Sarcasm detection is an important task because it contributes directly to the improvement of the accuracy of sentiment analysis tasks. In this study, we propose a extraction method of sarcastic sentences in product reviews. First, we analyze sarcastic sentences in product reviews and classify the sentences into 8 classes by focusing on evaluation expressions. Next, we generate classification rules for each class and use them to extract sarcastic sentences. Our method consists of three stage, judgment processes based on rules for 8 classes, boosting rules and rejection rules. In the experiment, we compare our method with a baseline based on a simple rule. The experimental result shows the effectiveness of our method.","PeriodicalId":272739,"journal":{"name":"2016 5th IIAI International Congress on Advanced Applied Informatics (IIAI-AAI)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-07-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129289924","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This new graduate program is aimed to supply currently undermined skill-set to students from different home graduate or professional school. The scope of the Nitobe School program is to foster students to be a global leader who might contribute not only for local societies but also internationally by Team-Based-Learning (TBL) and Project-Based-Learning (PBL) methods. Since students have different expertise including the area of STEM and humanity, teachers cannot guide classes with their field, rather teachers need to educate students using a general topics. This general education program apparently requires different approaches from the conventional one. After completion of the first year of Nitobe School, we took place the survey that asked students how they felt about our new teaching methods. Overall, students appreciated with the new methods that we carried out, but there are some spaces for further improvement. In this report, we suggest potential ways to improve the Nitobe School program, which will be able to enhance further educating students, and at the same time educate teachers toward the TBL and PBL.","PeriodicalId":272739,"journal":{"name":"2016 5th IIAI International Congress on Advanced Applied Informatics (IIAI-AAI)","volume":"133 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-07-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116019812","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Three key issues have been currently realized. Firstly, Deficiency of medical personnel affects the quality of treatment, care and nursing. Secondly, many countries have been approaching a super-aged society. Proper policies are needed and applied to the elderly. Thirdly, current medical system lacks of preventive medicine application which efficiently prevents and relieves disease prevalence. Computer technology has been currently applied to several domains in order to yield better performance. Wearable devices have become usable and applicable to sense several vital signs and communicate them with other networked nodes via the Internet. In this paper, \"UbiNurSS on Mobile - A Ubiquitous Nursing Support System on Mobile Devices\" has been developed for nursing support. UbiNurSS employs available devices which are capable of measuring pulse which reflects pulse or heart rate and blood pressure. Mobile devices have also been used. UbiNurSS on Mobile consists of two sub-systems -- a mobile application which facilitates health monitoring and warning for both wearer and doctor, and a web application which facilitates the nurse's or caregiver's tasks at a nursing station or an ordinary dwelling. The heart rate report and corresponding warning can be generated in real-time. We demonstrate feasible applicability of UbiNurSS on Mobile in terms of users' satisfaction survey.","PeriodicalId":272739,"journal":{"name":"2016 5th IIAI International Congress on Advanced Applied Informatics (IIAI-AAI)","volume":"124 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-07-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122275592","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Android, the most popular mobile operating system, has a privilege-separated security system through a sophisticated permission control mechanism. Android Apps need to request permissions to access sensitive personal data and system resources, but empirical studies have found that various types of malicious software could obtain permissions and attack systems and applications by deceiving users and the security mechanism. In this paper, we propose a novel machine learning approach to detect malware by mining the patterns of Permissions and API Function Calls acquired and used by Android Apps. Based on static analysis of source code and resource files of Android Apps, binary and numerical features are extracted for qualitative and quantitative evaluation. Feature selection methods are applied to reduce the feature dimension and enhance the efficiency. Different machine learning methods, including Support Vector Machines, Random Forest and Neural Networks, are applied and compared in classification. The experimental results show that the proposed approach delivers accurate detection of Android malware. We deem that the proposed approach could help raise users' awareness of potential risks and mitigate malware threats for Android devices.","PeriodicalId":272739,"journal":{"name":"2016 5th IIAI International Congress on Advanced Applied Informatics (IIAI-AAI)","volume":"104 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-07-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127773189","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

