On the other hand, improved health record management can help lessen this. The Electronic Health Records (EHR) sharing system is cutting-edge healthcare delivery. The system’s tools can anticipate results throughout a patient’s life, measure treatment efficacy, follow therapy, and detect human errors. Centralized and cloud-based systems are susceptible to security attacks and illegal modifications that can cause privacy issues and sometimes life-threatening situations. Integrity and interoperability across the treatment continuum are top priorities for major industry players. Given the massive amount of EHR data, security concerns, and variety of healthcare information systems, achieving this aim remains a challenge. Blockchain is an immutable ledger used in EHR systems due to its inherent immutability and privacy attributes. Blockchain-based systems are reliable and efficient. Another advantage of the Blockchain application in healthcare record management is the increased interoperability of records that can further help in better availability of the patient’s records resulting in better healthcare opportunities and collaboration. Quantum computing developments threaten such systems as quantum computers can easily break the algorithms assumed to be impossible to crack in years. This paper reviews the application of Blockchain in EHR, possible challenges, and quantum computers’ effect on the reliability and security of Blockchain-based EHR systems.","PeriodicalId":272452,"journal":{"name":"2022 4th International Conference on Smart Sensors and Application (ICSSA)","volume":"36 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-07-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130033343","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

An Android-based portable device was installed with a developed electrochemical software where it served as an electrochemical reader and also able to display results on the same screen. A GPS tracking was included in the device to pinpoint the location of the analysis performed, especially during field testing. The device was also linked with cloud system which can be accessed through a dedicated website. The website served as platform for electrochemical and authorisation settings, as well as data storage. Data and information breach can be minimized as it only permitted authorised and registered personnel to access this cloud system. The developed portable electrochemical reader then was applied for in-situ detection of multi-mycotoxins using a functionalized three-electrode-system screen-printed carbon electrode (SPCE) as the sensing medium; was attached to the reader. Standard curves for aflatoxin B1, ochratoxin A and fumonisin B1 in grain corn matrix were successfully developed using the SPCEs and developed prototype. The application of the portable reader was eventually tested on grain corn field in Chuping, Perlis for aflatoxin B1 detection.","PeriodicalId":272452,"journal":{"name":"2022 4th International Conference on Smart Sensors and Application (ICSSA)","volume":"48 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-07-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115839086","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Given the fast increase in demand by different applications on storage, the challenge is to keep up with performance requirements by avoiding bottlenecks in the network. Some examples of these applications are Google Drive, YouTube, and Megaupload. Data centre systems are intended to fulfill the information transmission request of tightly interrelated hosts with the network topology and routing devices playing a part in influencing the latency and other network performances. At present, the fat-tree network is among the most generally utilized topologies for data centre systems. As traffic demand increases in the data centres, the traffic load needs to be shared between servers and inevitably load balancing is required. In software-defined data centres with software-defined networks, the key to load balancing is in the form of smart congestion-conscious routing. It is an important element in promoting the accessibility and adaptability that further prompts to accomplish a minimal reaction application time. This paper reviews load balancing techniques in software-defined data centres with the fat-tree architecture. Load balancing techniques have become smarter and more effective over the years with reductions on overhead statistical collection and improvement in the quality of service. Nevertheless, focus on optimal energy usage is another dimension that can be investigated in promoting green computing.","PeriodicalId":272452,"journal":{"name":"2022 4th International Conference on Smart Sensors and Application (ICSSA)","volume":"318 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-07-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131070788","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Stress is the body's natural response to difficulty or a great deal of work. Each of us has a unique reaction to stress. Our capacity for adaptation can be influenced by our genetics, early life events, personality, and socioeconomic situations. This study used handgrip strength (HGS) reading for stress level screening together with Depression Anxiety Stress Scale (DASS) as an early assessment tool. This data of DASS and HGS were analyzed using Random Forest and Support Vector Machine. The dataset is normalized between 0 to 1 due to different units in different measurement tools. The result shows that Random Forest gives an accuracy of 93.75%, a specificity of 94.90%, and a sensitivity of 93.80%. However, SVM gives 87.50% accuracy, 90.30% specificity, and 87.50% sensitivity. This concludes that the Random Forest is better than SVM in terms of stress level classification.","PeriodicalId":272452,"journal":{"name":"2022 4th International Conference on Smart Sensors and Application (ICSSA)","volume":"2 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-07-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121876278","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The application of vision-based robot sensors using several cameras mounted on the ceiling of the robot's work area can accurately track the robot's position and orientation. The results from the camera sensor are processed in the form of the coordinates of the robot's current point, which is then converted into the distance and angle of inclination of the robot to the destination point. Then, the robot will be navigated to the destination point using a fuzzy logic algorithm. All computing processes are carried out on a centralized Personal Computer (PC), which generates data on the speed of the robot's right wheel and left wheel motors. The data will be sent to the robot via Bluetooth as