The initial circular monopole receiving antenna is slotted to create multiple available current paths, thus achieves dual-band resonance at 2.45 GHz and 5.8 GHz. The feed line of the antenna is also grooved to form a filter, enhancing its harmonic rejection capability. The antenna exhibits multi-directionality, making it suitable for practical use. In our experimentation using the very low power of incident wave (-4 dBm for 2.4 GHz and -7 dBm for 5.8 GHz), the Wi-Fi rectenna possesses an efficiency of 55% and 29% at 2.45 GHz and 5.8 GHz, respectively. This Wi-Fi energy harvester is potential for battery-less wireless sensor application.","PeriodicalId":272452,"journal":{"name":"2022 4th International Conference on Smart Sensors and Application (ICSSA)","volume":"76 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-07-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132353744","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The network architecture and routing technique can have a major impact on performance parameters such as latency. The fat-tree network is now one of the most popular data centre network architectures. In recent times, data centre network traffic has been steadily expanding. Because of the high volume of traffic, it is nearly impossible for a single server to satisfy all the client’s requests. In this paper, a bio-inspired Territorial Predator Scent Marking Algorithm (TPSMA) is proposed for load balancing in a fat-tree software-defined data centre. The bio-inspired algorithm was developed to increase network Quality of Service (QoS). The proposed technique is validated using the network emulator Mininet, with the Open Network Operating System ONOS controller. The performance study conducted showed that the throughput and network utilization were improved, hence improving the QoS.","PeriodicalId":272452,"journal":{"name":"2022 4th International Conference on Smart Sensors and Application (ICSSA)","volume":"144 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-07-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134463818","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Smart healthcare systems (SHS) are one of the most important sectors where IoT solutions are frequently deployed. With the usage of wearable devices, IoT-based smart healthcare systems have considerably improved the benefits of the healthcare industry. By combining IoT sensors with health monitoring equipment, smart healthcare minimises hospitalisation expenses and enables timely treatment for a variety of medical issues. Nonetheless, SHS is very vulnerable to a wide range of security breaches, including data leakage, data tampering, and forging. In this research, we present a comparative analysis of various machine learning-based techniques for successfully detecting intrusion in SHS. We use UNSW-NB15 network intrusion benchmark dataset to evaluate our proposed model. The evaluation results show that the AdaBoost classifier can detect network intrusion with an accuracy of 95%.","PeriodicalId":272452,"journal":{"name":"2022 4th International Conference on Smart Sensors and Application (ICSSA)","volume":"7 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-07-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115480225","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In reality, SMEs have limited resources for cybersecurity. Furthermore, dealing with the fourth industrial revolution and the post-COVID-19 era, the challenges are not limited to cybersecurity only but also cyber resilience. Over 200 cyber resilience assessment frameworks have been proposed. Thus, SMEs need help to operate cyber resilience as a simple. This paper reviews the technical architectures behind the cyber resilience (CR) to detect processes and monitor assets continuously from incidents in the modeling level. The technical architectures of the CR model are built on five layers. The five layers are services, data, generative models, data analysis, and resilience scale. Machine learning and data mining based a probabilistic model approach works to solve the problem of the CR model. The approach is taken to ensure that the probabilistic model is adaptive in the face of uncertainty. The CR model helps to explain the technical architecture of each layer to realize the probabilistic model in practice.","PeriodicalId":272452,"journal":{"name":"2022 4th International Conference on Smart Sensors and Application (ICSSA)","volume":"77 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-07-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129874002","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

These computer vision techniques are frequently utilized in product categorization, identification, and estimation. Implementing computer vision in agriculture will boost agricultural output and quality by assisting farmers in monitoring agricultural activities. Currently, the oil palm harvester judges oil palm maturity manually using natural signs like oil palm colour appearance and the number of oil palm loose fruit drops under the tree. This paper focuses on developing automated detection systems using a deep learning model to detect and classify oil palm fruit bunch based on their ripeness level. The ripeness of oil palm can be classified into four maturity levels: unripe, under ripe, ripe, and over ripe. There are two approaches in this paper namely detection of oil palm fruit bunches and classification of oil palm fruit bunches. This paper employes several types of YOLO algorithms such as YOLOv3, YOLOv3-tiny, YOLOv4, and YOLOv4-tiny to compare the performance and accuracy of different versions of YOLO. It is shown that YOLOv4 has a higher accuracy of 98.70% in detecting and classifying oil fruit bunches based on their ripeness level compared to YOLOv3, YOLOv3-tiny, and YOLOv4-tiny.","PeriodicalId":272452,"journal":{"name":"2022 4th International Conference on Smart Sensors and Application (ICSSA)","volume":"7 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-07-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128039925","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Handgrip strength measurement is a popular method that has been used in rehabilitation for the recovery of muscle strength of the upper limb. There are also previous studies that utilized electromyography for hand function assessment. Several studies have been conducted to investigate the relationship between static posture and handgrip strength, however, only a few electromyography studies examined the effects of sitting and standing on the muscle activities during hand gripping movement. The research aims to compare electromyography signals during sitting and standing postures while performing handgrip activity and to identify the postures that have a higher risk of musculoskeletal injuries. The comparison between handgrip strength and electromyography signals showed that both methods can detect the effect of posture on handgrip activity, even if the feedback values are small. The results show that the grip strength value during the sitting position is significantly higher than the grip strength value during standing. Meanwhile, the feature extraction namely, root mean square produces values of electromyography related to the posture and force. The result showed that the electromyography amplitude is higher for sitting posture than for standing position which is different from handgrip measurement. This is due to the muscular load in the sitting posture being higher than the standing posture. In conclusion, the sitting and standing postures have a significant effect on both handgrip strength and electromyography measurements when performing upper limb studies.","PeriodicalId":272452,"journal":{"name":"2022 4th International Conference on Smart Sensors and Application (ICSSA)","volume":"125 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-07-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130180019","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The mini prototype of the RO system utilizes three types of sensors which are pressure sensors, conductivity sensors and flow sensors. Using the ESP8266 Arduino module, the system has successfully captured the sensors’ signals and transmit the data to the cloud storage. The developed web application interface has managed to view the data from the sensors of the working prototype and display them in a graphical form to be used as input for further analysis.
