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-06-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121823783","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Reconfigurable manufacturing system is a new paradigm to enhance the ability to response to the market rapidly and improve the performance rate. Capacity scalability is an important feature for reconfigurable manufacturing system. The effectiveness of an RMS depends on production scheduling and the time to reconfigure. According to the theory of constrains, bottleneck is the main factor to hinder the development of a manufacturing system. So the schedule and the adjustment of production capacity for bottleneck are really important in improving a manufacturing system performance. This paper focuses on the scheduling of bottleneck which can adjust production capacity and develops a model to solve this type problem. An adaptive genetic algorithm is used to solve the model. The aim of the problem is to find out the best schedule and device production capacity. Finally, an example is used to validate the results of the model and its solution procedure.","PeriodicalId":283114,"journal":{"name":"2016 IEEE 11th Conference on Industrial Electronics and Applications (ICIEA)","volume":"49 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-06-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116876993","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Therefore, anintegrity monitoring system is an inseparable part of aviation navigation system. Failures or faults due to malfunctions in the systems should be detected and repaired to keep the integrity of the system intact. In this paper, we present a method based on wavelet analysis for detecting failures. The raw pseudorange measurements are transformed by wavelet transform. Then the data jumping can be detected through the different wavelet scales. Therefore, the satellite fault could be detected. Two kinds of GPS satellite fault detection methods are given in detail, and the advantages and disadvantages of them are compared. Based on the wavelet analysis, the performance of fault detection is evaluated using the real measured data. The effectiveness of the proposed approach is illustrated in a problem of GPS (Global Positioning System) autonomous integrity monitoring system.","PeriodicalId":283114,"journal":{"name":"2016 IEEE 11th Conference on Industrial Electronics and Applications (ICIEA)","volume":"51 19","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-06-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"120819888","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Cloud servers need to have the confidential information mobile and ready in case of cancellation so that the same user can authenticate or identify using the same authentication process when joining to other clouds. However, a cloud server needs to be careful transferring biometric data to other cloud during busy time, since biometric data is sensitive to bit error rate that may adversely affect the false acceptance or rejection rate. As such another key contribution of this paper is to provide a decision making model for biometric/confidential data transfer among clouds in busy time in order to avoid network congestion. The work presented in this research is also a good fit during migration of today's internet into MobilityFirst architecture while biometric information in a locality is being shared by cloud servers and service is being provided at the same time.","PeriodicalId":283114,"journal":{"name":"2016 IEEE 11th Conference on Industrial Electronics and Applications (ICIEA)","volume":"35 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-06-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115989431","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The off-line simulation is carried out in condition of rated load and sudden load. Compared with the classical vector control and traditional predictive current control, the proposed algorithm reaches the given speed rapidly and has the performance of good response and small overshoot.
