The input and output filters of the installation are made of supersized segments of rectangular waveguides with capacitive diaphragms. It is necessary to evaluate the effect of the parameters of the electric circuit on the values of currents and voltages, as well as their rate of rise, in order to determine the requirements for protection devices. An example of an emergency mode is a short-circuit in any section of the electrical circuit of the converter device. The value of the short-circuit current and its rate of rise will be affected by a number of parameters that must be considered together. It is proposed to use the theory of a multifactorial experiment to determine the value of the short-circuit current and its rate of rise from parameters of the electric circuit. The klystron resonator system contains the “tree -like” quasi-fractal double-gap resonators, which contains six drift tubes. Each drift tube has channels for 19 beams that interact with one half-wave of the RF electric field. Resonators are equipped with photonic band gap (PBG) “traps” in the form of clusters of metal and ceramic rods to remove parasitic modes of oscillations. The PBG “trap” discussed here is a cluster of macroscopic metallic/dielectric rods arranged in a periodic lattice. For modeling, analysis and design of a new resonator, we first used the modernized method of movable cellular automata, in which cell growth occurs on a hexagonal fractal grid. The analysis of regulation and load characteristics of the proposed single-phase current inverter with two-channel output voltage regulation was carried out. It showed that the inverter provided high efficiency of regulation and stabilization of the output voltage in a wide range of loads. In this work, we present a review of technological approaches for fabrication of RF structures of µVEDs. Technological approaches to the microfabrication of planar slow-wave structures (SWS) on dielectric substrates operating with a sheet electron beam are considered. Such SWSs are attractive due to the simplicity of the structure, compact dimensions, low voltage operating, and wide bandwidth. We consider lithography-based technology, deep reactive ion etching, computer-numerical-control (CNC) micro- and nano-milling, electrical discharge micromachining, and technologies based on the additive manufacturing such as three-dimensional (3-D) printing, selective laser sintering, and selective laser melting. We also describe an original approach to microfabrication of planar structures based on magnetron sputtering and CNC laser ablation. To improve the convergence of the method and to increase the speed of calculating the algorithm at the interface, we used functions that take into account the behavior of the electromagnetic field near metal ridges. Cherepanov","doi":"10.1109/APEDE48864.2020.9255492","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.1109/APEDE48864.2020.9255492","url":null,"abstract":"A numerical method for modeling of nonlinear effects in the multilayer metasurfaces of rectangular graphene nanoribbons was developed based on the solution of nonlinear diffraction problem for Maxwell's equations, complemented by the model of the nonlinear graphene surface conductivity. The numerical analysis taking into account the third order conductivity of graphene in the presence of high intensity THz field shows an efficient frequency multiplication mechanism in the condition of resonance of the surface plasmon-polariton waves and standing waves due to reflection from dielectric separation layers and graphene ribbon arrays. The normalized power of third-harmonic wave, emitted in the forward (transmission) and the backward (reflection) directions by multilayer graphene nanoribbons metasurfaces as a function of frequency of the incident waves of s- and p-polarization were calculated.
