In this paper, a 3-D imaging system is proposed. It works in W-band in order to achieve high resolution. The image reconstruction algorithm used to form a focused image at near field is based on spatial frequency domain, and process of algorithm is displayed detail. The experiment results show that the resolution of the image is better than 5mm. Because transmission of THz signal is seriously affected by atmosphere, especially water vapor, more sensitive THz detection techniques are essential for efficient and long-distance THz communications. Based on 0.5THz superconducting SIS receiver, demonstration of THz communication including FM Gaussian noise and FM square wave signal is introduced in this paper. The transmitter is formed of an amplifier-multiplier chain, where the power amplifier delivers a Psat =16dBm at 110GHz to a passive frequency doubler. The PA stage employs a novel single-ended to 2-way differential power combiner based on vertically coupled transmission lines. A passive frequency doubler implemented using MOS varactors follows the PA. The 216GHz transmitter delivers a maximum of 0.5mW at 216GHz with a 2.8% bandwidth, while consuming 500mW from a 1V DC supply. The solution is based on a fully integrated baseband IC (BBIC) embedded with USB3.0 interfaces and a low power 60 GHz transceiver SOC (RFIC) embedded inside an antenna in packaging system. The BBIC uses frequency domain equalizer and preambles to perform synchronization, automatic gain control, estimation and compensation for better system performance. Two split-type dual-band BPFs are studied and combined to form quad-band responses. The quadruplet coupling topology is introduced to generate source-load coupling, resulting in one pair of transmission zeros at each side of all the four passbands. The proposed antenna can accordingly operate at one of the two frequency bands which can be reconfigured by changing the dimensions of the antenna. One PIN diode is added to a dual-band monopole antenna structure to implement switch function of the dual frequency bands with the radiation patterns nearly unchanged. The two passbands of the proposed design are located at about 3.81-4.18 GHz and 6.7-7.57 GHz for the return loss larger than 10 dB. The weakly nonlinearity is characterized by a third-order quasi-memoryless polynomial which is widely used and there are no assumptions on the statistical properties of the driven signals. The output is orthogonalized using Gram-Schmidt method and the envelope of the input signal is characterized by its four and six order moments, named waveform factor Γ and Φ in this paper. Then the gain compression and power of uncorrelated nonlinear distortion are directly expressed using input power Γ and Φ the third-order input intercept point.