One of the most important factors for a consumer's purchasing decision is a products exterior design. Products exterior design is dependent on sensibility of designer to demonstrate the features and functionalities of products. Hence, how to develop products exterior design which motivate consumers' affective responses on consumers' concerns is of great importance exterior design manufacturers. To understand contributing factors of products exterior for consumer's purchasing decision, this paper proposed to use conjoint analysis technique with Kansei Engineering System (KES) scheme. Conjoint analysis technique is used to determine what features of product exterior design which attracts consumers' concerns. The target of conjoint analysis is to obtain utility scores that represents factors of products exterior design, hence based on its score, it can be concluded which of the attributes of products exterior design more attract consumers' concerns in purchasing decision. This paper proposed novel method to analyze factors of products exterior design that reflect consumer purchasing concerns toward new products. First of all, questionnaires relating to kansei words which represents consumers' concerns with a new product exterior design were prepared. From 50 respondents answers for the questionnaires, 12 pairs of kansei word considered to represent consumer desire and/or concerns with the new product exterior design were extracted. After that, several features of the product exterior design, such as shape, product size, material, color and accessories, had prepared previously were combined with 12 pairs of the kansei word in order to get the attribute of the product exterior design which are considered to affect consumers' purchasing decision. The final result, we got Kansei word of “Contemporary - Conventional” is more considered by consumer as purchasing decision.","PeriodicalId":272739,"journal":{"name":"2016 5th IIAI International Congress on Advanced Applied Informatics (IIAI-AAI)","volume":"59 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-07-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"117271805","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this white paper, almost shelters did not have enough relief goods for evacuees, and also transportation capacities of relief goods were not enough by fuel shortage. Since it is difficult to estimate how many evacuees will come to the shelter, we can consider that the necessary relief goods satisfaction of each shelter is not same. Furthermore, it is necessary to consume the relief goods efficiently under the disaster. In this paper, we propose a goods sharing model based on demand and priority of shelters, which considers multiple relief goods. Also we formulate this problem as a mathematical optimization problem based on vehicle routing problems. To evaluate our model, we investigate a computational experiment by using Chofu city (in Tokyo) data.","PeriodicalId":272739,"journal":{"name":"2016 5th IIAI International Congress on Advanced Applied Informatics (IIAI-AAI)","volume":"95 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-07-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126847653","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The measures taken at the start of the digital age were to transfer transactions from the physical space to the digital sphere, a goal that has, for the most part, been achieved. On the other hand, digitization has moved higher education toward evidence-based decision-making, quantified research evaluation, and modularized flexible higher education provision. Digitization, which has progressed in alignment with the ongoing worldwide university reform and has even accelerated this reform, has affected a fundamental change to the higher education system. Worldwide university reform, which has been driven by globalization, marketization, and massification trends in higher education, has almost reached a saturation point. However, digitization is pushing higher education into a new phase. Higher education across the globe needs to pursue and implement new digitization measures for reform to have the kind of impact required.","PeriodicalId":272739,"journal":{"name":"2016 5th IIAI International Congress on Advanced Applied Informatics (IIAI-AAI)","volume":"140 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-07-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130901226","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Current researches in the study of using VPLs for educational purposes primarily focus on understanding motivational benefits and computational thinking gains. All these educational VPLs claim to scaffold students learning computational thinking concepts. Although the evaluations show that students may exhibit more enthusiasm, it is not clear what computational thinking concepts are actually learned by students. In this paper, we attempt to develop a visual programs recognition tool for student-created StarLogo TNG simulations which representing the computational thinking concepts implemented by the students. Through collecting student's created projects over time, this visual programs recognition tool can possibly indicate the patterns of computational thinking in science simulations created by StarLogo TNG.","PeriodicalId":272739,"journal":{"name":"2016 5th IIAI International Congress on Advanced Applied Informatics (IIAI-AAI)","volume":"33 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2016-07-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132558184","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