an instruction directly executed by the robot. In this study, the cost of the robot has been reduced to a low cost. Still, the optical flow method is not suitable for real-time navigation implementation because it requires a long process, causing a significant delay. In addition, the system for determining the orientation of the robot direction using the Principal Component Analysis (PCA) method has a high error rate of 33% because it is often confused between the front and back of the robot. Therefore, we need a tracking method that is lighter and suitable for real-time implementation and a more accurate method of determining direction.","PeriodicalId":272452,"journal":{"name":"2022 4th International Conference on Smart Sensors and Application (ICSSA)","volume":"8 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-07-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115692852","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Hence, this requires a workaround that will mitigate the threat posed by alcohol-intoxicated drivers. This study aims to develop a system that prevents drunk driving by developing an IoT based system that can sense alcohol intoxication levels in a driver’s breath. When the system detects an exceeding level of alcohol in the breath sample, the system will cut the electric supply to the servo motor, and an SMS will be sent to the relevant authorities and the exact location using the GPS module. Therefore, preventing alcohol-intoxicated drivers from being on the road can be reduced, and the safety of road users can increase. This will help deter the painful consequences and losses that occur because of drunk drivers on the road, as well as offer an economically efficient solution for prevention of drunk driving.","PeriodicalId":272452,"journal":{"name":"2022 4th International Conference on Smart Sensors and Application (ICSSA)","volume":"40 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-07-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122795357","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In time, the number of elderly people will increase due to a higher life expectancy over the years. In 1950, the average life cycle is at 46 years and in 2019 the projection expands to 72.6 years. The main reason for this increase is due to better global health services and quality of life. Mobile health technologies are being implemented in most areas related to the healthcare industry to aid elderly patients by monitoring and collecting data related to the diseases and their critical level. This paper described the design and development of an IoT health monitoring system for the elderly. This IoT system consists of two sensing modules, PI and P3. PI measures the body temperature, heart rate, and oxygen saturation (SpO2), while P3 is an accelerometer sensor that detects a fall. Data gathered from these sensors are dispatched wirelessly to the Raspberry Pi gateway and are later stored in a cloud database called InfluxDB. A mobile application is built using the Flutter framework for mobile data visualization purposes. Users can view four screens in the application, including the dashboard for data sensors PI and P3, the profile page, and the notification page. The dashboard displays the elderly data embedded using Grafana. If the patient falls, an alert (OneSignal) in the notification will be sent postfall instantaneously.","PeriodicalId":272452,"journal":{"name":"2022 4th International Conference on Smart Sensors and Application (ICSSA)","volume":"81 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-07-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"117080601","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

And living alone far from their family, make things harder. As a human of 60 years old and above, they might have difficulties to remember and become alert of the medicine time. Thus, developing this ELA Remind which is a medicine box reminder system for Elderly Living Alone (ELA) by implementing the Infrared Sensor, Internet of Things and Mobile Application. By having this system, elderly will always be reminded on time to take their medicine every day without fail. In fact, it helps to check on their medication intake history to ensure that the elderly was taking the medicine as per schedule. At the same time, it helps reduce the wastage of medication as well. Besides, the most impactful element in this system is that the reminder will also be sent to the elderly’s families so that they can monitor their elders remotely through the mobile application. In addition, this system will enable users or families to check back on the history of time taken of the medicine whenever needed.","PeriodicalId":272452,"journal":{"name":"2022 4th International Conference on Smart Sensors and Application (ICSSA)","volume":"6 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-07-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123764393","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In conjunction with this, order batching is introduced to expedite the orders for the picking process. An optimized batching order is one of the methods to minimize the traveling path, which eventually reduces operation costs in a warehouse. This problem is known as the NP-hard problem (Nondeterministic Polynomial time), typically solved using metaheuristic approaches. One of the metaheuristic approaches is called Simulated Annealing (SA). The main purpose of this study is to propose a SA algorithm for solving this problem to optimize order batching so that it can minimize the total travel distance in a warehouse. Under the precedence of a randomly defined list of orders and a fixed warehouse layout, a simulation was done to investigate the performance of SA in batching solutions. This is done by using different sample sizes and evaluating the SA algorithm’s performance to batch orders compared to other existing batching methods. This research work found that SA method performs better than other existing batching methods such as Sort batching and First-Come First-Served (FCFS). From the results obtained, SA found the shortest distance for all different sample sizes compared to other existing batching methods, that is, by reducing the total distance by 64.27% and 15.46%, respectively, for FCFS method and Sort batching method. This proves that SA is efficient in reducing the total distance, and future implications of this method may be applied in advanced warehouse technology that uses drones or other robots.","PeriodicalId":272452,"journal":{"name":"2022 4th International Conference on Smart Sensors and Application (ICSSA)","volume":"36 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-07-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131327506","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
