While more common in children, rhabdomyosarcomas in adults are associated with poorer outcomes and require immediate, aggressive intervention. Here we present a case of high-grade pleomorphic rhabdomyosarcoma of the left thigh in a 58-year-old male with metastases to the lungs and pelvis. Due to the limited diagnostic and treatment protocols of this rare disease and subtype, the goal of this case study is to highlight a comprehensive clinical approach to this disease.","PeriodicalId":274729,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Clinical Case Studies Reviews & Reports","volume":"41 30","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-03-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140357679","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This disease must be managed with emergency. Later, aortic familial diseases must be screened in the children by genetic tests, because of the high risk of rapid developing dissection or aneurysm in the childhood, whose management is challenging. We report the cases of a pregnant woman operated for aortic dissection, and her son operated four years later for aneurysm of the ascending aorta, and aortic insufficiency. Children with familial aortic root aneurysm may have intervention of valve sparing and aortic replacement if the aortic regurgitation is minimal. But, long-term clinical and echocardiographic follow-up is mandatory.","PeriodicalId":274729,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Clinical Case Studies Reviews & Reports","volume":"166 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-01-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140475505","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It is estimated that it affects over 50.000.000 people around the world. Non- pharmacological strategies can play a vital role in dementia, considering that most of them are low-cost, safe and have no side effects.Psychoeducational programmes aim to inform the informal caregivers about dementia and its progress, and exercise has been showing positive effects in dementia. Their combination has been examined lately in a few studies in terms of enhancing the cognitive functions and quality of life for both patients and caregivers and decrease the unwanted behaviours.","PeriodicalId":274729,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Clinical Case Studies Reviews & Reports","volume":"114 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-01-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140473702","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A ‘transfusion mentality’ that one solution (allogenic blood transfusion) fits all anemia can lead to poor outcomes and increases the risk associated with allogeneic blood transfusion. The case report emphasizes that all anemia must be diagnosed first to determine etiology and hence appropriate treatment. It also shows that not all anemia needs blood transfusion. Respecting patient’s wishes can be in the best interest of the patient and the physician.","PeriodicalId":274729,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Clinical Case Studies Reviews & Reports","volume":"310 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-01-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140473451","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
