Son existence est donc liee a la technique du nivellement de precision, ensemble d’operations chiffrees qui permettent de traduire le relief. L’evoquer conduit plus generalement a parler de geodesie, science qui mesure la forme et les dimensions de la Terre. Le maregraphe de Marseille n’est pas seulement un lieu charge d’histoire, c’est egalement une station de surveillance equipee d’appareils modernes qui en font un observatoire essentiel des programmes nationaux et internationaux d’observation du niveau des mers, niveau aujourd’hui a la fois dependant et revelateur des changements climatiques. Le maregraphe de Marseille est enfin un lieu de vulgarisation scientifique dont l’activite merite d’etre conservee et developpee.","PeriodicalId":276007,"journal":{"name":"e-Phaïstos","volume":"64 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-04-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126013529","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Pourtant Culmann le souligne dans la preface de son œuvre : il a pris en compte les etudes conduites par les savants et ingenieurs qui ont ouvert le champ de la statique graphique, notamment Jean-Victor Poncelet (1788-1867), Barthelemy Cousinery (1790-1851), Jakob Steiner (1796-1863). Et, comme il le mentionne egalement, les origines de la statique graphique remontent bien avant. Dans cet article, nous presentons les trois fondements de la statique graphique : i) la composition et la decomposition des forces avec le polygone funiculaire ; ii) les stimuli venus des pratiques de construction ; iii) la dualite forme-force.","PeriodicalId":276007,"journal":{"name":"e-Phaïstos","volume":"18 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-04-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116650246","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Le réalisme de surface est dérangeant, comme en témoignent les reproductions exactes. Le public apprécie plus le réalisme conceptuel que la réalité elle-même, car la valeur artistique exige parfois de s’éloigner de la réalité. Ce graphique illustre « La vallée de l’étrange », c’est-à-dire la relation entre le degré de ressemblance anthropomorphique d’une entité et le sentiment de sympathie qu’elle induit chez l’observateur. Quand on lui ajoute la dimension du mouvement, les pentes de la vallée de l’étrange deviennent plus abruptes. the unreal, conceptual realism, surface realism, and the real. The unreal lacks authenticity; surface realism lacks soul; and the real lacks expressiveness. It is conceptual realism that captivates an audience. Conceptual realism evokes empathy through characterization to let unfolding events drive the emotions. In the commentary that follows, Chikamatsu’s theory is compared with Mori Masahiro’s (1970) concept of the uncanny valley. The uncanny valley predicts affinity for robots and humans but not for robots that appear too human. While both Mori and Chikamatsu probe anthropomorphism, Chikamatsu’s theory can also be used to design interactive technologies that delight.","PeriodicalId":276007,"journal":{"name":"e-Phaïstos","volume":"3 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-04-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114504263","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
