When the ship goes te multiple ports-oflcall, the stowage problem has been considered at each port in her routine. First the interference component on the tugboat's braking force is predicted considering the scaLe efTect of ship's wake velocity d{stribution, and using the braking force ceefficient of tugboat-self in the uniform flow<2). Next, the interference omponent on ship's hull resistance is also estimated under an assumption, which this component in fu11 scale ship is in proponion to Schlichting's frictional resistance as the component obtained in scale model experiments being a constant.
