COVID-19 infection is common in the pediatric population, presenting a variety of respiratory manifestations and complications. \u0000Material and methods. The study included 64 children from the COVID-19 section, IMSP IMC, with a mean age of 2,04±0,4 years (variations 1 day-17 years), divided into 5 age groups: 0-1 month, 1-12 months, 1-3 years, 3-7 years, >7 years. The methodology of the study is expected to assess the significance of clinical manifestations in the COVID-19 infection episode. \u0000Results. With 21 cases, this study discovered a higher frequency of the disease in infants. The nosological expression of the infection was dominated by pneumonia and unique cases of infection in four children with upper respiratory infections. Every evolution was presented by 11 children, the moderate form being the dominant one. An almost constant sign in the children in the study was a febrile syndrome, which in 31 cases was > 38,0oC. Every second child showed catarrhal respiratory signs, cough, and cyanosis in 66,1% of the children, chest circulation in 32,1% of the cases, wheezing in 6. COVID-19 infection in hospitalized children resulted in respiratory complications in 81,3% of cases and toxic infections – 23,4%. \u0000Conclusions. COVID-19 infection in hospitalized children occurs mainly with pneumonia and only in unique cases of nasopharyngitis, with the constant presence of catarrhal respiratory signs, dyspnea, and fever, but also a susceptibility to develop severe forms and complications.

AH and CVD are quite often observed together, having, moreover, a conditioned commonality of the mechanisms of formation. The proximity of the location with the heart, the commonality of innervation, in the pathology of the esophagus, can create viscero-visceral reflexes and provoke arrhythmias, imitate coronary heart disease. Pathology of the upper gastrointestinal tract can lead to functional disorders of the cardiovascular system, manifested through the autonomic nervous system. The combined course of AH and CVD, observed, according to various sources, from 11.6% to 50%, is not just random, but may have pathogenetic and etiological patterns. Comorbidity of CVD and AH can enhance the development of the main pathological process and lead to disruption of adaptive mechanisms. \u0000Conclusions. Antimicrobial resistance is a widespread and tough challenge, if not impossible, to limit by biological, physical or geographical barriers. This is the reason behind the "One Health" approach, which guides all rules and research plans on antimicrobial resistance worldwide. The abusive and excessive use of antimicrobials in human medicine, veterinary practices, agriculture and aquaculture has traditionally been considered the main reason for the global spread of antimicrobial resistance. The purpose was to assess the epidemiological risk of wastewater as a source of antimicrobial-resistant bacteria concerning public health, focusing on low- and middle-income Eastern European countries. \u0000Material and methods. To achieve this goal, the development of a secure, cost-effective and sustainable technology has been planned, which could easily be introduced in low- and middle-income countries. There have been outlined the following steps: mapping the consumption of antimicrobial emulsions at the national level (primary, cross-sectional study, complete sampling, based on imported data and centralized public acquirement of medicines); research regarding the knowledge, attitudes and practices of the population on antimicrobial resistance (primary, cross-sectional, descriptive study); qualitative and descriptive evaluation of barriers to reduce the phenomenon of antimicrobial resistance by the healthcare services; research regarding the knowledge, attitudes and practices in human and veterinary healthcare on antimicrobial resistance (primary, cross-sectional, descriptive study); screening and investigation of the microbial resistance mechanisms to the strains isolated from patients with infectious pathological processes (preclinical study); analysis of the specific features and sampling of the Constructed Wetlands in Orhei (preclinical study). The Ethics Committee of the Ministry of Health of RM positively approved the Research PhageLand. \u0000Results. The obtained results of this research will contribute to a better understanding of the involved factors that are generating the broadening of antimicrobial resistance and how they influence the transmission among different hosts (bacteria, animals and humans). Moreover, it can also have a major impact to the engineering field and wastewater management companies by expanding the range of tools with sophisticated technologies, designed to reduce the risk of transmitting antimicrobial resistance in wastewater and improve sewerage practices. \u0000Conclusions. The effective use of knowledge and practices in the worldwide fight against antimicrobial resistance, providing useful data, applicable knowledge, efficient, environmentally friendly and cost-effective protocols and technologies, which can be scaled, implemented and used at the European and international levels with no economic or geographical obstacles. \u0000Acknowledgment. Thus, it became appropriate to conduct a study that would make it possible to control the level of oxidative stress induced by chemical compounds in cultures of pathogenic microorganisms. \u0000Material and methods. The objects of the in vitro study were Cu(II) coordination compounds; Co(II), Zn(II) and aromatic propenones synthesized a t the Department of Inorganic Chemistry of the State University of Moldova. Antimicrobial activity was tested on 5 reference strains. The level of oxidative stress was controlled using the hydrogen peroxide test, and the level of lipid peroxidation was determined indirectly by monitoring the product of peroxidation, namely the malondialdehyde. \u0000Results. Under the action of new chemical compounds with antimicrobial properties on reference cultures of Staphylococcus aureus ATCC 25923, Bacillus cereus ГИСК 8035, Escherichia coli ATCC 25922, Shigella sonnei ATCC 25931 and Salmonella enterica (Salmonella abony ГИСК 03/03y) in cultures that create a state of oxidative stress, confirmed by the accumulation of hydrogen peroxide and lipid peroxidation products. \u0000Conclusions. Thus, the process of lipid peroxidation, which follows the pattern of chain reactions, is one of the reactions that lead to the death of cell culture. Cardiovascular mortality in patients diagnosed with seronegative spondyloarthritis (SSN) is on the rise. Impairment of the cardiovascular system in ankylosing spondylitis (SpA) is 20-40%, in psoriatic arthritis (APs) 18-22% and in reactive arthritis (ARe) 1-3%.Material and methods. The study included 77 patients diagnosed with SSN. Laboratory (erythrocyte sedimentation rate – ESR, C-reactive protein – CRP, fibrinogen) and instrumental (echocardiography – EcoCG, electrocardiogram – ECG) data were analyzed.Results. In 35 patients diagnosed with SpA, the left branch hemiblock of the Hiss bundle was determined – 71% and bradycardia – 57%. Aortic valve (VAo) changes were diagnosed in 54% and left ventricular hypertrophy (LVH) in 57%. Elevated CRP values were found in 34.5% of cases, ESR – 22.8% and fibrinogen – 17.2%. In 24 patients with APs, 33.5% showed VAo induration and fibrosis. Another change diagnosed in these patients was LVH (37.5%). Cardiac conductivity disorders in 25% were due to the left branch hemiblock of the Hiss bundle, and among the increased inflammatory markers were: fibrinogen (16.6%) and CRP (12.5%). In 18 patients with ARe as a rhythm disorder, tachycardia is predominant – 94% and VAo damage in 27.7%. Inflammatory markers with values above the upper limit were fibrinogen (66%) and CRP (33%).Conclusions. Our study showed that SSN is closely related to the inflammatory syn-drome, on which the activity of the disease and the degree of damage to the cardiovascular system depend. Most often the heart is affected with its components.
