More specific, we investigate trends of marine science and technology manpower at the national level in Korea nurturing policy to forecast mid and long term expert manpower demand and to respond to trends and forecasts of major fields. Cultivation of necessary professionals is an essential prerequisite for growth of new marine industry and its contribution to national economy. Because the new marine industry was recently introduced, the established system and policies for professionals in science and technology did not reflect demand for this new industry, which requires improvement. Since new marine industry is a new field, it is difficult for customized talent to be supplied directly from existing manpower training system. Therefore, it is necessary to cultivate talented people with fused thinking and ability. While many economists regard it as a global watershed, Indonesia was among the isolated few that emerged relatively unscathed. However it would be erroneous to assume that all of its economic sectors enjoyed the same fortune. A study was conducted to determine the most significant economic event for Indonesia’s public listed housing developers in the years leading up to, and after the GFC. Panel data regression analysis was conducted on the financial data of the sampled companies. The analysis shows that the GFC of 2008 was not the most significant event for the study period for housing market players, nor was it the previous year when housing investor confidence was shaken. Instead that accolade goes to the event of 2012. While public-listed non-financial companies were affected by the Eurozone Crisis that year, a combination of factors resulted in public-listed housing developers enjoying record financial performance. On the other hand, the risk assessment conducted on the safety requirements on artificial enabled social engineering attacks. So the simple meaning of social engineering is to refers to the psychologically and mentality use people to give secret information in the context of information security. A strategy of self-confidence for information collection, fraud, or access to the system, is different from a traditional \"con\" that it is often one of the more complex fraudulent schemes. The fact of climate change is now widely accepted by every major scientific body universally. The environment is positing challenges to everyone. People around the world have taken notice of the world's ills, and major governments are working on solutions to curb with the pressing issues to slow down the effects and begin to shape a better world for the future. Some of the initiatives by the Malaysian Government is the introduction of tax incentives among the companies. This study aims to provide an overview of the current tax incentive issues among companies in Malaysia. Purposive sampling method was adopted to collect responses from Malaysian companies by using a semi-structured questionnaire. The results reveal that majority of the companies acknowledged the predicament of rising production cost and emerging environmental issues yet most of them are unaware about the tax incentives offered by the Government. The study informed that the facilitating factors for tax incentives application and implementation are the companies’ financial resources; supportive management, and the clear directives from the Government. Time consuming in studying the requirement, complicated procedures and benefit reap from the tax incentives application are the main barriers that contribute to low tax incentive applications. The genuine usage of credit card in the form of convenience has diverged to associate with overspending, irresponsibility, revolving liability and bankruptcy. This infers that the possession of credit cards has brought upon a change in consumers’ usage behaviors. Thus, this study aims to determine the academicians’ credit card usage behaviors in a private tertiary institution in Malaysia. The dependent variable is usage behavior and the independent variables that serve as attributes are personal attitude, spending and repayment patterns. Meanwhile, the moderating variable in this study is gender. Data obtained via questionnaire were keyed into Statistical Packages for Social Science (SPSS) version 22.0 to generate descriptive statistics such as the demographic profile of respondents and inferential analysis such as independent sample t-test, Pearson correlation and reliability test. The finding revealed that repayment patterns are the most significant attribute of academicians’ credit card usage behaviors. On the other hand, there are no differences in credit card usage behavior between male and female academicians. Outcome from this study enable the government and credit card companies to relook on the requirement of granting credit card by taking into consideration of the holder’s repayment ability. Conflicts in the boardrooms can occur not just between groups of shareholders trying to acquire controlling interest in a company, but also between executive and non-executive directors who represent different stakeholders. Reputation damaging effects model predicts that boardroom tussle events have negative influence on stock returns, whilst the concentration of ownership and control that followed after the tussles can reduce agency problem and positively influence stock returns. This research includes all the 30 events of boardroom tussles involving 10 public listed companies over the period from year 2014 to year 2017 that are announced in Bursa Malaysia website as the sample. This research applies paired-sample compare means ttest method with hypothesized mean difference value of zero to determine whether cumulative abnormal return (CAR) is significant over various event windows for boardroom tussles. Results show that CAR is generally positive before the announcement, but become negative thereafter. In addition, CAR of affected companies is significantly negative over the period of five trading days after the event, indicating that the Malaysian stock market might not be semi-strong form efficient. However, income disparity between the developed and less developed states in Malaysia has persisted for more than 50 years without any sign of narrowing the gap in the future. Despite the various Malaysia Development Plans for the past several decades, regional disparity between states remains. Thus, the objective of the present paper is to address the question whether the less developed states, namely; Kedah, Kelantan, Pahang, Perlis, Sabah, Sarawak and Terengganu are catching-up with the more richer state of Selangor. Using annual data for the period 1970 to 2013, by employing the error-correction model our results suggests that there is cointegration and thus, imply convergence between less developed states and Selangor. Our catch-up analyses suggest that there is narrowing of disparity between Selangor and the less developed states. In this respect, the state government has an important role to play in enhancing growth by continuously providing stable economic environment for investment and other productive economic activities.
